Lifting her trembling hand to touch his face, Zoe stifled a sob that escaped her lips at the overwhelming sensation of seeing her love in front of her eyes.

"I love you" a shaky whisper left her lips and that was the last nail in the coffin for Austin. Holding her close to his chest, he started sobbing.

"I love you more baby" he said kissing on the top of her head. Zoe wrapped her hands around his waist and his warmth calmed the storm in her mind.

"I don't wish to disturb you love birds, but patient care comes first" Dr. Williams walked into the room with a warm smile on his face. Walking towards the Doctor, Austin engulfed him in a tight hug.

"Thank you so much for saving her" he said making Dr. Williams smile.

"Its my duty to save her. Now lets get done with the tests so that you can go home" he said moving towards Zoe followed by the nurse. Austin was standing right next to her when the Doctor was examining her.

"Everything is fine. Zoe, you might feel a little difficulty in breathing for 3-4 days, and it is normal. It's the result of inhaling too much smoke. Everything else looks good. Drink lots of water and keep yourself hydrated, and if you are facing any trouble, just come and see me." Dr William said and left the room.

"Nurse, how are the others, I mean the other people who were brought in along with me. " Zoe asked impatiently.

"Everyone is fine. Just small burns and bruises. They should be fine in a week or so. Take rest" she replied and left the room.

"Austin, please go and check on them once" Zoe requested him and he left the room without a word. Zoe closed her eyes let the tears escape, disappearing into the pillow.

"Hey Jackson. How are you man?" Austin first spotted Jackson and walked towards him.

"I'm good man. Just small scratches. How's Zoe?" he asked in a concerned tone

"Yep, she is fine. You can go and meet her. If she sees you herself, her heart will be at peace" Austin said and was looking around to find the girls

"Do you know where Rose and Sophie are?"

"Yep. They are in the next room. Both of them were outside the café, fortunately when the accident happened. So they are fine. Just getting the routine check-up done"

"How did all this happen Jackson? Don't you guys have a high end fire safety system at the café?"

"Honestly even I was surprised when I saw the flames. Zoe was at the counter and I was in the kitchen. Out of nowhere there was fire all around. I didn't get much time to respond. Even the fire alarm didn't go off. I tried to walk to the front side of the café, where Zoe was taking a nap, but the kitchen door was completely covered in fire.

I ran to the nearest window and breaking it I jumped out. Then I ran to the front door and banged it to wake Zoe up. I called the fire department, because there was no way Zoe could come out. Everything around was burning. Those guys came and pulled her out. I'm sorry man, I couldn't save her" Jackson said placing his hand on Austin's shoulder.

"No, please don't say that. You saved her. Its because of you that she is safe. I owe you big time man" Austin hugged Jackson who reciprocated the same.

"No problem. Take care of her and yourself as well. When are they discharging her?" Jackson asked breaking the hug.

"Umm, the doctor said that a few tests have to be made to make sure everything is fine. We can leave once that's over" Austin replied and Jackson nodded in acknowledgement.

"Cool then. I'll be leaving in sometime. Doctor has cleared me to go home. You give me a call once everything has settled. You know the restaurant and all" he said scratching the back of his neck and Austin gave him a faint smile.

"That place was her baby. I am not sure how is she going to react." Austin said in a low tone looking at nowhere in particular "Well, we will take care of that once she is physically fine. Insurance and stuff are gonna take some time. Can you come and meet Zoe before leaving and please ask the girls to come as well, I couldn't see them around. Zoe will calm down if she see's you all herself" Austin asked Jackson who nodded in approval.

"Take care man, see you around" Austin said and left the room back to his girl.

Austin saw a nurse leaving Zoe's room and hurried in that direction with a frown covering his forehead.

"Is everything fine? Why was the nurse here? Is it hurting somewhere?" he asked in a worried tone making Zoe sigh.

"Austin I am fine. The nurse was taking my blood sample for tests. She said the reports will come in couple of hours." Her answer brought his heartbeat back to normal pace.

Kissing her forehead he sat next to her on the stool in the room.

"Go and get something to eat. You look tired" Zoe said caressing his face to which he nodded in a No.

"I am not leaving you here"

"Austin, I am fine. Really fine! And the doctor himself confirmed it right? Stop getting worried baby. Even I am hungry. Go! Move your lazy ass and go bring some food." She said in a tone which left no room for argument.

"Fine Hitler! I will get US some food" he said stressing on the word 'US', making it very difficult to stop the laughter which was ready to erupt, seeing his adorable expressions.

"On the way, ask the nurse if I can drink coffee, if she says Yes, bring me one cuppachino. My head is bursting with pain and my system needs caffeine." She dismissed him waving her hand making him groan in annoyance.

'So bossy!' Austin mumbled and left the room. He heard her soft giggles and automatically a smile crept on his face.
