"For Aarav to become Mafia's next heir." Manik words shocked me to the core. I felt Aarav tighten his grip on me.

"Manik" I asked him as if I heard wrong, Manik looked down in guilt.

"Why are you asking him Nandini? It's a Mafia family, you know, you married him, his son should be the next heir for this family. After me Manik came, now Aarav. You should accept it." Raj Malhotra said in his boss' tone. All were seeing me in pity and guilt, all knew this but why hiding it from me.

"Raj, he is a small boy." Neyonika Ma tries to convince him.

"Didn't we talk about it neyonika yesterday." Raj closed her mouth in his words. I am getting angry that Manik is not speaking anything.

"For that get your son marry to someone else and get heir for your Mafia." I said angrily, pulled Mia from Neyonika's hands and held Aarav and walked out form there.

"Nandini" all called me but I didn't turn.

"Papa, Ma.. Papa" Mia crying seeing Manik and struggling in my hands, but I can't do anything now. Manik's bodyguard opened a car door for me, I sat and drove off from there.

"Mia, your Papa is not coming now. Shh" I shouted at Mia, who looked with tears pout. Ayyappa.

"Mia" Mia got down from my lap, went to Aarav who was sitting near otherside window and looking out. She sat on his lap and kept her head on his shoulder, who started caressing her hair.

I palm my face, tears rolling from my eyes. Ayyappa what can I do? I can't let my son into the mafia like Manik, I saw Manik's wound which is still fresh in his body. His father was cruel and let his son into the Mafia. I can't let my son suffer like Manik and become a monster like him.

I felt my phone vibrating, I saw Cabir calling, I cut it. Again and  again all called me but I didn't answer but one person who should answer me didn't call.

Manik!!

Car finally stopped in front of my apartment, it's the Manik penthouse. He doesn't want me to stay anywhere away from him.

I saw beside me it was empty, Aarav caressed an angry Mia inside. Ayyappa I unknowingly Mia is getting hurt now. I whipped my tears and entered the house to be welcomed by Mia sniffing the sound. I closed the door and walked to Aarav's room, I knew they would be there.

I saw Aarav patting Mia's head, hiding her face in a pillow and sniffing. Aarav saw me and gave an assured smile. My boy!

I went and sat beside them, I don't know what to say. I hurt my baby, I am the worst mother.

"Mia baby." I tried to touch her hair, but she jerked my hands and sat on bed angrily. Aww! She is so cute.

"Ma Mia gussa." Mia said angrily while sniffing.

"Mia Ma sorry. Please baby, Ma shouldn't scold Mia baby." I said while making a baby face. Mia nodded no and hugged Aarav.

"Hey little mouse, see Ma is sorry. She didn't scold Mia seriously. See Ma crying." Aarav tries to convince her. I really will cry more if I am here. Tears themselves follow my eyes. Stupid eyes.

Mia sneaked out his shoulder and looked at me, cutely.

"Mia is a bad girl Ma, she scolds Ma." Aarav glared at mia. She showed her tongue and walked into my arms.

"No cry cry." She whipped my tears and kissed my eyes. I hugged her tightly and cried more, Aarav was smiling at us, I pulled him in.

My babies are my life, I can't let anyone hurt them even if it's Manik.

"Hello two babies, now only I stopped her crying, you too don't cry Ma." Aarav said, wiping his imaginary tears. Me and Mai giggled and kissed his cheek, he made a yuck face and whipped it.

"Ma Mia Solly." Mia said sorry to me, aww my baby.

"No baby Ma sorry to scold you unnecessarily. Ma bad na." I said, whipping her face with my saree.

"No Ma good girl." Mia hugged me and kissed my cheek.

"Then me" Aarav asked her.

"You bady." Mia showed her tongue, Aarav glared and made a face. We giggled at him. After talking with them, Mia soon slept because of crying.

"Ma." Aarav called me, I kept a pillow on either side of Mia and turned to him. He made me sit on the bed near Mia and held my hands.

"You don't stress yourself, I don't be like Papa. Don't cry again please." Aarav said to me, I saw him with a tearful smile.

I kissed his forehead, and hugged him "I know baby, I won't let you be like Papa" I whispered to him and caressed his hair.

" Ma let's sleep here, cranky Mia will get up again at night." Aarav said climbing on bed, I giggled and climbed beside him. He slept beside Mia, I was on his right side, Mia left. I patted his chest and humming tone. 

"Good night, beautiful." He smiled and slept. I smiled and caressed his hair for some time. I don't know when I unknowingly slept, while darkness consumes me. I heard the door opening sound, is Manik here? But I couldn't open my eyes so I slept.

Next day, Mia was cranky. Manik didn't come here or called me. I don't know what is on his stupid mind. 

I parked my car near School, turned back to see grumpy Mia sitting with pout.

"Mia baby don't be angry, Papa will come soon. Morning itself is an angry face." I asked her cutely, she glared at me and turned her face again. Haww! This girl and her angry.

"Ma leave her, she will be ok on her own, if her papa comes. You don't worry, drive safely back." Aarav said like a father getting down with his bag. I giggled and got down.

"Little mouse are you going to get down or not." Aarav asked her, she glared at us and got  down by holding my hands.

"My babies" I kissed her cheek and said "no pranks, no beating others, be a good boy and girl. Be friendly, and be good children." Both nodded at my daily rate and walked inside aarva holding her hands. 

Mia turned back and saw me, I frowned, she left his hands and ran to me.

"Mia slow down." I am scared she will fall, she hugged my legs and smiled at me.

"Go safe." she said smiling and ran back to Aarav, who was standing proudly at his sister. He knows she can't be angry at me and Manik for so long.

"Ma leave your Ayyappa while driving at least." Aarav shouted, I fake glared at them. They both giggled and left inside. I sat in the car happily, and started driving back home. I need to ask Manik for permission for job searching. My phone rang, I saw it's showing

Monster😈, I pressed green button after thinking more time.

"Hello, come to my apartment at 5. Drive slow. Leave your Ayyappa while driving." He said all in one go and cut. Ayyappa this guy na, giving me tension. I scolded him and brought him to his apartment which is opposite to my house.

I don't know in mumbai how many houses he has, whichever country he goes to, he buys a house. I stopped near his apartment and got inside. His apartment is on the top floor, this apartment.

Flat no-37th, Manik Malhotra, his name. I opened the door directly without knocking, because I won't ask his permission. I looked around, it's been three years but all are the same except painting. All became dark, black and grey, I walked to the balcony on the hall which had a full view of Mumbai.

" Miss you" I felt his hot breath hit my ears, shiver went down my spine. I turned and saw him, only to be shocked. His hair was messy, no shirt, only night pants, and eyes were full red.

Ayyappa!!

"Manik, did you drink all night?" I asked him, he was smiling like a fool.

"Manik did you?" I asked again, he came so close to me, cupped my face.

"Do you really think I will allow our son to be in the mafia?" He asked me looking straight into my eyes.

"Ma..." He cut my words "shh, I know you think that." He chuckled sadly and turned around to see his back which was covered with tattoos fully, but I can see several wounds and marks in it.

His tattoo means a broken angel, he is too broken.

"You can see right, I was only 5 like our Aarav, I didn't go to school, played like other children Nandu. I was teached how to kill people, how to use weapons and training. Got many wounds, for every mistake I used to get beaten with sticks, this all that only." His voice broken, I caressed his back, I know how he got this wound, but never thought like this. He never shared his past with me in our 7 years marriage or 2 years love life.

He laughed and turned to me, "I don't want my son to like this Nandu, but you thought" he held my neck and raised my head straight, "you thought I would make my son suffer. What you said "get your son marry to someone and get heir" how dare you say that dammit." He growled at my face.

Nandini is ready to face the monster now- my subconscious said scaredly and ran.

"Ma..Manik....I was scared." I said while holding his hands which held my neck.

"Really, but you should have believed wifey. You didn't, so my wifey needs punishment right?" He smirked at me, scared I knew what his punishment would be. Ayyappa morning itself.

"Ma.. Manik.. listen to me." I tried to talk but all went inside when he smashed his rough lips into mine, started kissing more deep and rough. He explored my whole mouth and biting my lips harder till it bled, my hands went to his hair pulling it.

He groaned and after 20 minutes broke the kiss, I breathed heavily, joining his forehead with mine.

"Punishment is not over wifey." He said without giving me time he threw me on his shoulder and walked inside his room ignoring my protests.
