19 yrs old....

Sean and i met at the tree in the middle if the flower field as we always did but this visit was very different from the rest of our meetings.

"Hey sean."

"Hey, we really need to talk about something."

"Is it about wonderland? Because im totally willing to go right now!"

"No (y/n) this isnt about that nonsense we've been hallucinating!" He yelled.

That shot and arrow through my heart. "Wh-what that isnt nonsense we both seen it weve spent 12 days and nights there weve been going there since we were young how now are you calling it nonsense when it was you who kept pestering me about going?"

" i was young and dumb we are still young and dumb (y/n) we have so much more to learn and go through thats why (y/n) I-i'm marrying signe like my parents want me to and we are moving back to Ireland."

I felt like my heart was now just being beaten to a bloody pulse. A tear fell down my face. "W-what sean you said that."

"I know what i said and ive said alot of things i dont mean. We were young and stupid we need to grow up im already on my path of growing you have to grow up too."

Tears began to pour out of my eyes hearing all the things our parents mouth coming from the one person who i love and the only person who understands me is saying these horrible thing basically insulting me. "S-sean why are you doing this?"

"Because its the adult thing to do the right thing to do you need to do what your mother tells you to. Stop wearing pants underneath your dresses. Start acting like a lady and get married."

"But sean we are married in wonderland."

"Dont speak of that place its nonsense it doesn't exist nobody in this town knows of that place so its obviously fake we were never married we never had a honeymoon. We never did any of that stuff that you are thinking about."

At this point he couldnt look at me. "This isnt you you wouldnt say those things to me."

"Youre right this isnt me its the new me. I just came to say good bye (y/n) i hope you grow up and live a normal life."

That day he left me there on my knees bawling my eyes out. Heart aching, hands shaking and all around a mess. A heartbroken mess.

I watched him get married to signe from afar i watched him leave with her and i knew he may never come back.

I was heartbroken and one day decided to do what sean said i got married. I wasnt happy in that marriage though he said he wanted kids and i told him i didnt want any so he then became very abusive he wouldnt rape me just hit me multiple times and leave for the pub. One night while he was out i grabbed everything i had and ran away. I no longer cared about my life in this stupid small town.
I was gonna follow my dream of becoming an explorer even if everyone i trusted and thought was behind me had abandoned me and let me down and left me heart broken i was gonna prove every last one of them wrong.

I was gonna become the first woman to ever explore the world by ship!
I was gonna be the first female captain!

Its been a year since i left the town im now captain of my own ship i called

In honor of wonderland which i plan on visiting soon when i return back home.
Ive visited many places
China, France, Scotland, Japan.

I am a very respected woman in all countries.
Ive met the leaders in all countries as a matter of fact.
Theres one place i wanted to go but i refuse to visit.

And its obvious why sean is there i dont want to run into him hes the last person i want to see. Well besides my ex-husband but he died. My mun set me a telegran that said so.
My mom doesnt 100% back me up on my decision to become captain of this boat but as long as i come home safe every two years and i write back to her she doesnt pester me about it.

"Captain we are tired and are approaching an island. Can we stop?" One of my crew members ask.

"Give me the map so we can see if this is a new island." I command.

"Yes ma'am!"

It feels so good to be respected.

He fetches me the map and hands it to me.

"Thank you." I open the map and located where we were by looking at the stars and we were near........

I dont want to go there but my crew has been on sea for too long and i know its not good for there health i am legitimately the best captain theyve ever had whod see to it that they were kept well unlike those other ones who let there crewmen die.

Seans pov:

(Ooh this is new here)
Its been a year since i seen (y/n) and moved here.
And a depressing year it has been signe doesnt really love me anymore she  even told me she just married me because of the amount of money my parents had. But theres is nothing i can do about it. Because she will refuse a divorce.

I seen a boat steering in on my dock i waited to see to that the captain stopped his boat.
The crewmen lowered the anchor we grabbed the ramp and let it down. I couldnt see the captain he had a hood on which is weird. Probably cold.
The crewmen came off like a flood.

The captain stood there alone at the edge of the ramp.
The waist coat was flowing in the wind his face still mysterious.

"Excuse me sir are you just gonna stand there or are you gonna get off?" I asked.

"Sir? Well aint that just stereotypical you assume just because im in pants im a man i honestly expecting more from you sean."  A familiar female voice called out.

I looked at the captain confused it was a female?!!

He- my bad, she came down the ramp and stopped in front of me then removed her hood to reveal.

(Y/n)?

"(Y/n)?"

"Hello Sean i just wanted to tell you be careful with Cheshire Hes a beautiful vessel and id hate for anything to happen to him." She says smiling.

"This is yours?" I asked in shock.

"Yes, surprising aint it a woman owning a ship the best part the ship mates adore me. Now if youll excuse me i promised them drinks on me." She says walking away.

I watched her walked away.

"You know captain (l/n)?" One of the men asked.

"Yea why?"

"Everyone knows her she is the most amazing woman in the earth everyone practically adores her last time i heard she met the emperor of China."

"Really?!"

"Yea shes the only and first woman to storm the world by ship youd be lucky to get on her ship."

It shocked me to know that the person i left behind i loved so dearly has moved on to bigger things than i and she was a girl. A captain a world renowned captain and a year ago i told her to drop all of her silly dreams and thoughts and to act like a proper lady.
And she went off to be one of the biggest captain known to man.

It kind of hurt to see him again his words echoed in my head as i left.

'Start acting like a lady and get married!'

A tear fell down my face.
I quickly wiped it from my face if my crew mates saw they would beat some major ass!

Oh yea they are very protective of me.

But apparently tonight they were having some sort of celebration here in Ireland. Where everyone would come and i seen sean and signe there. It hurt even more to see them together i had flashbacks of seeing them leave together. I told my mates i was going to go rest in an inn and that we would take off first thing in the morning. They all begged me to stay and enjoy the festivities but i told them i was really tired and they finally let me go.

I went to an inn, laid on a cot and cried my eyes out once more. But the next morning we headed out.

Sean lowered my ramp for us. I put my hood on so no one could see my red puffy eyes.
I was the last one on as always.
Sean stopped me. His touch sent a shock up my arm one that brought back painful memories.

"Hey wait, (y/n) im sorry." He said with his face  like an angel.

"Sean, i loved you you were the only person i had and you just left me on top of that you told me that i was delusional and that i should stop with my nonsense about wonderland when it was real ive been there without you im not stupid or a freak its real and you know it is but you abandoned it all and let your parents get in your head and let me go. Now that you see ive made something of myself you want to come crawling? I dont want that thank yo very much! So let me go and go run to you precious signe."

" let me explain please."

"Let me go!" I screamed on purpose for my crew to hear.

"Hey! Let our captain go or else we will have to deal with you!!" One of the yelled.

"Might want to do what they say my crew of 100 men dont play when it comes to the captains well being."

He reluctantly let me go. "Im sorry for what i did. Im sorry i made you cry im sorry i left im sorry for it all."

"Im sorry too im sorry i ever fell down that hole with you." I went onto my ship and my mates lifted the anchor and we left.
I looked back at sean who had tears in his eyes.

I couldnt help but cry as well.

22 yrs old.......

I finally home. I go to see my mom.

And when i arrive at the house sean is there with her drinking tea.

"Mother what is her doing here?" I asked.

"He just came by to check on me hes been doing this ever since hes got back." She answers.

"What do you want?" I asked him.

"I wanted to make up for my mistakes."

"Thats not it you want silver and gold how much name it i want you out of my home"

"(Y/n) hes been an excellent help to me. You know how ive been feeling sick hes been helping me with my illness." She said smiling.

"I dont want any silver or gold i dont care for it anymore."

"Well i hope you enjoy your stay i am going now." I storm out of the house.

And he storms in after me i run towards the field.

"Wait!" He yelled.

I contiued to run until i went through the woods into a familiar path. And stopped.

"I loved you i basically gave you my all! You were my first love and my only love and you betrayed my trust!!!!!" I yell

"I know i was a shit head for letting my parents control me but things were getting harder on me and i coldnt handle it i gave in!!"

"Well you obviously didnt!-ah!!"
I begin to fell down a hole
Where we ended up back in wonderland.
Where i still had on a wedding ring.
Where we ended up i our house we shared in wonderland.

And where we reconnected.
After that visit sean and i got married on the surface world and discovered the world together

I reached for you but you were gone
I knew I had to go back home
You search the world for something else to make you feel like what we had
And in the end in wonderland we both went mad.
