Salista's POV

       I woke up the next morning feeling wrong, not right. I have a serious headache and I'm nauseous. This feeling isn't new to me. I sigh and get out of bed and stumble towards the bathroom to the mirror cabinet above the sink and get my aspirin. I take the aspirin and take a shower.

        After I got done with the shower I got out and got dressed. I saw that the mirror was fogged up. I walked over to the mirror and wiped the fog off with the towel. I went into the cabinet again and got something out. I closed the cabinet and looked into the mirror again. What I saw made me scream like bloody murder. I saw a figure behind me! It looked like a male, from its built body. He was clad in black. A hood over his face, obscuring his face. And his eyes... Oh his eyes! They were a bright blood red color, almost glowing, kind of.

         Then I turn around and he is right in front of me. I tried to scream again, but he puts his hand up against my mouth, cutting off my scream. All that came out of my throat was muffled screams of panic. He back me up until my back hits the wall next to the sink. He pushes his leg in between my legs, and puts his head on top of mine. My heart is racing a mile a minute. I don't know what to do. The adrenaline is now pumping through me. It feels like my heart is going to come out of my chest.
I feel very dizzy.

'When is this going to end?' I thought to myself.

I closed my eyes tight and waited for something to happen.

Nothing ever did.

   I opened my eyes slowly and nobody was in the room with me.
When my eyes traveled to the window, I froze in terror. It was wide open. I went to the window slowly, afraid of what might jump out. As I came up to the window, I looked outside.
I wanted to make sure nobody was pranking me. I saw a note on the window, took it down and read it. It read:

" Dearest Salista,
My love, I will be coming back for you soon.
Be ready for me.
I will be watching you.
A.S."

    After I read that, I walked out of the bathroom in a breathless daze.

I tried to find Shannon, and I found her in the kitchen.

"S-Shannon." I stuttered out. She looked my way about to say something, but then paled looking at my expression. She stopped what she was doing and came over to me. "What's wrong, love?" She asked. I handed her the note. She read the note and gasped. She looked at me frightened. "We need to get out of here, Salista. We need to go  somewhere safe." She said.
"But we can't. What about the café?" I said.
"Mr and Mrs. Anderson can't run it by them selves. I need to stay to help them."
Shannon looked like she was having a battle within herself because she looked worried for a moment. Then she looked defeated and heaved out a long sigh and brushed a hand through her long, thick unruly hair.
"Alright, Salista." Shannon started, " we'll stay. But if something happens, we're leaving. Ok?"
"Yes, mom." I said joking with her. She scoffed and shoved me towards my room.
         I went to my room and changed into my uniform. It consists of the olive green café shirt, black leggings, teal and white nike sneakers, a black jacket, and my mini black backpack that has everything I needed. I walked out of my room to the living room and saw Shannon watching tv. I rolled my eyes at her laziness.
        I went to the door, making sure I didn't get in the way of Shannon and her tv. As I opened the door I said, "I won't be home probably until late to night if anything doesn't happen."
"Ok. Please be safe." I heard Shannon reply. "I will. Don't do anything stupid!" She started laughing up a storm and I joined her. "Ok. See you later." Shannon said in her giggling fit. I nodded and went out the door to the café.
        The café was about 5 blocks away so it shouldn't be too long.
       I was about 2 blocks away, and I started to get a feeling of someone watching me. I stopped and turned to see if anybody was there and no one was there. I turned around slowly and made my way to the café again.
I was finally at the café.
I sighed in relief as I walked up to the door.
         I opened the door and heard the familiar jingle of the bell. I walked in and some customers that knew me.
"Hello Salista. Good morning."
"Good morning to you too, Mrs. Anderson."
"I'm just gonna start with my usual work and wondered if I should get your usual?" I asked her.
"Yes please, that would be nice." She said.
I nodded ad went to get her usual. It consisted of a toasted bagel with cream cheese and a a half and half coffee. I got what see asked and brought it to her. "Thank you deary."
    I smiled in response and went to take care of the other people as I heard the bell ring.

     It was about 3:00 in the late after noon. I was cleaning the dirty dishes from the table of the previous customers.
Then I heard the bell ring.
I looked up and saw the most stunning pair of eyes.
The color of sapphire blue.
Then I saw a pair of plump pink lips and black hair styled to the fringe to the side, covering one eye.
I'm definition, he was breath taking gorgeous. Other girls saw him and started to swoon at the sight of him.
      I cleared my throat and went to welcome him.
"Hello sir, welcome to Rosie's café. How may I help you?" I said trying to be as calm as possible. He gave me a friendly smile, showing his teeth, which were a sparkling white.
"Hello miss.... Salista. Yes, I would a table and a coffee please." He said.
"Of course, sir. Follow me."
I said as I took him to a cleared table.
        I set him up at the table and told him I would be a moment to get him fresh coffee. As I made the coffee, I got the sugar packets and creamer and put it on a tray. I got the freshly brewed coffee and set it on the tray.
I walked over to his table and put the stuff on his table.
"There you go, sir. Fresh coffee straight off the pot. Enjoy."
I heard the bell ring.
"Thank you, miss Salista."
I nodded my head and went to go see to the people that came in. After I finished with the other people, I went back the man.
"Did you enjoy everything sir?"
          He looked up and his mesmerizing blue eyes staring into my soul.
He smiled and nodded.
"Yes. Yes I found everything excellent. Not to bring you any trouble or anything, but can I have the check?"
"Yes of course! Just hold on a second for me to get it?"
"Yea. Of course! Take your time to get it."
       I smiled and went to get his check. I got it, went back to him and gave him his check.
         He looked it over and took the amount for the coffee, then an extra $20?
"Here's the money for the coffee, and here's extra for you."
"Oh no! I can't accept that-"
"Don't worry about it. He said interrupting me.
He said softly and with a smile, "take it."
"But I-" I started before he stood and grabbed my hand.            He took the money and placed it in my hand.
"No. No arguments. Take the money. I want you to." He said.
"A-alright." He smiled in triumph.
"I'll be back tomorrow." He said as he closed my hand around the money.
        He walked towards the door, and opened it, the bell jingling. Before he walked out, he turned to me and said, "By the way, the name's Austin." He said before he left into the afternoon sun.
