Author's POV

“Cmon hurry up!” Tae told the others who were packing their things.

It was the day of their beach visit and so they were wrapping up the campsite.

“Kookie, do fast ” he instructed but the younger didn't responded. It was like he was zoning out again. “Kookie, you there? ” Tae gently shook his shoulder, snapping Jungkook out of his thoughts.

“Uh-um y-yeah, sorry I just zoned out” he apologized.

“It's okay but pack fast ” Tae said.

“I swear to god Tae, if I heard you don't leave from here in instant, I would personally kill you with that knife over there ” Jimin threatened.

“I would like to help because this dumbass is neither helping us in packing things nor is he helping the others load the camper van. He just sitting there and hurrying us ” Sooyeon piped in. Taehyung could hear the others stifling a laugh and Jimin didn't even tried, he just laughed out loud.

“Fiiiine, 'm going ” he huffed.

The ride to the beach wasn't too long but extremely tiring as the road wasn't well built.

Nevertheless, they reached there in about an hour.

Bogum's family owned a beach resort there so they were going to stay there.

This time all of them got their personal rooms for which Sooyeon was very thankful. Taehyung was unpacking in his room when he saw how beautiful the outside view was.

It is beautiful! Thought Taehyung.

Suddenly he felt someone entering the room and saw it was Jungkook looking a bit conflicted about something.

“Everything alright? ” Tae asked motioning Jungkook to sit beside him.

“Hyung I want to talk about something ” he hesitantly said, Tae nodded signalling him to continue. “That night during the first campfire when you said you were hungry and were going to have some midnight snacks and went to the van ” Jungkook started.

“when you didn't came after long, I went to check whether you are alright or not, there...” he stopped, his eyes not meeting Taehyung's.

Taehyung lifted his chin to make him look in his eyes. “Continue kookie, there you what? ” he asked nervously.

“There...I unintentionally, heard..everything you said ” he said, eyes looking at everywhere but at Taehyung.

Taehyung's eyes widened in shock. With all his might he kept his calm.

Silence engulfed them, it wasn't an awkward or comfortable one but the blank one.

“I am sorry hyung ” Jungkook said breaking the silence.

“No kookie it's not your fault that my destiny is so cruel on me ” Tae tightly hugged him. “I am so sorry Tae. I didn't knew that you have to go through so much and I hated you for something that you didn't even wanted to do. I never thought that you were going through the same pain, even more painful than me each and every day from the last two years. But why, why did you not told me all these things? ” Jungkook asked.

“We were just two teenagers deeply in love, what possibly could we've done even if we wanted? ” Tae asked, softly patting the younger's back.

“We could have done something! ” Jungkook said pulling away and sitting on the bed.

“No kookie we—” “Okay I understand that we couldn't have done anything back then but what about now Tae? We are not sixteen or seventeen anymore. We can possibly do something now, can't we? ” Jungkook asked expectantly.

“What do you want us to do then? Run away from our houses at such tender age, risking our everything including our education and future? ” Tae asked sitting beside him.

“Mr Kim, talk for your self, my mother isn't against us. In fact she would be the happiest if we get together. ” Jungkook sassed.

“Some times I feel she loves you even more than her own son ” he said.

Tae chuckled. It's so amazing that even in such situations, the younger's one snarky remark can make him laugh.

“I was just saying that you're not a seventeen year old anymore. You are a legal adult who has the choice to live with anyone you want, be it your homophobic parents or your loving and caring older brother. Why don't you leave your parents and move in with Seokjin hyung? ” Jungkook suggested.

Taehyung shooked his head.

“It's not as simple as you think Jungkook, I can't leave them. No matter how brutally they treat me they would still be my parents kook. ” Tae said in a pleading voice.

“But—” “Let's cut this topic for now, and talk about something else ” Tae suggested.

Jungkook frowned.

“No! ” he said in a stern voice.

“You have to come to a decision and until you don't do that I am not going to talk to you ” he declared and left without sparing another glance at him and ignoring the calls of the older.

Tae cursed under his breath.

What should he do now? He is really in need of some wise advice but from where? both of his friends never had relationship problems like this, well that's cause they never even had a relationship before.

“By his look, it seemed he talked about it and you said something which pissed him off ” a voice came from the door.

He recognise that voice. It's Sooyeon's.

“You know about it? ” Tae asked to which she nodded and sat down beside him.

“Is there a single thing which he doesn't share with you? ” Taehyung huffed in annoyance. “Is there single thing which you don't share with Jimin? ” she retorted.

When Tae didn't replied anything, she smirked in victory.

“Now tell me what happened, may be I can help ” she said.

Taehyung told her everything about his and and Jungkook's conversation. “Look Tae, I understand that you are having a hard time with the thought of leaving your parents because who can leave their parents just like that. But you know what most people don't know is the meaning of parents. ” she said with made Taehyung stare at her in confusion.

“A parent isnt someone who will only give birth to you. Instead it's someone who is willing to sacrifice his happiness for you, who is happy just by seeing you happy and even if they aren't that selfless, they would at least try to do the minimum for your happiness. ” she stated.

“If a parent can't accept their child the way they are with respect to their choices in career, love, job etcetera then they don't have the right to call themselves a parent. If your parents can't accept you with all your flaws and imperfections and only want you to have good qualities then they aren't expecting you to be a human but a robot. They themselves aren't perfect are they? ” she added. “At the end the choice is yours Tae but that doesn't mean I won't try my best to make you choose the right path. So let me summarize this. You have two choices, first your parents whom you despise unknowingly, and who will despise you whenever you will show them a flaw ” she paused.

“Or, Jungkook, the love of your life who reciprocate your feelings and is willing to face the whole world if you're on his side. ” she added.

“The choice is yours Kim Taehyung ” she reminded him.

“Please choose the right one ” she said.

Taehyung thought on it for a long time with Sooyeon still there. He surely didn't fancied the idea of leaving his parents especially when they are growing old and need him but the thought of Jungkook leaving and not coming back again made him terrified. For once in his life he chose a selfish path. He chose his happiness, he chose Jungkook, his Jungkook.

“Thank you so much Sooyeon ” he said.

“Its okay—” her sentence was cut off by a warm hug from the other.

“I really needed this right now. I will always owe you one ” he said

“Ahem ahem ” they both heard a coughing, to be exact, a fake coughing sound.

They pulled away from the hug and saw Hoseok in front of them, not looking pleased. “I better not be disturbing anything, right? ” he said eyes scanning their position up and down.

Before Tae could spoke, Soo said “Trust me Hoba, you are not ” with a smile which melted the ice in Hoseok's eyes. He also flashed a smile to them and kissed Sooyeon's forehead. “Whipped”  Tae mumbled under his breath. “Like you aren't for Jungkook too? ” Sooyeon said.

Taehyung smacked her by a pillow.

“OW! What was that for? ” she winced

“For being so nosy ” Tae replied and stuck his tongue out.

Sooyeon also took a pillow and smacked Tae many times and ran away.

“YAH! I AM GONNA COMPLAIN TO MRS LEE! ” he shouted.

The next chapter is gonna about two idiots finally being together and then we would have some angst, then everything being resolved and then a epilogue and this story would end. I can't believe that it came this far *wipes a tear*
