"So how did it went?"

I was sitting in an empty hallway in a corner, reading a book when Juan appeared out of no where. He caught me off guard making my drop my book. I left the book on the floor and got up.

"Everything went swell after you ran off like a freaking coward."

"Did I mention that I was sorry?" He smirked.

"No you haven't. Though it will do no good anyways since SORRY won't replace the boot I threw away."

"Wait what? You threw your shoe away?"

"Eh they were old anyways besides I didn't want to walk around with my best friend's teeth marks to remind me of something YOU did and didn't do." I shoved a finger on his chest.

"Damn Dani I'm really sorry. Truly I am. I didn't mean it to go that far. Though you have to admit it was hilarious." He winked.

I just rolled my eyes.

Today my teacher, Mrs. Foy wasn't in class until the second period of lunch. So she made my fifth period class have the first period of lunch. B lunch was my lunch time where I had all my buddies. I was upset when there was a note on the door saying all fifth period students to go to A lunch instead of B. I had nobody in A lunch but Merlyn. Even so she was my friend and all, she had other 'friends' making me feel like an outcast. So instead of feeling like a loser I decided to skip lunch and just read a book in the hallway. Never would have I thought Juan to be the one giving me a little company.

"Oh come on I know you liked it. Come on smile for me."

"Not going to happen." I crossed my arms over my chest.

"I know you want to..." He grinned.

Lord! It was impossible to stay mad at him especially when he was smiling at me like that. I gave in and smiled.

"Beautiful just beautiful." He gave a triumphant smile and picked up my book for me. "Now get to class like a good girl and I'll see you next period." He game me one last wink and walked off to his classroom.

Sixth period finally arrived and for some reason I was excited. Though that all faded away when Mr. McClure told us to roll up cables and would be grading for our rolling skills.

"Fudge all this shizz." I mumbled as I struggled.

I attempted the first time and got told by the teacher to do it again. Everyone else was doing okay except for me. Heck even Rose seemed to have it down. Everyone was lined up showing their cables to the teacher while I was practically the only one who couldn't do it right. One will think rolling cables is easy but its not. There is a certain way to do it and I was definitely having trouble with.

"You need help?" Juan whispered next to me.

"Yes please!" I whispered yelled to him with so much plead.

"Okay I'll help but you owe me something."

"Whatever just do it for me." I handed him the cable.

In less than a minute he did it was no complication whatsoever. He handed it to me and placed a hand on my back, pushing me towards the line. I got in the line and waited until it was my turn.

"Finally you got it right Danielle." Mr. McClure did a check mark on my name on his clipboard.

I stored the cable with the rest and went back to Juan who was leaning against the wall.

"Gosh thank you so much. I would have failed if it weren't for you. I mean I would have asked Rose but she was too busy helping Kalvin out."

"Don't mention it. Though you owe me a date night."

"Excuse me???"

"I'm kidding, I'm kidding," he laughed. "I mean I would ask you out on a date but I don't have enough money for anything fancy."

"McDonald's would have done just fine." I played along with a smirk and a roll of my eyes.

"Oh good then you definitely owe me that date night." His smirk was back on.

"Boyyy... I owe you nothing. Except for that grade you got me but if I would have known you were going to do that I would have gladly rejected your offer." I frowned.

"Chill Dani I was just joking. Damn you're so fiesty and sensible." He laughed.

"Oh. Then we're good then?"

"Yes."

"Good." I gave my back to him.

I was somewhat irked at him for joking like that. It's not my fault I can't tell when someone is joking or not.

The bell rang and everyone went to get their belongings.

"Dude I feel ya. I feel ya. I hate it when you look Asian and the first thing people think is that if you're from China. I'm like I'm Japanese people big dif!" Rose was rambling on something to Kalvin as I got my stuff.

"Yeah I'm Cambodian." Kalvin was next to her.

"What's sup Asians?" Juan was right behind me, talking to Rose and Kalvin.

Rose narrowed her eyes to slit at Juan and started to walk with Kalvin. I was following behind them with Juan next to me.

"I think they like each other." Juan whispered only for me to hear.

"What the fudge man? They are just friends." I whispered back.

"Sure that is what they want you to think." He glanced at them as they kept walking.

"Dude seriously?" I gave him my deadpan look. "All of your assumptions are just plain wrong."

"Hey I'm only stating my opinion." He smirked and matched his pace with mine.

"And that is how rumors start." I rolled my eyes.

"Geez sweetheart what is you and rolling your eyes at me? I don't want you to get your pretty eyes stuck in the back of your head." He bumped his shoulder with mine making me loose balance. I would have tripped and landed on my face if it weren't for him saving me in time. He grabbed me from my backpack and steady me on my feet.

"Damn Dani you over here tripping." He laughed.

By now Rose vanished to her class with Kalvin, making me walk with Juan instead. Just when I arrived to my hallway, Juan stopped me by pulling back on my backpack making me almost fall backwards this time.

"Dude what's your problem with me?" I gasped.

"Nothing. I just like playing around with you. See you tomorrow Dani."

Before I could do anything else, next thing I know it, Juan slapped my butt and I could hear him laughing as he disappeared to his class.

And I just stood there like an idiot processing what the hell just happened.

What the hell did he just fucking do???
