Backstory: (Universe where animals replace humans) Raven knew she was different from the moment she entered grade school. At first she couldn't put her finger on it. Then when middle school rolled around, she soon realized her sexuality. Her parents never really minded this, and accepted their daughter. She lived in the a decent sized apartment in San Francisco, and overall enjoyed her life. But that all soon fell apart after her mother fell ill and later died due to lung cancer. Raven was devastated, and to only make matters worse, discovered her father's lifeless body in his bathroom a week after her mother's passing. Raven didn't have any sane relatives who were qualified as her caretaker, thus bringing her to an orphanage. She went through a few foster homes, but due to her sexuality and their beliefs, she never lasted long. Her last home she stayed in went for a more physical approach and expressed their disagreement through abuse. She tolerated this for nearly a month, until she escaped and found her way onto the streets. A shelter found her and took her in, and treated her wounds. She still resides there today, waiting for someone to be interested enough to bring her home with them.
