"(y/l/n)!" the photographer called. "come here! i've someone you've got to meet." she walked over to dan, his hand beckoning for her to go to him. her eyes fell on a young boy, about her age, standing next to him. he gave her a small smile, which she returned graciously.

"(y/n)," dan smiled, slapping a hand on the boy's shoulder. "this is harry. he will be an assistant like you. and may be taking photos, like you"

"oh, hi harry," she shook his hand. it was soft and warm. "and thank you, dan, for this. i can't wait to work with you"

"i'm excited too. it's my first time on a big scale shoot like this"

"really? this is my third time" by now, dan had left the two to converse.

"wow, you must be really lucky"

"yeh, well, all three shoots have been with dan. he wanted to keep me on for almost all his projects. i've never taken photos though, so that'll be a new thing"

"that sounds amazing. i haven't had a job like this, but i've done my own bit of photography and directing some small projects"

"really? maybe i could see them sometime?"

harry smiled. someone finally wanted to see his work, instead of turning down the offer because he was a kid. "th-that could work. that'll be great"

(y/n) smiled back at him and continued talking to him. she learnt about his family; his brothers and his parents. she learnt about his eldest brother being a famous movie star; his twin being nothing like him {"we're nothing alike! seriously! i'm the hotter one"}; his youngest brother being bloody adorable; his father being a comedian; and his mother being a photographer, whom, of which, he wanted to follow her footsteps.

(y/n) got excited at the thought of meeting them, she hadn't even seen a picture yet. she talked about her family too; her parents and sibling. she didn't seem half as excited to go home than she did to meet the holland family. she wanted to hear more. how tom was doing, what paddy enjoyed, and who his twin was. she wanted to be the judge of the 'holland twin hotness'.

"(y/l/n)! holland! come here, i've got your first job!" dan called. the pair looked at each other excitedly and ran towards dan. eager for their first task, they almost sat like schoolchildren on the first day of school.

"grab your cameras and find some interesting backgrounds for the models tomorrow. you both know the main colour theme, so find something contrasting to that, got it?"

their heads nodded back and forth like a nodding dog on a car dashboard. they ran to their bags, pulled out their identical cameras and sprinted out the door.

harry knew london like the back of his hand, (y/n) not so much. she followed harry who took her down back alleyways and into parks and fields. they found the perfect colours and backgrounds for the shoot, and as soon as they captured the last scene, it was 8pm.

"we should probably head back now" harry glanced down at his watch.

"what time is it?"

"eight. i'm pretty sure we were meant to be back for seven"

"oh well," she turned and walked out of the forest, harry following by her side "dan'll be grateful for all the shots. did you mark them down on the map he gave you?"

"i thought he gave you the map?"

"nope"

"shit. we're fucked" harry sighed and (y/n) giggled at his defeat.

"we'll be fine"

"i hope so"

they walked into dans studio at just gone 8:30. he smiled at the pair, half glad they were back he also mad that they forgot the map.

"you might want this," he pulled out a blue piece of paper, folded into an origami swan and placed it gently in (y/n)'s palm. "i had some spare time, don't ask. did you get some good spots?"

"yep" harry beamed.

"good, i'll take a look at them tomorrow. you should get to the hotel and freshen up, i wouldn't want to sleep with dirt on my face," he pointed at harry's cheek and started to walk away.

"oh, and before i forget," he turned back around and pulled out a shiny silver key, giving it to harry. "you'll be sharing a room. enjoy!" harry and (y/n) looked wide eyes at each other. her heart beat increased as she thought of sharing a bed with a boy she'd just met.

"and there's two beds!" dan called from the distance as the main light went out. a circle of light enveloped them in the dark room.

"i guess we're roomies"

"i guess we are"
