EPILOGUE
epilogue
Sage's death impacted more people than she ever could have imagined. But when she arrived in heaven, she was finally as peace.
It was different than she imagined, she was greeted by a woman, who looked a little older than her, she had blonde curly hair. Sage almost instantly recognized her, it was her mother. The age when she died. "Mom?" She asked, she couldn't feel any pain.
Marlene nodded, wrapping her arms around the girl, she looked around as she pulled away. Everyone was there. Remus, Sirius, James, Lily, Fred, Cedric, Tonks, all of them. All the friends she had lost, the people she grew up hearing stories about. Sage was finally at peace, but the people she left behind? Were not.

Draco fell in love again. But everyone knew the guilt he felt everytime he looked at Astoria. He heard Sage's laugh in hers. Saw Sage's beauty in hers. He saw Sage everyday.
Him and Astoria had a son together, Scorpius. Draco was left a widow when he son was 13 and it brought back every memory of Sage. Every memory of the girl he expected to marry since he was 14. The girl he had hopelessly fell in love with and it shocked everyone. A gryffindor half-blood with a slytherin pureblood. Who would have known how pure their love for each other would have been.
Sage left letters, for everyone she left behind. They were hidden, in a box in the Gryffindor common room. She wrote them as a safety during the war, in case something did happen to her. Draco held onto his and Teddy's, and once Teddy was old enough he was given his and told the entire story of how his older sister saved the wizarding world.

Flashback to May 3rd, 1998
Sage was dead, and Draco still couldn't wrap his head around it and accept it. He was staring at Hogwarts, destroyed from the war that swept so many lives. Suddenly, Harry was approaching him, a letter in hand.
"Malfoy," he said, Draco glanced at him. "We found this in the Gryffindor Common Room, it's from Sage."
Draco met his eyes for a moment, before glancing at the letter in his hand. Draco took the letter addressed to him, from Harry. "Thank you," he said, Harry nodded stiffly before he walked away. Draco stared at the letter, before slowly opening it.
He read;
Dear Love,
If you're reading this, I'm dead. I'm sorry. The truth is that I know. There is no good and evil. Only war. Hogwarts had the manipulative arse. While the death eaters have the guy who was broke when he was a child.
You deserved a second chance at life. Thank you for everything. But even I know you didn't have a choice. I'm giving you that choice. Tell Teddy I love him. Tell him about me, make sure he knows what i did for him. It's not your fault I'm gone. I'm dead because I decided to mess with two sides of a war.
Forever and Always my love,
Sage Marlene Lupin.
Draco had tears drop from his eyes. Knowing the sacrifice Sage had done for him. For Hogwarts and the Wizarding World. She would be remembered at the Girl Who Knew.
