the end
Sage had been walking around Hogwarts, for what seemed like forever. But she couldn't find Seamus and Dean. She just prayed they were okay. She traveled the the Great Hall. People were crying, over their loved one.
But something caught her eye. Tonks and... Remus. She walked close to get a better look, and that only made it worse. They were dead.
She started to break down, right there. Beside her was the Weasley family, grieving a death as well. Fred.
Ron had picked up on Sage being there, and despite the fact he was crying as well, he went over to her and hugged her. Out of all the people who could have been there, it was Ron. Someone who had been like a brother to her for years.
Sage's only family left was Teddy, Teddy would grow up with no parents. So, Sage stood there crying with Ron. "How... what happened?" Sage asked.
Ron sighed. "For you're dad and Tonks, they died through combat. Fred's..." he paused, like he couldn't even say Fred's name without choking up. "Explosion." He pushed the words out.
Sage nodded slowly. "I'm sorry," she said quietly. He looked at her, confused. "For everything."
He shook his head. "I don't blame you, yeah Harry might, but I don't," he told her.
"And for Fred," she added, glancing over at Fred, who was laying on the ground. It looked as if he was sleeping. He looked peaceful.
"And I'm sorry about you're dad," he said quietly. After a few moments of silence, Ron forced a smile to the girl before going back to his family.
She turned to see Harry, looking down at Remus and Tonks. "Harry-" she started to say.
"Don't," he said.
"You're allowed to be upset at me for what happened with Dumbledore," she said quietly. "But Harry, I didn't- I was just doing what he told me to do! He told Snape and I to kill him."
"It should have been you!" Harry snapped, keeping his voice low enough to where nobody else could hear him. "I trusted you."
It stung, but she knew he was right. She knew he had every right to be mad. There was nothing she could do about it.

Sage stayed back in the Great Hall for some time, grieving. Remus may not have been her biological father, but he was the best dad she could have ever asked for. Tonks was gone too, Teddy was an orphan. Technically Sage was too, but she grew up with Remus. Teddy would never get that.
Sage made her way outside, where death eaters and Hogwarts students and professors were gathering. Something was going on. She spotted Dean and Seamus across the courtyard, but before she could even start walking to them, she was distracted by Voldemort's words.
"Harry Potter," Voldemort started, "Is dead!"
Ginny screamed, a painful scream. "No! No!" she screamed.
"Silence!" Voldemort snapped. Sage put a hand over her mouth, shocked. Did they just lose the war? Everyone was silent after that, in shock of the news. "Stupid girl." He approached Hogwarts side. "Harry Potter is dead, from this day forward, you put your faith into me."
Once he didn't get a reaction from anyone after that, he turned to his own death eaters. "Harry Potter is dead!" He screamed, making several death eaters laugh, including Voldemort himself. "And now is the time to declare yourselves. Come forward and join us, or die."
"Draco," Lucius hissed, Sage glanced over, spotting him hidden in the crowd. "Draco..."
"Draco," Narcissa said. Which made Draco start walking over to them. He glanced at Sage, who just shook her head in his direction. But that didn't stop him. He joined the death eaters side.
"Well done Draco," Voldemort said, hugging him. Draco seemed uncomfortable, but Sage didn't know what to believe anymore. Neville started to take a few steps forward toward Voldemort, limping. "Well, I must say, I hoped for better." The death eaters laughed at the compliment. "And who may you be young man?"
"Neville Longbottom," he said, they laughed again.
Voldemort grinned. "Well Neville, I'm sure we can find a place for you in our rank."
"I'd like to say something," Neville said.
Voldemort groaned, "Well, Neville, I'm sure we'll all be fascinated to hear what you have to say."
Neville took a deep breath. Sage watched him carefully. "It doesn't matter that Harry's gone."
"Stand down Neville," Seamus told him.
Neville turned to him. "People die everyday! Friends, family. Yeah, we lost Harry tonight. But he's still with us, in here," he said, gesturing to his heart. "So is Fred and Remus, Tonks. All of them. They didn't die in vain! But you will! Because you're wrong! Harry heart did beat for us, for all of us! And it's not over!"
Suddenly, Neville ripped the sword out of the hat he had in his hand, Sage hadn't even realized the hat until now. Harry rolled out of Hagrid's arms, he was alive. He casted a spell at the death eaters before running off. Sage looked around, moving around the now crowded and dueling group of people. She was looking to Dean and Seamus again, she wanted to help them incase any of the death eaters got to them.
But that was her mistake. As she entered Hogwarts, she froze in place. Voldemort's snake in front of her. She breathed deeply, slowly stepping away. It didn't do anything. The snake lunged forward, attacking Sage. It was all in a flash. She felt sharp pains all around her body, her eyes slammed shut out of fear, but suddenly it stopped.
She slowly opened her eyes, putting a hand up to her neck, she felt blood. She saw Neville, he had killed the snake. "Sage!" he shouted, kneeling next to her. It wasn't just her neck, it was her stomach, her chest, her arms, all bleeding. "Hey, hey you're okay."
She looked up at her, Ron and Hermione appeared behind him. Ron mumbled something to Hermione and she ran off. "Sage..."
She couldn't even speak, she was in shock and scared. She just shook her head, glancing at the blood on her hand. She looked to her left, she could see Harry and Voldemort dueling. Hermione returned with Sage, who's facial expression dropped immediately. He nearly collapsed next to her, taking her hand gently. "Sage-" he started to say, but he choked up.
She looked up at him, forcing some words out of her. "I'm not afraid," she said quietly, although that was a lie.
He shook his head. "You're a Gryffindor, of course you aren't," he mumbled, Sage smiled slightly. "I am..."
She glanced at Neville, Ron, and Hermione, who were just watching. "Why...?" She asked.
"I don't wanna live without you," he said. Everyone knew she wasn't going to make it, at this point she was in pain and just wanted it to be over.
Draco was crying, she could see a few gleaming tears in Hermione's eyes. Her eyes shifted back to Draco.
"I'm sorry," She told him, with pain in her voice, "My Love," she finished, taking her last shallow breath.
"Happy Birthday Sage," Draco mumbled as tears streamed down his face. His girlfriend was dead, forever gone. He reached his hand to her face, slowly shutting her eyes, before he let out a loud sob.
He felt like his entire world has came crashing down, when Hermione ran over to him, stopping him from leaving Hogwarts, telling him they needed him, he was filled with confusion. He couldn't leave Sage, she sat there, for so long, soon the others started to leave. Neville wanted to tell Seamus and Dean, while Hermione and Ron had to go to Harry.
But Draco, he stayed. Because he loved her more than anything. She was his rock.
