snatchers
Sage sprawled out on the cot; she couldn't sleep. It had been about 5 days since she joined Harry and Hermione, and Ron was right. No progress. Harry was on her about Dumbledore as well.
The tension didn't help them at all, Ron and Hermione didn't seem to be affected by it, but maybe they were just better at hiding it than Harry was.
Sage sat up, everyone else was sound asleep, she slowly got up and walked outside. Pitch black, she took her wand out. "Lumos" she mumbled, and a small light came from her wand.
The dark sky was full of stars and the cool weather was just starting to drop in. She was walking around the area for a while but stopped as a twig snapped. "Shit, Nox" she said quietly as the light from her wand disappeared.
She held her breath, but soon small lights appeared around her, and faces gave into view. Something was said and everything went black.
Sage woke up in a dungeon, she turned over on her side and rubbed her pounding head, she looked around. The dungeon was dark, only a small light was able to seep its way through. Her surroundings were unfamiliar.
A dark figure approached her and once she got a good look, the figure was Luna. "Luna?" Sage questioned quietly, as she slowly stood up.
"Hello Sage," Luna said softly.
"What? Where are we?" She asked, beginning to look around. She could see Ollivander sleeping in the distance.
"Seems it's the Malfoy Manor," she said, tilting her head slightly. "I've been here for a few days, Ollivander longer."
All that managed to escape her mouth was, "Draco..."
Luna looked at her. "I saw him when they brought you down," she explained.
"What did he say?"
"Nothing," she said quietly. "He just, watched, I do think he wanted to help you though."
"Why am I here?"
Luna shrugged. "I'm not entirely sure, if I'm being honest," she explained. "I think they're using us to find Harry, Ron, and Hermione."
Before Sage could respond, the door to the dungeon opened and a familiar voice could be heard, Draco's voice. She looked at Luna who was just staring in the distance.
Sage slowly approached Draco and he froze when she came into sight. "Sage..." He said quietly. "Are you okay?"
"Am I okay? What kind of question is that?" She asked. "Why am I here?"
Draco slowly shook his head. "They think you know where Harry is, do you?"
She stared at him. "Of course, I do."
"Great than you can tell them and be free!" Draco said, grabbing her hand.
But Sage pulled her hand away. "No way Draco," she said quickly. "I can't betray them like that."
"You're a death eater Sage, it's that or torture," he explained.
She shook her head. "I am a death eater for you, that's the only reason," she said. That wasn't true, it was for Dumbledore and Draco, but now he was gone. "I killed Dumbledore for you, remember that? Or did you forget, just like you did about everything else. Harry hates me now; did you know that?" "
"I never asked you to kill him, Sage. You did that on your own, so don't go blaming me for your mistakes," he told her. "And what do you mean?"
"My mistakes?" She questioned. "God Draco, everything I did was for you, because I love you. I haven't received a single letter from you all summer, I didn't know if you were okay."
"My parents wouldn't let me write to you, it was to dangerous to blow our cover," he explained. "I assumed you would be safe, I didn't think the snatchers would find you."
"They did," she said quietly.
"All you have to do, Sage, is tell them where Potter is," Draco begged. "Please Sage."
She shook her head. "I'm sorry Draco, but I just can't," she said. "He's my friend and this is a war, a war we need him for and you know that."
"Sage, they're gonna torture you!" He hissed. "I can't let that happen."
"So be it," she snapped. "I'm not telling them anything."
He turned to look at the entrance to the dungeon. "Sage, are you listening to me?"
She nodded. "Unfortunately yes, but I'm not budging, Draco. This is how it's gonna have to be."
Draco sighed as someone else came down to the dungeon. "I'm so sorry," he said quickly, that other person appeared into view.
She didn't believe what she saw
"No fucking way," Sage mumbled. "Elizabeth?"
She grinned. "Long time, no see," she mumbled, staring at her.
"Y-you're dead! No this is a joke right?" She asked, looking at Draco. "Draco tell me this is a joke!"
Elizabeth looked at Draco, once she realized he wasn't gonna say anything she spoke up. "It's not," she said simply, shrugging.
"I went to your funeral!"
She shrugged. "I went to my own funeral too," she explained. "It's funny, everyone was upset and Seamus-"
"Don't you dare bring him into this," she warned, stepping towards Elizabeth. "He doesn't deserve this and you know it."
"Couldn't agree more," she said. "Poor kid, closeted and all."
"Why did you do it?" She asked.
"I think the real question is, how did I do it," she said.
"Go on."
Elizabeth smiled, as if she was excited to finally get to tell the story. "Tragedy a 17-year-old girl found dead, at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy. Stained it's reputation of being a safe school, was even worse when Dumbledore was out of the picture, thanks to you. Anyways it was quite easy, a bit of dark magic it's easy to fake your death."
"You're a monster."
She laughed, much to Sage's confusion. "I'm the monster? You're no different than me, a death eater. A killer,"
Sage clenched her jaw. "Oh fuck you!" She yelled.
"You're the one who fell for every single one of my tricks," she said. "I tried so hard to pull you away from everyone you ever loved, hoping in the end, I would be your only choice."
"Why would you do this?"
"I need you, to use you to help the Dark Lord," she explained. "I was the reason Dean and Seamus caught you sneaking around with Draco here, I sent them there. Almost every time something went wrong, it lead back to me."
Sage slowly shook her head. "I can't believe you, we were friends, what about you and Seamus?"
She shrugged. "He's a nice boy, but he was all part of my plan. Used my own identity to get him on my side,"
"You're plan failed, they're still my friends."
She laughed again. "Friends? Harry hates you, won't be long before your secret gets to Seamus, Dean and everyone you know," she teased. "Now give me the location of Harry Potter."
She shook her head. "No way."
"Then you're coming with me." Elizabeth grabbed ahold of Sage, pulling her towards the exit to the dungeon. Sage knew what was coming and nothing was going to stop it.
