TW: mentions of suicide

Sage tapped her foot on the ground impatiently, she listened to Harry talk about the situation with Katie Bell, who had gotten cursed, a girl in the year above her that she played quidditch with. Harry had gotten up to talk to Katie Bell. Sage sighed until she saw Draco enter the hallway and once he got a glimpse of Katie and Harry he quickly turned to leave.

Harry eyed Sage, before following Draco. "Harry!" Sage called, but Harry ignored her. She was afraid of Harry hurting Draco. She went to go after him but she saw stopped by someone.

Seamus. "Seamus let me go please," She begged, "Harry- Harry! What if Harry hurts him for the truth," Sage's voice was breaking at the mention of Harry hurting Draco.

Seamus sighs and Dean stands up "Sage if we can trust Draco... he wouldn't have hurt Katie in the first place!" Seamus snapped.

She was being restrained by her best friends "That's just how you see it, you- you don't understand! You never have and you never will. You know why?" She snapped, Seamus looked at her, wide-eyed, "Because you act like everything is normal when it's not! People are dying Seamus, and you think that's okay!"

"Sage-" Seamus started.

"No!" Sage interrupted, "Makes sense why I tried to fucking kill myself! Because life is absolute shit, I don't get a break because I wanna help Harry, and I believe that there is a war,"

Sage shoved him off of her "Stop it!" Dean said, "Everyone is staring,"

Sage shook her head and went in the direction Harry went. She liked to believe she didn't mean it... but it was true.

"Miss Lupin!" Snape said, appearing in front of her. "Why're you running into the halls?"

Sage breathed in deeply, "Draco-" she explained, "Harry, Harry's with Draco... by himself"

Snape nodded "Very well," he said. She didn't expect Harry to have any intention to hurt Draco, but accidents happen. Snape began to walk to the boys' bathroom and Sage followed closely behind. Snape barged into the bathroom to see Harry over a bleeding Draco. Sage covered her mouth.

Snape and Harry stared at each other before he ran off. Snape looked down at Draco, Sage was panicking, but Snape was fine. He lifted his wand "Vulnera Sanentur," he mumbled and the blood started to move back into Draco's body.

Sage took a tight grip on his hand. Draco slowly comes back to consciousness. "Mmm," Draco groaned, his body tensed up as Sage gently stroked his cheek.

"Shh, shh," Sage said softly, soothing him. "It's okay, you're okay."

Snape stood behind the couple, Draco let out another painful groan. "Sage..." he mumbled.

"I'm here... it's okay," she reassured, and he squeezed her hand tightly.

Draco lay there for a moment, as the pain slowly faded away from his body. Sage not move away from his side.

"I'm okay... just very stiff," he said quietly and sat up slowly. Sage helped him by placing a hand on his back. "Why're you here?"

Sage sighed, "I assumed Harry would do something... well not to this extent but... better be safe than sorry," she explained, "but Seamus and Dean both tried to hold me back. I was quite immature on my part."

Draco nodded and looked at her "Thank you for coming..." he told her, leaning in to kiss her.

As their lips made touch, Sage's mouth curved slightly into a small smile.

They parted, eyes gazing into one another's. "Have I ever told you how beautiful you are, Lupin?" He said quietly.

Sage blushed gently "a few times... give or take..." she teased and leaned down to kiss him again. It was a quick kiss, small and short.

The duo was basically the power couple of Hogwarts while being the most unexpected one in a while. A half-blood Gryffindor with a pure-blood Slytherin. Draco Malfoy and Sage Lupin were quite the match.

A little like another couple of people knew...

March 17, 1978.

Marlene McKinnon waited in the courtyard patiently for her current boyfriend, Barty Crouch Jr. The two had to spend the last year and a half sneaking around Hogwarts to spend time together. Everyone else, third year and up was at Hogsmeade.

No one would ever support them together... none of their friends, their families... Marlene knew he was a death eater. But she loved him and that's all that mattered. Love... was all that mattered.

Barty approached Marlene, who was sitting on a fountain.

Sage and Draco rose to their feet, Draco taking her hand softly and leaning some of his weight on her. He was stiff and Sage could tell by how these his muscles were when we walked.

Sage looked over at Draco, she hated seeing him in the pain, even if it was just slight. He still had unbearable pain earlier when Harry cast a spell on him... a spell Sage herself had never heard of.

Sage and Draco are my world rn, I love them. Anyways be ready for some crazy next few chapters! I'm so excited to see this story finally come together, although the end is close. I have some cool ideas for the ending. Maybe a chapter in everyone who cared for Sage and seeing how they're dealing with everything after the war. Anyways I really hope you enjoyed this chapter!!
