crippling couples
Sage stared down the Gryffindor table at Ginny and Dean who looked to be arguing, it had been almost two weeks since she snapped at them. They'd been doing that a lot since Sage brought of Dean and Seamus and there, whatever you wanted to call it that happened last year. Seamus sighed "Sage, it's not that big of a deal," he told her.
Sage nodded slowly and ate some bread. "I have tutored with Draco, I'll see you later alright?" She questioned, her mouth full of food.
Seamus nodded "Okay, see you later Sage," Seamus said and watched the girl walk out of the great hall.

Sage waved to Draco as she walked to the table he sat at, Draco waved back, he was smiling and he seemed happy. The two had been getting more and more friendly with one another as she tutored him. Sage took a seat across from him. "Hey Draco," Sage greeted and he nodded.
"How are you?" He asked kindly, a smile forming on his face.
Sage shrugged "I'm fine," she answered, "And you?"
"I'm fine," he said, "Hey so instead of helping me today, can we just...talk?"
Sage bit her lip and nodded, that's what she needed, for Dumbledore "Of course Draco," she said. Draco looked down and Sage frowned "Are you okay?"
Draco shook his head, "I don't know why I'm telling you this... but I trust you more than anyone at this school. My dad is making me prove myself to the Dark Lord before I turn 17. I got the mark Sage... I have to kill Dumbledore..."
Sage stayed silent for a moment "What...?" She asked slowly and Draco just stared at her, did she trust Dumbledore enough, telling him Draco got the mark? Sage reached across the table and grabbed his hand softly, "It's okay, you'll get through this, I'll be here,"
Draco smiled slightly "Thank you, Sage," he said, "I'm glad I can still trust you, after everything,"
For the next 20 minutes, the two just talked. Once the time was up Sage and Draco were walking down the hall together. "Thank you for telling me," Sage said.
Draco looked down at her and smiled "I just trust you... I don't know why," Draco mumbled.
Sage looked up at him, something came over her, she had no control. She leaned in close and kissed him, and he kissed back.
Sage hated to admit it, but it felt good, felt good kissing him again. She was betraying Cho but she couldn't stop herself. Draco pulled back slightly, as he held her face. "Sage-"
Sage had told him about what she had with Cho a few days ago "I know..." she whispered and they kissed again. Bad timing, a group of Ravenclaw walked by them, that group including Cho.
Sage quickly pulled away to look at Cho, who was staring at them. She looked betrayed. "Cho wait-" Sage said quickly.
Cho walked over to them "Why didn't you tell me you still loved Draco! I would have understood!" Cho snapped, "Maybe this was better for both of us, you know we haven't been working out,"
Sage sighed "Cho I'm sorry..." Sage mumbled, "I do care about you but I think we both love other people,"
Cho nodded "It's not the fact that you're in love with Draco," Cho explained, "It's that you just kissed him and I'm sure you didn't plan on telling me,"
Sage shook her head "I wasn't going to, I don't have any excuse for what I did," she admitted, "It just happened,"
Cho nodded "Well since we're over, friends?" She questioned sticking her hand out.
Sage nodded and shook her hand "Friends," she repeated and watched Cho skip off with the other Ravenclaws. She felt horrible for what she had done.
"I'm sorry Sage," Draco mumbled quietly, rubbing the back of his neck.
Sage shook her head quickly as she turned to him "No-no it's not your fault, I promise," she reassured him. "I do have to go though, I'll see you later. I promise,"
Draco nodded and Sage walked to the Gryffindor common room and saw Harry, Ron, and Hermione sitting around the fireplace, she walked over to the three. "What's up?" She asked as she kneeled down.
"Nothing we're just talking about Harry's book," Hermione said.
Sage sighed "You still haven't gotten rid of that?" She asked.
Harry shook his head "No, I wanna know more about it," Harry explained. Harry looked back down at the book "Have you ever heard of this spell? Sectumsempra?"
He showed the book to Hermione "No I haven't," she answered, "And if you had a shred of self-respect you'd hand that book in,"
"Not bloody likely, he's top of the class," Ron told her. "He's even better than you Hermione and Sage,"
Sage sighed "Fair point," She mumbled.
"Slughorn thinks he's a genius," Ron pointed out. Hermione was staring at him dead in the eyes "What?"
"I'd like to know who's book that was," Hermione said, sitting up she tried to grab the book "Let's have a look,"
Harry pulled away "No!" He said quickly. They both stood up.
"Why not?" Hermione asked.
"The binding is fragile," Harry said quickly. Harry started walking away and Hermione followed him.
"The binding is fragile?" Hermione repeated.
"Yeah!" Harry agreed.
Ginny ripped the book out of his hand from behind, Ron and Sage gave each other a look of unison, Ginny opened the book, "Who's the half-blood prince?" Ginny asked.
"Who?" Hermione questioned.
"That's what it says right here," Ginny explained. "This book is property of the half-blood prince,"
Harry and Hermione both stared at Ginny as she gave Harry his book back.
