Epilogue
Sidon's Perspective-
Link took a deep breath and pulled down his mask before stepping onto the little stage set up.
He stood across from his opponent, and did a bow.
His opponent mimicked him before they both bowed to the director.
"Pret...Allez!"
The sound of their blades rang out, each clash proving their determination.
With every movement, Link felt more focused, knowing this was his final match between him and the winner's podium.
His opponent feinted left, then swung right, but Link was ready.
Link quickly swung at his opponent from the back and the match was over.
His opponent huffed and looked tense, but still shook Link's hand. Link smiled and stepped off, taking off the mask.
"That was awesome!!" Tulin smiled, his eyes sparkling.
"You did great! I got cool pictures too!" Zelda gave her friend a thumbs up and Link chuckled, scratching the back of his neck.
"You were incredible!"
Link gasped as he felt someone hug him from behind and he laughed as Sidon squished him.
"Air- air! I need to breathe!!" Link wiggled out of his grip and Sidon laughed.
Lin blushed and rolled his eyes, though a smile was still planted on his face.
"Man, fencing tournaments are so fancy. I feel like I should clap quietly like at golf matches." Sidon said and Zelda laughed.
"Fencing is way harder than golf. In golf you just hit a ball; here, you gotta memorize all these fancy words, and French on top of that!!" Tulin sighed, "Maybe I'm not cut out for sword fighting..."
"You know, I heard that this summer camp I'm going to go to has archery. Maybe you're cut out for that." Zelda said and Tulin looked up.
"Really? What's it called?"
Zelda smiled and started talking to Tulin about the summer camp she was planning on going to while Sidon looked back at Link.
"Speaking of which, what're you gonna do all summer?"
"Ah, my parents wanna do this trip around a couple states. Some touristy stuff, mostly."
Sidon frowned and Link smiled.
"You don't have to miss out on fun things just because I'm not there." Link said.
"Yeah, but it sucks when you're not here. Cause most the time I'm just waiting for you to come back."
Link smirked and Sidon blushed.
"You're such a child sometimes." Link teased and Sidon huffed.
"Well I'm sorry I care about my partner."
Link chuckled and Sidon smiled, kissing his cheek.
"We gotta get some cuddles in before you leave, though." Sidon said, wrapping his arm around Link.
"See? Child."
"LINK!"
Link laughed and ran, Sidon chasing him.
Zelda sighed and shook her head, "I swear, they're both children."
"Well now you're stuck with me all summer!" Tulin smiled and Zelda laughed.
"That won't be too bad. I've been able to deal with Link for this long, I'm sure I can handle you."
Zelda and Tulin followed the couple, chatting about all their plans and what they were looking forward to.
Just because someone isn't that close with you doesn't mean you completely lost them,
The memories made will never leave.
And to be honest... Sidon smiled as he saw Link get handed a medal from the director. I'm really glad I was able to have these moments with the people I care about.
I love you.
