Chapter nine

"JACK! JACK!" I heard  as I slowly woke up.

As my eyes opened all I saw was a blur of blackish hair .

"JACK!!!!" The voice shouted again.

Finally my vision returned, and I saw Joey kneeling beside me. 

"Ah!" I scream as I tried to scoot back.

"Okay, Jack, I am really sorry but just trust me." "I'm gonna help you find your real family."

I didn't want to trust him, but I knew at the moment it was the smartest decision.

 "Fine," I said angrily, "But promise me that you  wont hurt me."

"I wont.....I promise."

"How did you find me anyway?"

"The orphanage called to say you were missing, I caught on to your plan pretty quick. I went to your tree house, when I noticed foot prints."

"Well thanks." I said.

"Sure thing."

I was freezing so the first thing Joey did was take me out to eat. We didn't want people to know who we were so we went to another small town to eat. Joey had done a bunch of reaserch and narrowed my family down to about 5 towns.

I'm still not sure what that locket was, it flashed into my head and then it was gone.  Anyway that's not really the problem here, the problem is  I need to find my family.
