🔥Chapter 9: Trapped Again🔥
We all tensed up as we heard the familiar cackles of the unfriendly triangle, making us turn around. My eyes widened at the sight of Bill floating over. Besides the dream I had, it had been years since I last saw him.
I had opened that would be the last time...
"Pinetree, Shooting Star! It has been too long! You've grown so much! It's weird how mortals change in such short time!" He shrunk, floating around my sister and I with his greeting.
Mabel quickly shooed him off, a glare on her face. "You leave us alone, you isosceles monster!!!"
"Aw, I'm offended! I thought you'd be happy to see your old pal!" Mabel and I couldn't take our glares away from him, but I noticed (y/n) wasn't angry anymore.
She was afraid. I had only seen her this way very few times in the past, and it always worried me so much.
"Seems my little Firestone isn't so comfortable with the situation." She tensed up a bit, hearing Bill speak before looking up with a deadly glare, trying to hide her fear behind.
"How do you expect me to feel?!? I've been held captive for over a year, I finally see my boyfriend and best friend after so long, I thought I was actually going to escape this horrid place!!!"
Mabel and I backed away a little, feeling her flames radiating off of her from the anger she felt. This was normal for her, her powers would always take shape to show her emotions.
She once told me she got that from her mother, but that's one of the very few times she's ever mentioned her.
Bill's eye narrowed in anger, floating over to (y/n). "I will not have my daughter living among idiotic mortals for any longer."
"You've forgotten though, haven't you? I am mortal now." Her glare turned darker as she fought against him.
I remember when she told us. She wanted to be able to grow just like Mabel and I, for one year to be exactly that: one year. She was able to cast a spell on herself, and now she grows up like any normal human.
I could tell Bill hated the fact she did that, for he flickered between yellow and red before his eye shifted to me. "Yes, I know what you did. And I hate the fact you did so, all because of some stupid mortal-"
"Don't call him that!" (y/n) shot back at him. Mabel and I had no idea what to do. We couldn't leave, the doors had been locked.
Goddammit! We had come here to help her, and it seems like we've only made things worse...
Bill then looked at Mabel and me, making us tense up. He soon grew relaxed as he spawned a glass with a drink on his hand. "Well, if you really missed each other so much, then why don't I let them join you?"
"Huh?!?" (y/n) tried to protest, but Bill had already raised a hand, snapping his fingers as the three of us were surrounded by blue flames.
I closed my eyes at the sudden brightness, soon feeling the painless heat go away. When I opened my eyes, I saw myself in the room we had been trying to find, (y/n)'s room.
As I looked around, I saw (y/n) trying to open the door. Using her force, using her spells, using her fire, none of it worked.
She stared at the door for a few seconds, and to my surprise, she began to harshly punch the door with her bare fists. My eyes widened as I tried to yell her name, telling her to stop.
She didn't listen.
She didn't want to listen.
She continued to punch the door to the point where I could see her bloody fists. I ran over, pulling her with me and away from the door. She tried to struggle from my grip, but unlike from when we were kids, I was much stronger in physical strength.
I tried to calm her down, turning her to face me. I grew ten times more worried as I saw the tears streaming down her face.
I didn't know what to do, I had only ever seen her cry once before.
I looked at Mabel who stood by the bed, both of us unsure of how to react. I looked back, gently cupping her cheek as I wiped some of her tears away.
Before I could say anything, she through her arms around me, catching me off guard a little as she cried into my chest. I did the same, gently pulling her down to the floor as I tried to comfort her.
"I... I-I'm sorry... I'm s-so sorry..." She forced out through her sobbing. I didn't think it was possible for me to get even more worried.
I gently pet her hair, trying my best to calm her down. "Why are you sorry...? You haven't done anything wrong..."
I felt her tighten her grip around me, her sobs calming down a bit. "I-I should've d-done something, th-that way you wouldn't be s-stuck here..."
I gently culled her cheek, tilting her head up to face me. "Hey... this isn't your fault... none of this is... We'll find a way out of here... But besides that..." I gently grabbed her hand, tangling my fingers with hers. "I'm just so glad to have found you... To know you're alive and well..."
She stared up at me as I gave her a warm smile. She gently grabbed my face, kissing my lips as I turned pink. I smiled, gently kissing her back as I pulled some of her hair behind her ear.
She pulled away soon after, tightly gripping my hand. "I-I missed you, P-Pine... s-so much..."
"I missed you too..."
