🔥Chapter 7: In The Mindscape🔥
I let out a soft groan, opening my eyes. The whole place was gray, barely anything in sight but floor. I stood up before helping my sister, looking around.
"This is the main part of the mindscape?" She asked, a bit confused.
I shrugged. "It kinda makes sense considering we're not inside anyone's head."
"But where do we go?"
Just as she asked, we heard a loud shriek, making us both jump. I saw the familiar, yet smaller than I remembered, eye bats. The flew above us in the direction in front of us, and a determined look grew on my face. "We follow that."
After a while of walking, we saw a very, very large pyramid in the distance. This all seemed far to familiar. Mabel and I walked over, and to our surprise, there were no guards outside.
Huh.
However, once we had made our way over, the entrance was a few feet above us. I groaned. "How are we gonna get up there...?"
"Easy!" I heard Mabel exclaimed. I looked back to see Mabel jumping inside a giant pink bouncy house. "We jump to it!" With that, she jumped up, landing in front of the door.
I thought of something, and before I knew it, I floated onto the entrance. "Or we could just fly."
"Sure, if you're boring." She said, making me roll my eyes.
We entered the pyramid. Inside it was a bunch of hallways with doors, most of them locked. Even as we tried to imagine them open, they just wouldn't unlock.
"Dipper?" I heard Mabel say, making me turn to face her. "Maybe this would be faster if we split up."
"What?!? But-!"
"We have the bracelets Ford gave us, we'll still be in contact." She added.
I thought for a few seconds before letting out a sigh. "Alright, but be careful."
She gave me a determined smile before turning a corner, eventually disappearing from sight. I continued my own way, trying to open as many doors as I was able to.
Damn, this place was like a maze!
"Yes, I know." I heard a familiar voice say, making my blood grow cold. I quickly turned the corner, my back pressed against the wall. "But you have to admit, his face was absolutely priceless!"
I saw Bill Cipher floating down the hallway beside a creature I didn't recognize. "I will admit it was funny, but sir, if you want to keep your daughter here for all eternity, it was a very risky move. Isn't that boy a thorn in your side?" The creature spoke.
'Daughter', huh? That means (y/n) has to be here.
Bill only laughed. "Dear Death, this is all planned! No need to worry, I have it all under control."
The creature let out a sigh in defeat. "If you insist, sir..."
I heard the footsteps about to turn the corner, and I felt my hand grab a doorknob, now realizing I was hiding against another door. Unsurprisingly, it was locked. But I tried my best to unlock it, praying to God it would work.
It wasn't long until the door opened, and I felt backwards into the unknown room. I quickly stood up, closing and locking the door, steadying my breathing.
After waiting a few minutes to make sure they had both gone far enough, I looked around.
This room...
This was the room!
The room on the wall!
I noticed the bed was undone, and there were multiple books on the ground. It was obvious someone had been here. I noticed something slightly poking out from under the pillow, making me grow curious.
I walked over, pulling out a couple of papers.
My eyes widened a little at the sight. Drawings, of me, of Mabel, Stan, Ford, Soos, Wendy, and a couple more. I looked at the one of me, small hearts drawn around it.
A small smile grew on my face as my eyes shifted to (y/n)'s signature. She was here, I knew she was.
But where specifically? Where was she now?
After ending that thought, I felt someone harshly grab my arm, turning me around and pushing me against the wall, knocking the air out of me. I saw a fist about to hit my face, making me pull my eyes in front of me in defense as I tightly closed my eyes.
"W-Wait, wait-!" I tried to plead, although knowing whatever monster had found me would just kill me right here and now or take me to Bill.
However, when nothing hit my face and silence covered the room, I slowly opened my eyes.
Two bright (e/c) eyes were starring back at me in shock.
"P-Pine...?!?"
Thanks for reading!!! 'Till next time!!!
