🔥Chapter 1: Doesn't Feel Like Home🔥
"We're almost here!!!" yelled my twin sister Mabel and she stared out the bus window.
You would think that being eighteen, almost nineteen years old, she would act more mature.
I guess that's Mabel for you. She hasn't lost her spirit.
She had let go of her turtle neck sweaters though. At the moment, she wore a hot pink one that showed her left shoulder with a purple strap, but kept the shooting star, along with some jean shorts and pink high top converse, her hair wrapped in a high ponytail.
Her boy crazy phase was way over, and she was actually dating a really nice guy called Leo back in California.
I was actually dating someone myself, we had been together for years. Even though we lived a few hours apart, we had made it work.
Had, past tense...
She went missing about a year ago...
The police searched for her for a few months, and then stopped, assuming the worst. They told me to think of the possibility that she's gone for good, that I'll never get to see her again...
And if I'm being honest...
...
I was starting to believe that...
"AHHHH!!!! We're here, we're here!!!!" Mabel's yelling crashed my train of thought. She quickly grabbed her bag and ran out with a bright smile.
I just realized I haven't even introduced myself.
Um, hi, my name is Dipper, Dipper Pines. I'm usually kinda quiet and found reading or writing in my journal most of the time. My sister calls me a nerd, but I just ignore her.
I have dark brown hair and light skin, along with brown eyes. Most of the time, I wear my red flannel and some jeans, but I occasionally put on a casual shirt and my indigo hoodie.
And I can't forget about my blue pine tree hat.
Pine...
Heh... (y/n) used to call me that...
At the moment, my sister and I were going to the Mystery Shack. We always come here for the summer to spend time with our family and friends.
Our great uncles Stan and Ford own the place, but our friend Soos is the boss of the actual tourist trap. I followed Mabel to the door who excitedly knocked on the door.
We were greeted by Stan. "Grunkle Stan!!!" Mabel yelled.
"Kids!!!" He pulled us into a hug before he ruffled my hair. "I missed you two knuckleheads!!!"
I let out a soft chuckle. "We missed you too."
He pushed us in. "Alright alright, enough hugging, go get settled in."
"Where's Grunkle Ford?" asked Mabel.
Stan rolled his eyes with a small smile. "Oi, you know how he is, always down in his lab."
"Oh ok. I'll say hi to him later!!!" With that, she ran off to her room. We actually got separate rooms now.
As I walked along the hall, I noticed the door to the attic. It had become (y/n)'s room...
... should I...?
I shook my head. I wasn't ready... not now...
Finally reaching my room, I put my luggage on the ground, falling backwards on the bed with a sigh.
I had to be honest, I did miss this old shack.
I stayed there for a while before beginning to unpack my stuff. I stopped at the sound of knocking. "It's open."
Grunkle Ford came inside with a warm smile. "Greetings, Dipper."
I turned to face him with a soft smile. "Hey, Ford."
He gave me a small hug, giving me a friendly pat in the back before pulling away.
A thought came into my mind, and my smile faded away. I took a deep breath.
"... has... has there been any news on (y/n)...? Anything at all...?"
His expression quickly saddened, I had gotten my answer. "I'm sorry, Dipper, there hasn't been any sign of her..."
I let out a sigh. I had heard that answer so much, and yet I'd never get used to it...
But a part of me wouldn't give up...
A part of me still believed that she's alive...
Somewhere...
That's when Ford knocked me away from my thoughts. "Actually, I wanted to give you something..."
"What is it?"
He looked into his back, pulling out a small (f/c) journal. "But we found this... It doesn't have any clues of where she might be or what might've happened... But it used to be hers..."
He offered it to me. I looked at it, (y/n)'s name was written in front of the cover in (black/silver/gold). It wasn't much, but...
"Thanks, Grunkle Ford..."
"You're welcome..." He gave me one last smile before leaving. I sat on the edge of the bed, opening the journal.
A few years ago, Mabel had asked (y/n) to sketch some things, and she actually really liked it. Ever since then, she started getting better and better.
"This was her most recent sketchbook..." I said to myself.
Most drawings were of creatures from Gravity Falls, but some were of... me...
Some alone, some with her...
...
"Please come back, (y/n)..."
Welcome to the sequel to The Phoenix!!! I really hope you guys like it!!! And I'm not sure if I'll be doing different POVs yet.
