Joshua- Chapter 22
I silently walked into the bar, not caring one bit about myself. The bar was a gray marble countertop with gold accents and a thin over-made-up bartender to serve things up. I sat on a sturdy bench. The bartender looked me up and down, lustfully assessing me.
" You're not our usual. What brings you this way?"
" A spirit."
" Oh! Let me take you to the back."
" Yeah." I sighed. She led me into the back of the structure and let me in.
" This is were... you know. Just be quick about it." She seemed scared of me, unlike she was early on. I didn't care much anyway.

I was never proud of my gift of communing but, it's what I had and what I was stuck with me forever.
" You done?"
" Yeah. Bye." I whispered, quickly exiting. I needed some air to breathe. Just for once a fresh breath and a clear head. I walked several yards into the woods, as the woods were the only thing separating my home and the bars.
I sighed in frustration. I sent out a rage of pure energy and branches began to break away at the trees. I was stressed, and I also felt bad about this morning. The excited glint in my baby's eyes were pure and full of unconditional love. I sighed, because I couldn't return those feelings.
I took a detour and bought her favorite doughnuts. I got her a bottle of lemonade and an entire chocolate basket. All of the cute figurines and flowers were all chocolate. I blushed, thinking of her delighted reaction and bashful remarks of how I shouldn't pamper her. I didn't care. It felt right for a lot of the disappointment I caused her.
Screw my birthday, but I didn't mind showering her in gifts and love. What would I say to her after I lied to her about wanting kids next year around? Oh, I needed to get a grip. I went to the jewelry store, to pick out some gorgeous pieces for her. I picked amethyst gemstone for a 18K ring. I saw this body chain of diamonds and another of pearls. I bought them both, just because. I got her more jewels I though she would love. An image of the diamond cupping around her pale breasts excited me. I walked back home, sure of her contentment and happiness to see me. I opened the front door and stepped in. Everyone sat on the couch, except for the girl I was looking for.
" Where's Cassandra?" I heard quiet footsteps make their way to the door frame across the room. She stood there with an angry, tear-stained face. She requested me by use of only a single finger. I followed her, naturally.
" Baby, talk to me." I whispered. She opened our bedroom door and escorted me in, closing it behind us afterward. I put everything I bought down. She didn't seem to even worry about the gifts. She was fixed on me. Her expression of anger cracked and she ran into my arms, sobbing heavily.
" I was worried, you fool. You told me to give you space to think and feel, not to just run off and not even tell me!" She cried. My mood dimmed.
" Baby, I'm so sorry."
" You should be. And what were you doing anyway?"
" I went to get a fresh breath of air at first. But... I thought of you constantly, so I bought you gifts." I whispered. She glanced at the many bags on the table.
" Those are for me?" She asked shyly.
" Of course." I chuckled softly. I let her see the gifts. I opened the duel doughnut box.
" You got my favorite." She whispered breathily. A Boston cream and a powdered vanilla cream. She closed the box and smiled. She looked into the bag. She smiled at the lemonade and chocolate basket. She moved to a smaller bag, with jewels in it. She looked very cautious opening the small box. Her eyes glittered as she gasped lightly.
" I love you." I whispered, kissing her neck. She giggled and blushed.
" I bought you jewels I want to see you in."
" Oh, like... body pieces?" I nodded. She hesitantly stripped naked in front of me. She tried to cover herself.
" Don't shy away. I think you're beautiful." I said, genuine, but suddenly as to not make her feel self-consious of her body.
" I married you because I love you for you and I love who you are and... how we've grown together. I don't want you to feel self-consious in front of me for that matter, because I love you." I said. She looked at me, blushing but almost in admiration. The natural dip of her breasts was gorgeous in my eyes. Her thin legs and thighs were smooth and worthy of my admiration. Gosh... I couldn't focus. I grabbed the piece and helped her through it. The diamond piece was just as I imagined against her skin and I strangely loved it's presence.
" Do you like it?" I asked gently.
" Yeah. It looks gorgeous." She whispered, looking at herself through the body sized mirror.
" Great. I think it looks absolutely gorgeous on you." She blushed at me and pouted, trying on another piece. I loved her so much I spoiled her. She slipped it on and I couldn't say a word.
" Why did you close your eyes?" She asked innocently.
" So I don't get tempted to do anything remotely barbaric."
" Why?"
" Because you look gorgeous. I can't control myself around you."
" Why do you feel like you have to?" She whispered in my ear. My hand automatically squeezed her ass and I was completely entranced by her. I unintentionally backed her against a wall and kissed her neck in several places.
" Let's look at the other gifts before we reach that level, capiche?" I closed my eyes and groaned. I thought I could control myself. She gracefully sat on the table, a truly gorgeous woman and ate a thin bark of chocolate. She gasped as she had found another gorgeous ring.
" Now come here, baby." I whispered, lustfully. She blushed and came my way.
" Thank you." She giggled. I lifted her onto my waist and took her to bed.
