My dad walked in, holding Violet's hand. I looked away. We all greeted each other and exchanged hugs. But my eyes immediately went back to Blaise' motionless form on my mom's lap, who couldn't really move from her spot. Joshua held my hand tightly, knowing I was on edge with my father around. Especially right now and even more so with my harsh feelings jus
t a day ago. I held back with as much intensity. My mother didn't even acknowledge my father's arrival. Violet seemed a little on edge.

" So, how are things going?" He asked. I knew he probably asked me, but Joshua spoke up and answered. I couldn't say anything without sounding sarcastic, evil, rude or like an overall bitch to my dad and I'm sure Joshua knew that I felt this way.

" Things have been going smooth. Blaise got into an accident, sadly, but things are running." I was grateful for him on a different level.

" What happened?"

" We went out and she tripped on some glass. I wish she would have been a little more careful." He was lying with the straightest face ever. I loved him more already.

" I'm sorry to hear. And your other daughter?"

" Madelyn." She said, stepping into his view. Her gaze was dark and intimidating but he seemed to love her.

" You look like... Teagan. Except with your father's nose. How are you?" That got mixed reactions. Teagan looked at Cole in shock, Violet held an annoyed stance at my mom and joshua looked offended at the fact that I wasn't mentioned. Carter wasn't here because he didn't believe in fake family reunions. Carter was upset at Mom and Dad for separate reasons.

" Thank you." She whispered simply and sat down on Daniel's lap. Daniel held concern in his eyes for his niece. He nudged at her with his head. She laughed, looking at him.

" I wanted to formally introduce you all to my fiancé, Violet." Violet looked at everyone and smiled waving at us all. The tension in this room was so thick it could be sliced in half. My mother was surprised at the fact that I hadn't burst a blood vessel yet. Joshua was upset that my father couldn't see how angry I was. Daniel was upset that our parents were separated. Adelyn was mad that Violet was here, for personal reasons I assume. Blaise was sleep. The door in the back closed shut as Carter walked from his room to the kitchen. Nobody was really okay with each other. It didn't matter too much, but we all still felt.

" So, why'd you come?" I asked finally, breaking the silence.

" I came to see you-"

" No you didn't, dad." Daniel, Carter and I said in unison. His expression dropped.

" I may have been weak, But I wasn't and still am not stupid. You haven't wanted to see me much less the family. What brings you this way?"

He chose his words carefully, seeing as to the fact that we were onto him." I wanted us to get to know Violet." He sighed, stressed.

His words made my face burn in anger " ... We already know Violet is the girl you're fucking dad, we didn't have to hear it from you." He narrowed his eyes at me, and my stubbornness pushed back. Joshua held my hand tighter. I stopped fuming at my dad and listened to him.

" Go easy on him. He's trying."

" NO HE'S NOT! IF HE WOULD HAVE TRIED WHY DID HE BRING HER?"

" He brought me because he didn't want to come alone." Our heads snapped in her direction.

"And you turned her into a demon dad? That's a new level of pathetic." Daniel pointed out.

" Seriously. And tell her to stay out of our conversations and stay out of our heads." I growled. Mom sighed, shifting her weight. Adelyn pulled my hand.

" I'm going to go home, okay?" Joshua and I nodded. The girl disappeared and was gone. My mom gently lift Blaise' body and carried her to her bed. I noticed him look after her. It made me angrier. I kept that in.

" I was afraid to come. Because you might want me to stay and... I didn't want that."

" Dad, why?" I asked.

" Because... I just don't want to stay. It would be better if I lived with Violet." A scary wave of emotions hit me at once.

" Okay." I whispered softly.

" Cass-"

" If you want to live with Violet, stay with Violet." I whispered. I felt Daniel's confusion.

" Stay with Violet. Because forbid you feel uncomfortable or forbid you don't need us. It's okay. Just walk away." Joshua felt impacted by the amount of emotions I was feeling. I let go of him. I walked away, feeling numb to everything. It was my fault he didn't want to stay. I felt his hand grab mine. I sent a surge of my pain at him. He fell to his knees groaning in pain. Violet ran to his side.

" What the fuck did you do?!" She yelled.

" You have no voice in this house. You may take my dad and leave." He didn't move or speak or even breathe audibly. She stood and stepped to me. I easily blew her and cracked a part of the wall. Her eyes glowed with anger. Suddenly I was off the floor. Blood dripping from my pores. The blood was taking up my vision. I struggled to breathe. For once in my life, I was truly scared.

Third person

" Violet, stop!" Cole cried. She seemed to be angry and in a trance. Joshua knew he could do something, but he wasn't supposed to perform the spell. It could save her life-

Everyone looked toward the center of the room. Satan himself looked right at Violet. Without moving a muscle he flung her away like a rag doll. Cassandra had crumpled to the floor. Her skin was white and her black blood was presently still leaking from her ears, nose and eyes. He got on his knees. Teagan came running and sobbing.

" Don't cry, love. She's okay." He whispered to her. He wiped his hands over her face and ears, instantly clearing her blood away. He turned and looked at Violet who scrambled up. Cole was up by this time.

" Because of your foolishness, Cassandra won't wake up anytime soon. She simply sent her father a shock of pain, but you put her in a coma?" He growled.

" If anyone's responsible its me. Violet didn't know-" Cole attempted to intercept

" You know well enough that won't hold up on Earth much less in hell."

Violet disappeared, and lie on a dungeon floor. Mice scattered as she pulled at the chains she was tied back by. She screamed in regret and agony.

" Now leave." He told Cole, who reluctantly left. Everyone else crowded around her body. Joshua touched her. He tried to reach her, but something weird was going on.

" She can hear you. She simply can't speak or see you."

" Hey baby." Joshua whispered. He sobbed into his sleeve. Everyone was asking so many questions.

" She won't wake up for another 3 days or so. I'm sorry." He whispered. Joshua lift Cassandra gently and took her to their bedroom. He lie her down and wrapped her in the covers. He went home and had to bring back his daughter.

" Adelyn, your mother is in a coma. I need you to watch over your sister." He whispered.

" What happened?" She asked, confused.

" I'll fill you in later. Please, make sure Blaise is alright." She nodded. Without any question, she sat by her sister's side until she was recovered. Joshua stepped out of the bedroom.

" Carter, come." Joshua called. He was by Joshua's side in seconds.

" I need you to watch over Cassandra. I'm stepping out. I have some business to get taken care of. Please watch Cassandra." Without question, Carter obeyed. Teagan, Satan, and Daniel were on edge in the living room. " Hey guys, is there anything I can get you while you're here? If you'll be staying, is all?"

" Just some water please. Thank you, Joshua." He nodded and got her some water. She sat down and sighed. Satan stood and addressed Joshua.

" I'll be gone in a bit. But first, I have to talk to you." Joshua walked over to him and he sighed.

" No matter what, try to hold back on using your powers. They're a lot more dangerous than you can even understand. I know you want to use them for good, but the powers you have afflict you when you help others."

He took his advice accordingly.
