A\N: why do you guys like this book??

Henry POV

I rolled my eyes at Ruby. 

I didn't knew Ruby practice on Ellie's leg. I found that yet insane but smart.

"no wonder you couldn't come to missions."

"yeah,just to get my leg hurt again!"

Me and Charles chuckled. now knowing why Ellie couldn't come to missions to teach a dog to fight.

"now let's get just get ready for our break in okay?"

"got it."

We went inside to get our weapons and the stuff we need.

I got my stuff and went out. remembering when i first meet Ellie here,and we both got out together.

just reminding myself about the leader of the wall made me send a shiver down my spine. and hated it. I never liked the leader. neither did Ellie. Charles knows that very well.

I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around to see Charles. He was smiling at me.

"remembering memories?"

"you bet. I hated this place. why is there murder reports here?"

"i...."

Charles trailed off. He was trying to remember why. The reports are also insanely high.

"i...don't know Henry. But after what Ellie told us, I think it happened before we knew."

"true.."

"the wall is not a kill house...right?"

"now just knowing.it might be."

Charles' face morphed in a more worried look. he was worried if me or Ellie would get hurt. and maybe himself.

"Charles what's wrong?"

"I'm worried Henry..."

"for what?"

Now i'm just pushing Charles to tell me. but it might just be my worry for him.

"if one of us gets hurt! You,Ellie or me!..I'm worried.."

Now i know Charles is not much of a fighter like me or Ellie. and Ellie is pretty strong. Maybe if Charles stays here, He'll be safe. safe from harm. I'm not gonna let him get hurt again.

"Charles stay here."

"what?!"

"stay here."

"why?!"

 I took a deep so i can explain.

"Charles, I don't want you to get hurt again! Now knowing that people here have gone insane, They could even kill you! I don't want to lose you again! after that mission with the toppats one of them shot in the chest, i thought i was gonna lose you. ever since i just wanna keep safe. just stay here to keep yourself out of harms way.."

"Henry I know your worried! but i wanna help you as well! please let me help you guys!"

"Charles please.. I wanna keep you safe."

"..."

Charles was thinking what was he gonna say. I had to think fast to make him stay here. Then i got it.

I got my ear piece and showed it to Charles.

"we'll still be on contact Charles..i tell you if we need help. just stay here please.."

"okay. but you promise you'll tell me if you and Ellie need help?"

"promise"

Charles smiled at me. Charles pulled me in a kiss. I gladly returned the kiss.

just a kiss before me and Ellie can go.
