(~Your POV + Time Skip 2 AM~)

'I hate this.'

I slept so much today, I'm not tired enough to sleep through the night. Sans made it clear that if he heard us "move or even breathe", both of us would be staying in the shed. Barb and I can agree that we don't like it in there so we obviously went to bed.

'Well, he did.'

It's really cold and I didn't want Mutt taking the blanket for himself again, so we're both laying on his bed. He has his side and I have mine, the pillow wall in between us. I'm turned away on my side so I can't see him, not that I would be able to anyway because of how dark it is.

'It's just me and my thoughts.'

That lasted two seconds before I heard something going on behind me. Papyrus started to shift around, breathing heavier and faster than usual.

'Is he okay?'

I sit up and turn towards him, getting a little worried. First thing I notice is he's definitely not awake. Tears are welling up in his eyes and he's tightly grabbing at his head, scratching himself.

'Nightmare..'

I sigh a quick breath before crawling over the pillow barrier. "Pap, Papyrus wake up." I grab his hands and pull them away from his head. That only seemed to make him panic more. I can see a bright orange glow start to form in one of his eyes. I shake him, more urgent this time, "Papyrus!"

He gasps as he wakes up, one of his eyes glowing brightly, "GET OFF OF ME!" His arm swings forward and I got a hard slap to the face. With a kind of delayed reaction, I gasp and jerk back. I felt a moderate amount of pain in my cheek and my mind went fuzzy.

Mutt jolts upright and looks around panicked, seeming to realize he was definitely sleeping before. I whine, "ow.." Barb comes to his senses, his pupils return back to normal, "O-Oh my god. A-A-Are you okay?!" He reaches toward me and I pull back, "It's fine. Don't worry about it."

(~Mutt's POV~)

'Oh god.. no no No nO NO, I didn't- I didn't know.. I.. Heck..'

I'm in internal panic, watching Y/N.

'I hurt her. I attacked her.'

I grab at my head, hiding my face, "I-I-I'm sorry." My body trembles as I fight myself not to get emotional.

'I was in Judgment hall. It felt so real.. I thought it was real. Can't I even tell anymore? Is the reality that Y/N isn't real? Am I just going to wake up one day to another genocide? I don't know.. I dOn't UnDeRStanD.'

My breathing is so shaky as I apologize to her again.

'I don't know what else to do.'

She embraced me for a moment. Then, her hands cup around my cheeks, "Don't cry, you're going to make me cry." She giggles.

"D-Do you n-n-need me to heal it?" I ask, talking about her cheek. She looks confused, "What? No! Ya think I can't take a hit? Clearly you underestimate me." She stares into my eyes for the longest time.

(~Your POV~)

'I JUST WANT TO KISS HIM! WHYYYYY?!!!'

I turn away from him, mentally chickening out. There is no way I should do that.

'One week Y/N, you fell in love with a monster in ONE WEEK. Dude, that slap really messed up my head.'

I apologize, "Sorry, we should probably go to bed." "Y-you sure y-y-you're okay?" Papyrus asks. I nodded before climbing over the pillow wall and back to my side of the bed. I lay down and try to get to sleep. I didn't hear much from Papyrus.

"H-Hey." I open my eyes and flinch when I see him peering over the pillow wall. I reply, "Hey?" He looks very nervous and asks, "C-Can I steal something from y-you?" I blink, very confused as to what the heck he's referring too, "Papyrus I'm not giving you my pillow." He laughs, "No, n-n-not t-that."

"Then what? What could you possibly want from me?" I stare at him for a few seconds, waiting for an answer. His face turns pure orange, and he rubs the back of his head, "Attention?" My face feels as hot as a thousand suns.

'OH MY GOSH!'

He looks away, fully embarrassed, "I had a g-great time today and m-m-me slapping you isn't the w-way I want to r-r-remember it."

'I'm going to have a heart attack! Did he really just say that?! It's not like the scenes you'll find in the romantic movies but GOd It'S aDOrAbLE!'

I pull the blanket over my face, letting out a long, drawn out squeak.

'This is not how imagined things would go. He is no joke, so innocent, he has no idea how to confess feelings to anyone. POOR BABY!'

Papyrus pulls the blanket off of me and I cover my red-as-a-tomato face with my hands. He nervously laughs, "So y-y-you're not d-declining? May I c-come over into y-y-your k-kingdom?" My heart is beating so fast right now. I look at him and he's got his arms hanging over the pillow wall. Mutt's quietly watching me. I squeal, "I don't know?!" He smirks, "I'm c-c-coming get my cuddles n-now."

He flops over the wall and on top of me, I let out a high-pitched shriek, "PaPY WaIT-" Too late, he's already crushing me. I laugh while underneath him, "Mutt, Down! Off!" He gives me countless nuzzles and cuddles, "I'm s-seriously s-sorry I h-hurt you though." I laugh some more, obviously loving the attention, "I told you it was fine. However, I gladly accept your peace offering."

Papyrus jokes around, "For v-visiting my s-side o-of t-the kingdom, you must g-give m-m-me something in return." I grab ahold of his collar and pull him towards me, leaning close to him.

And that's when he kissed me...

Writer~San: AHHHHHHH- yep that's it! Not the most romantic way of doing it but that's what makes it cute. I just really want my story to stand out compared to other stories. 16 chapters and we're finally getting somewhere! I wanted to post it since we are almost at 1000 reads which is insane!
