Without any hesitation, I clicked onto the YouTube app on my phone; scrolling through my subscriptions until I found Lachlan's channel.

I clicked on the video untitled "Why I Haven't Posted In Two Days."

The 4 minute video had been posted just about an hour ago and had already ranked up 700k views.

Pausing the video before it blasted loudly in the airport, I reached into my pocket and got out my earbuds; quickly untangling them before shoving them into the microphone socket at the bottom of my phone.

I unpaused the video; Lachlan's voice filling my ears and silencing the chatter around me.

"Hey what's going on guys, it's me Lachlan and no, I'm not dead" he said, starting his intro with a smile.

He was sitting in his office chair, headphones on and everything.

I studied his face. The smile was fake and I knew that because I know Lachlan. He's hurting inside.

"Now, many of you guys know, there's this video going around on Twitter of me kissing a blonde girl at a club while I was dating my now ex-girlfriend Maddie" Lachlan explained.

It felt so weird being called an ex. Especially after being his girlfriend of like, 10 months or so. (A/N: I totally forgot how long they'd been dating)

"Yeah, so Maddie and I broke up," Lachlan announced, looking down at his lap, "and I just had no motivation to do anything. Like I literally just lied in bed."

"I just wanted to tell you guys the truth because that's exactly what you guys deserve. I'm still trying to get over her but I honestly can't stop thinking about her."

"I just miss everything about her. Her laugh, her smile. The way she squirmed under my touch whenever I poked her side. I miss our late night Skype calls before bed. I miss running my fingers through her long hair and having her cuddle into my chest" Lachlan ranted, smiling to himself as he made eye contact with the camera; remembering all the great times we had together.

I smiled as I tucked strands of my hair behind my ear; adjusting my earbuds.

His smile faded as his eyes started to water and he quickly looked down.

"I'm sorry, I just, " he stuttered, "I miss her so much. And everything just hurts."

He sat there silently before rubbing his eyes and letting out a collective sigh.

"I didn't want to post this video cause I thought it was too personal but I just wanted you guys to know why I'd been so distant lately. I'm back on the video grind. I'm posting a fun Skywars with Preston later today" Lachlan informed.

"Hope you guys did enjoy this little update video. Once again, I'm sorry that I just left YouTube and social media without telling you guys. If you did enjoy this video let me know by leaving a like rating down below and I'll see you guys next time. Later guys."

Wow, that was... interesting. I don't know how to feel. I was and still am mad at him because he cheated on me without being drunk but at the same time, it hurt to see him so broken. There was still a part of me that cared for him.

Not wanting to have anything to do with the video anymore, I completely shut off my phone.

I ripped my earbuds out of my ears and shoved them, along with my phone back into my jeans pocket.

"Hey! Lachlan!" Mitch called as he made his way towards me.

Lachlan? He's here? What!?

Immediately snapping my head upwards, my eyes widened in horror as I saw Lachlan standing proudly next to Jerome.

He flashed me a wide smile as if to mock me.

Rage built up inside of me. No one informed me he would be coming.

"What is he doing here?" I snapped, as Mitch came to a halt beside me.

"I invited him here" Mitch answered.

"What the fuck Mitch! Why would you do that!" I exclaimed.

"Woah, chill Maddie. Lachlan had already bought his ticket. I thought he told you that already" Mitch explained.

Oh shit. He's right. Lachlan did say he was visiting.

"Don't tell me to chill. You knew that we had broken up! Why didn't you just un-invite him! What happened to you wanting to kick his ass for cheating on me?" I hissed.

"I'd talked to Lachlan and we are on good terms. It's kinda too late to in-invite him now considering he's already here" Mitch shrugged.

"Whatever Mitch. I should have stayed with mom if I knew that you wouldn't give two fucks about my feelings. Didn't you even think for a second that I would be uncomfortable with my cheating ex living in the same household as me? " I spat, looking at him in disgust.

"Then maybe you should just talk with Lachlan so you won't be that uncomfortable" Mitch suggested.

"Fine" I snapped, tugging at my suitcases and storming over to Lachlan and Jerome.

"Jerome? Can you give us a second?" I asked politely as I approached the two.

"Yeah, sure" Jerome replied.

I watched Jerome walk over to Mitch before I turned back to Lachlan.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" I hissed, giving Lachlan a hard shove.

"Well, that was definitely not the reaction I was hoping for" Lachlan laughed as he stumbled back.

"What? You expected me to make out with you? Or is grinding more to your liking?" I snapped, crossing my arms over my chest.

"Maddie, how many times do I have to say sorry?" Lachlan asked, his cheeky smile fading into a frown.

"As many times as you please but that doesn't mean I'll actually forgive you," I quipped, "and I didn't find your little update video charming."

"It wasn't suppose to be charming" Lachlan defended, looking a little pissed.

"I don't know if the crying was for the views but it's definitely working. I should break your heart more often."

Lachlan's face grew red and I knew that I had gotten a reaction out of him, but he collected himself quickly.

"Maddie, I know you. You may act like you hate me now but I know deep down; you still love me" Lachlan smirked.

"Very funny Lachlan" I said sarcastically.

"No, you wanna know what's really funny? You say that you don't love me yet, your still wearing our bracelet" Lachlan smirked, motioning over to my left wrist.

Fuck.

A blush grew on my nose and Lachlan flashed a wide smile; knowing he had won.

I couldn't even deny it. Of course I still love Lachlan. But how can you love and be in a relationship with someone you can't trust?

"You know what Lachlan? This bracelet once symboled the love and connection we had together but now, it's just a reminder of the greatest mistake I'd made in my life. Falling in love with a fucking two timing douchebag" I snapped before tugging on my suitcases again and brushing past him.
