I looked up from my phone from my seating on the plastic chair in the arrivals area and spotted out Mitch who was looking patiently out the window.

Turning off my phone and slipping it back into my sweater pocket, I got off the plastic chair and made my way to Mitch.

"Have you spotted out mom yet?" I asked as I approached him.

"Nope, I don't think so. I mean, I will only know when she gets out of the car because she's not driving our car anymore" Mitch pouted.

I let out a sigh. "I never thought that I would have to visit Pennsylvania to see my mom."

"Yeah, but it's cool to be in a new place" Mitch pointed out; trying to make light of the situation.

"It's like starting fresh. Back in Montreal we visited our friends and family. We don't know anyone here but mom, Connor and Kevin."

"That's a good thing. Why visit the old when we can discover the new?" Mitch smiled, nudging me in the shoulder.

I told myself that this was going to be the best vacation ever. Therefore I need to see the bright side in everything and quit being so negative.

"Yeah, you're right. This will give us the opportunity to discover new things and people" I agreed.

"That's the sprit!" Mitch cried before turning back to look out the large glass window.

We stood there for what seemed like hours when finally, we saw our mother coming out of a shiny black BMW along with Connor and Kevin.

The weather today in Pennsylvania was beautiful now that I look outside properly. The sun was shining, the sky was blue. It was perfect weather. Kinda like it is in Florida.

"Connor!" I cried excitedly, dropping all my bags and racing towards the doors leading outside of the arrivals area.

Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Connor running towards the same door as me from outside the window.

Running past the new arrivals and out the front door, I launched myself onto Connor; wrapping my arms around his smaller body.

"I missed you little bro" I mumbled into his thin red t-shirt.

"I missed you too" Connor replied, pulling away from the hug.

I examined my little brother.

He had grew a little taller and he had a slight tan. Probably from the sunny weather here.

His light brown hair was combed neatly away from his face and his hazel eyes twinkled in the sunlight.

Connor was dressed in a casual sweater and a baggy pair of blue jeans. He looked very handsome.

Damn, Pennsylvania really changed him. Connor actually looks pretty decent for once in his life. Not like the annoying 12 year old gamer boy I knew back in Montreal.

"Woah, Connor! Trying to impress the girls around here?" I commented, pinching his cheeks.

He squirmed under my touch. "Ew, god no."

"Madeline!" my mothers familiar voice cried as I felt a a pair of slim arms wrap around my torso.

I turned around and hugged my mom tightly; taking in the sweet smell of her Apple scented dark brown hair.

Once we pulled away, I looked into her light brown eyes and smiled.

"Hey mom" I greeted.

She leaned in and gave me a kiss on the cheek. "Hello Maddie. It's so good to see you."

We pulled away from the hug and I looked at my mother.

She was dressed in a flowing blue sundress paired with matching blue flats.

Her hair was let down and hang loosely on her shoulders.

My mom looked happy. Her face was glowing and her smile was wider than usual. I haven't seen her like that for a while now.

"You look so pretty mom" I commented sincerely.

"Thank you sweetie. You look so beautiful" she complimented in return.

"Thanks."

I wasn't wearing anything nice. Just ripped jeans and the sweater Lachlan gave me the first time he left for Australia. I usually wear it going to sleep but today I felt the need to show it off.

"There's my handsome and beautiful children!" Kevin interrupted, coming between the two of us.

Children? Okay.

"Hello Kevin, nice to see you again"
I greeted back politely; offering him to shake my hand.

Kevin looked young for his age even though his short black hair was infected with styling gel and he looked like he had eye contacts on with his blue-green eyes.

He firmly shook my hand. "How you doing Madeline?"

"Pretty well. Call me Maddie" I informed.

Kevin's eyes widened as I told him to call me Maddie. Was this a achievement to him?

"Of course" Kevin replied quickly, a small smile forming in the corners of his mouth.

Yep, a achievement.

Mom, Connor and Kevin greeted Mitch as well; pulling him into hugs and mother giving him multiple kisses.

Kevin helped Mitch put our luggage in the truck before we all gathered in the high tech vehicle and sped off towards what Connor and mom had called their home for a few weeks now.
