• Two Days Later , 1 a.m. ; Plane Ride •
( A/N : Two days later because they were on a plane for a full day and then another full day . Do the math and you will get it . I think )

~ Maddie's POV ~

" Happy birthday " I greeted Lachlan as he woke up from his nap .

He rubbed his eyes and stretched his long arms over his head before cracking a small smile .

" Happy birthday " Lachlan replied , his voice still thick with sleep .

Lachlan and I spent 16 hours so far on this plane and to be honest , I don't mind .

We were in business class which is only available when you are flying for a very  long period of time .

It's nothing like a normal plane ride . You have the space of 2 seats , your own little table , a place to charge your phone , excess to all the meals on the plane for free and wifi .

" I think that we should celebrate by getting a cake " Lachlan suggested , giving me a kiss .

" Do they even have cake on the plane ? " I asked , raising my eyebrow .

" Let's see " Lachlan responded calling a flight attendant over .

" How can I help you ? " the attendant greeted , her hazel eyes bright even though everyone else on the flight seemed tried .

" Do you have any cake on this flight ? ".

The flight attendant thought about it for a second . " Not that I'm aware of but I'll check ".

" Thank you " Lachlan called as the attendant made her way to the back of the plane .

" They probably don't have cake " I doubted .

" You don't know that , " Lachlan countered , " you feeling 19 ? ".

" Not at all , still feel 18 . What about you ? Feeling 20 ? " I asked , resting my head on his shoulder .

" I still feel like a teenager . Now I'm a adult " Lachlan groaned .

" Ew , you're old " I teased , scrunching up my nose .

" Leave me alone " he pouted as I let out a small laugh .

" I found some sort of cake " the attendant announced , holding up two blueberry muffins .

" That's just fine . Thank you so much " Lachlan thanked , gratefully taking the muffins .

" Your welcome , enjoy your last hour of the flight " the attendant said before moving on to another person .

" Told you they had some kind of cake " Lachlan smirked , handing me a muffin .

" Whatever Lachy " I mumbled , rolling my eyes .

" Let's do a cheer " Lachlan suggested , ripping the wrapper off of his muffin .

I ripped my wrapper and motioned the muffin towards Lachlan's that was raised up in the air .

" To birthdays and getting old " I smiled .

" Cheers " Lachlan agreed , hitting his muffin with mine .

• 2 Hours Later , 4 a.m. ; Rob's Condo •

" Why is it so dark in your house ? " I commented as we stepped into Rob's condo .

Suddenly the lights turned on and noisemakers rang .

" Surprise ! Happy Birthday ! " Jessica , Ally , Mitch , Vikk and Preston yelled as I squealed in fright ; placing a hand over my heart .

" Holy fuck , you guys scared the living christ out of me ! " I cried , breathing heavily .

They all let out a laugh before walking over to Lachlan and I , giving each of us hugs .

" Aw , my little sister is 19 . I remember when you were just a little baby , following me everywhere " Mitch gushed , giving me a kiss on the forehead .

" Do you need to remind me ? " I laughed , pulling Mitch into a side hug .

" Hello Jessica " I greeted , turning my attention to Jessica who was standing beside Mitch awkwardly .

" Happy birthday Madeline " she said , giving me a wide smile .

I can see what Mitch sees in her . From her long brown hair to her wide bright smile ; Jessica was a really pretty girl .

" Thank you so much " I replied , pulling her into a quick hug .

" Heyyy girl ! " Ally cried excitedly as Jessica and I pulled away .

" Heyy girl ! " I yelled back , holding out my arms .

Ally wrapped her arms around me , swinging back and forth happily .

" Look who's finally 19 ! " Ally cheered , giving me a high five .

" Yep , now you can quit teasing me " I pointed out .

" Trust me , being 19 is the best " Ally gushed .

" You would know " I laughed as she rolled her eyes .

" Hey , I'm going to bed " Lachlan whispered in my ear as he placed a soft kiss on my cheek .

" Okay , yeah . I'll be there in a second " I replied .

I watched Lachlan disappear down the hall with our luggage before I turned back to Ally who had a cheeky smile spread across her face .

" So , you and Lachlan ? " she winked causing me to roll my eyes .

" Ally , every time you ask about Lachlan and I ; it's the same thing " I stated .

" I just thought that you guys might have taken it to the very next level or maybe today you two might will ? " Ally suggested , her voice raising to a higher pinch .

" Ally , I don't think anyone would like to hear us have birthday sex ".

" Birthday sex ? Woah Maddie . You and Lachlan ! " Preston cut in .

" Maddie ! " Mitch warned , giving me an evil eye .

I felt my nose burn a bright red .

Instantly , everyone started yelling things about Lachlan and I . I prayed the ground who open up and devour me so I wouldn't have to be here .

" It's not like that ! We are not having sex ! " I interrupted , causing everyone to fall silent .

" If that's what you say " Vikk pressed causing everyone to laugh .

" I'm going to bed . Goodnight " I announced , giving everyone a peace sign before excusing myself from the living room .

" Have fun ! But not too much fun ! " Rob added .

They can honestly be the best and worst friends ever . But I still love them either way .
