~ Maddie's POV ~

The driver slowly pulled into the entrance of the tall , ancient yet elegant style hotel .

He came to a halt , parking the taxi as he got out to help us with our bags .

The hotel looked old but mysterious with a bunch of uncovered secrets . Mitch has a great taste in hotel choosing .

We all gathered out of the taxi while Mitch payed the man before grabbing our bags and heading inside .

The lobby was just as mysterious and stunning as the outside with its glass arch ceiling , bright wall lights , marble tiled flooring and beautiful art work hanging from the walls .

I scanned the lobby untill my eyes landed on a tall , dark haired man looking in our direction .

" Dad ! " I cried , dropping my bags and racing over to my father who was grinning from ear to ear ; his arms open .

I wrapped my arms around him as we embraced each other .

When we pulled away he planted a small kiss on my forehead .

" I'm so glad you could make it " I smiled .

" Of course I would , I haven't seen you in months . How are things ? " he asked excitedly .

" Pretty good . What about you ? ".

" Same old , same old " he shrugged simply .

" Hey , what about me ? " Mitch asked , coming up behind us .

" I would never forget about you , come here " Dad smiled , pulling Mitch into a hug as well .

The two of them pulled away as I remembered everyone else .

" Oh , come on dad , I have a few people for you to meet " I smirked , grabbing his arm .

~ Lachlan's POV ~

I arched my eyebrow as I watched Maddie start chatting with a tall man .

" Who's that ? " Alyssa whispered ; leaning closer towards me .

" He's her dad " Jerome added .

I froze . Her dad ?

Mads didn't tell me her dad would be coming !

What do I say ? As far as I'm concerned when a guys in a relationship it doesn't matter if the mom likes you or not , it's her father you got to get through too .

The palms of my hands got sweaty and my heart was beating in my chest .

Maddie started introducing her dad to everyone before turning to me ; giving me one of her beautiful smiles .

I frantically rubbed the palms of my hands on my jeans .

" And dad , this is my boyfriend Lachlan " Maddie announced .

Her dad's grey eyes widened as he stared at me then back at Maddie .

" Wait , boyfriend ? " her dad repeated .

" Maddie didn't tell you ? Lachlan has been her boyfriend for 5 months now " Mitch stated .

Mr . Hughes face went pale as he processed the information .

" Nice to meet you Lachlan " he finally said after moments of silence .

" Nice to meet you too Mr. Hughes " I replied politely , shaking his hand .

" How about we check in and start heading to our rooms ? " Ally suggested .

We all nodded in agreement as we went to grab our bags .

" You should have seen your face when you saw Mr. Hughes " Mitchell laughed coming up beside me .

" Shut up " I threatened .

" Nice to ... meet you too Mr. Hughes " Mitchell mocked .

" Oh you're gonna get it ! " I cried , chasing after him .
