• A Week Later •

~ Maddie's POV ~

" Have a safe flight " Jerome said , pulling me into a side hug .

It's been so long since I last visited my family in Montreal so I'm going home for 3 days .

It's going to be super fun seeing my mom , dad , Connor , Amanda and many others after about 3 months .

" Tell everyone I said hi " Mitch said kissing me on the forehead .

" Can flight 269 please make your way to your gate . Thank you and enjoy your flight " the intercom said and Jerome let me go as I picked up my bags .

" Bye guys " I said , pulling them both into a hug . " See you in 3 days ".

I headed towards my gate , handing them my plane ticket .

Home ... here I come .

• After 8 Hour Flight , At Montreal Airport •

" Maddie ! " a familiar voice yelled from behind me .

I turned around and saw Amanda with open arms , smiling widely at me .

I forgot all about my bags and raced over to her , pulling her into a tight hug .

" OMG , I am so happy to see you ! " Amanda cried as we pulled back .

" Same here " I smiled .

" So , how's #Madlan doing ? " Amanda asked .

" Well , he told me he loved me " I said blushing and Amanda let out a loud squeal .

" He did ? OMG ! I am so happy for you ! You two are my OTP ".

I laughed at how excited she was .

" He's in Austraila right now and if I'm correct , it's about 2 a.m. tomorrow morning for them ".

" That sucks . The long distance relationship " she frowned .

" We work through it but it's really hard with time zones " I sighed .

" Enough with the depressing stuff , let's go ! " Amanda said cheerfully .

We gathered my bags and were on our way .

• 1 Hour Later , At Hughes House •

" Okay , I'll see you tomorrow " Amanda said , giving me a quick hug before I got out of the car with my bags .

She drove away and I started dragging my suitcases up the driveway .

I didn't tell my mom , dad or Connor that I was coming here , I wanted it to be a complete surprise .

I rang the doorbell and could hear my mom from inside coming towards the front door .

She opened the door and saw me .

" Madeline ? It's you ! What are you doing here ? " she cried , pulling me into a tight hug .

" I came to visit my mum and lil bro " I smiled as she kissed me on both cheeks .

" Come in ! You have so much to share ! " she cried .

She helped me with my bags and set them in my old bedroom .

" Connor's at a friends house and won't be coming home until tomorrow but how was your flight ? " she asked as we headed to the kitchen .

" Great , what did I miss ? " I asked , having a seat on one of the kitchen stools .

Mom put on the kettle and set two cups for tea before turning back to me .

" Nothing much , same old around here . Connor and I miss you a lot . But how is life in Florida ? ".

" Pretty amazing . I went to a few parties so far and they are nothing like they are here . The weather is really warm and I'll made a few more friends " I gushed .

" That's great honey . I'm glad you're having fun " she smiled , going back to the kettle and pouring the hot water .

" So , how's things going with you and Kevin ? " I asked curiously .

She put two spoons of sugar into the tea before handing me a cup and having a seat on the kitchen stool .

" Nothing . We have been going on dates and stuff " she shrugged . " What about you ? Meeting any cute boys in Florida ? ".

I bit my lip nervously just as my phone rang .

It was Lachlan calling .

" Who's that ? " she asked , leaning over the table to see who it was .

" My boyfriend " I said smirking .

Her eyes grew wide just as I answered the call .

" Hey Lachy , what's up ? " I asked , getting off the kitchen stool and heading to the backyard to have some privacy .

I signaled I'll be back soon and she nodded .

" Hey Mads , I'm doing okay . What about you ? " he answered in a sleepy voice .

" I'm fine . Babe , you should go back to sleep . You can call me back later ".

" I can't . You'll probably be sleeping when I call back and I don't want you to wake up " he replied .

I sighed . " How are things in Aussie land ? ".

" Stressful . I have a lot of things on my plate right now " he answered .

" Like what ? ".

" Conventions , I have a new parody coming out soon , making videos , editing and managing this whole timezones shit " he groaned .

" Don't go too hard on yourself . Take a break for one day " I subjected .

" I'll try " he said , giving out a weak laugh . " What are you doing right now ? ".

" I'm visiting my family in Montreal ".

" Really ? That's cool . Did you tell them about us yet ? " he asked .

" Not really , when you called I told my mom it was my boyfriend and her eyes grew wide " I smirked .

" You're so bad " he said and I could tell he was smirking as well .

" Well Lachy , I think you should go back to sleep " I subjected .

He yawned . " I think I will . Bye , love you ".

" Nite nite , love you too " I said before we both hang up .

I slipped my phone back into my pocket and walked back into the kitchen , my mom looking at me with a serious look .

" You have a boyfriend ? " she asked , leaving onto the counter .

I nodded nervously and bit my lip again . " His name is Lachlan , he's a YouTuber like me and he's Australian ".

" How long ? " she asked , a straight look still on her face .

I am starting to worry that she already doesn't like him ...

" 3 months . He's one of Mitch's best friends . He visited Florida and we started dating " I replied .

Suddenly my mom's mouth broke into a huge smile .

" My little baby is growing up so quickly ! " she squeaked , hugging me tightly and kissing me on the forehead .

" Mom " I groaned as she pulled away and placed her hands on my cheeks .

" When will I met him ? " she asked .

" I don't know , we are both so busy " I trailed off .

" Well , can I least see a picture of him ? I need to know if your dating a monster or not .This can't be beauty and the beast " she joked and I laughed as I unlocked my phone .

I went to my photos and picked out my favorite one of him .

I showed her and she nodded .

" You learned from the best . He's very handsome " she said impressed and I smiled .

" I hear wedding bells " she said and I just rolled my eyes at her .
