CHAPTER: INTERROGATION

"How dare you do this to Yugi" Heba shouted as his foot went into my gut.

"Heba! Stop!" I heard a voice call from the stairs.

"You're defending him!? After what he did!?" Heba shouted at the person.

"Just don't kill him. I wanna be able to find out why he did it" the person said.

This person came into view, and I recognised immediately who it was.

"Atemu, I...."

"Enough Yami. You've said enough already. Just listen. You have caused Yugi so much pain in the last few hours, he tried to kill himself. He did this because he loved you and you couldn't be honest enough to tell him before now that you didn't love him? I thought raised you better as your older brother, was I wrong to think so? Was I wrong to think you loved your Hikari?" Atemu asked leaving Heba speechless.

"Atemu, I just realized I made a huge mistake. I came back to fix things, and earn back his love and trust. You did raise me correctly, because I've come back" Yami spoke.

"Just because you're back doesn't mean he's going to forgive you. I wouldn't be surprised if he never wanted to see you again" Atemu said turning his back on his brother.

"But he's my Hikari. He has to want to see me, I am his Yami. We need each other" Yami tried.

"He is stronger than you think. He doesn't need anyone to balance him out. If he doesn't make it, I'm not going to stop Heba again" Atemu said going back yo the stairs.

"I will kill you if Yugi dies" Heba growled.

Yami gulped as Heba retreated back up the stairs still fuming. Yami was, for the first time, scared for his life.

Yami went to the bathroom to help and stop his bloody nose. He couldn't stop thinking about Yugi. He hoped he woke up soon so Yami could apologize and everything could go back to normal. He stuffed tissues up his nostrils and went to find Atemu.

"Atemu, may I speak with you?" Yami asked from behind a closed door.

"Yes Yami. Hold on a second" Atemu replied getting off his bed, and walking over to the door.

"Hey Atem, could I sleep with your tonight? I don't have anywhere else to go" Yami asked looking pleading into Atemu's eyes.

"Fine. Only tonight Yami. I know I'm going to be yelled at for doing this" Atemu sighed letting his brother into Heba+Yugi's guest room.

"I am going to start getting ready for bed. It is about 11:00 and I suggest you do the same. We are going to see Yugi tomorrow and I figured you would want to come too" Atemu said going into the connected bathroom to brush his teeth.

"Okay. Thanks again Atem" Yami said as he was left alone to think.

"Why was I so stupid? Why did I ever cheat on Yugi?" I asked myself out loud.

"Because you've never been the brightest person in the world" I heard a voice say from the doorway.

"I know. But this is, by far, the stupidest thing I've done" I said laying back on the bed.

"I agree. I'm going now. I guess I'll see you tomorrow Yami. I still hate you, don't think thus conversation changes anything" I heard the voice say.

"I know Joey. Goodbye" I said as he left me alone.

I got undressed then went into the connected bathroom to brush my teeth. When I was done I went back into my room, turned off the lights and climbed into bed.

Good night Yugi. Please wake up tomorrow
