Dark Ember POV

I wasn't expecting this day to happen. But it did. I'm just a 6 year old demon alicorn pony who only has a few friends. My friends, Diamond Dawn, Solar Flare, and Moonlight Drawer (who is my crush), are just ponies that care about each other. I may have live in the Wasteland Of Equestria, but my friends help me through things. But this time, I had to help somepony.

In the afternoon, I went to the Everfree Forest to explore. Ponies say that it was dangerous without somepony watching a foul. But I didn't care. But I know how to defend myself. I was wandering around this forest, some of it gave me the creeps. Until I smell something strange. I sniffed again, and there was no doubt. It was blood. I track it down, not knowing I was going deeper, until I went to a complete stop. The smell of blood came from behind that bush. I knew it had to be something, or somepony. There's a chance I may be face to face with an Everfree Forest creature. So I gather my courage, and look behind the bush. And I couldn't believe my eyes. What I'm seeing is an orange red alicorn filly,who which looks younger then me, was all beaten with cuts and has blood marks on her.

I couldn't believe it again. A filly alicorn on the ground, with nothing but cuts and bruises with blood on her. I walk up and check if she was alive. While I was checking her, I almost step on a strange hair clip. A strange design for this, but it looks suspicious. Including the necklace around her neck. I went to her side and pick her up, getting a better hold for feeling her heart. I place my hoof on her chest, and to my surprise. She's still alive, but barely breathing. I didn't want to leave her dying, so I did what any other pony would do. I'm saving her. I use my magic to lift her to my back and ran to Ponyville's hospital. When I did, I yelled for help. The doctor's responded after seeing a barley alive alicorn filly on my back. They got a hold of her, and rush to the emergency room. Leaving me just standing there. One of the doctor's told me to sit in the waiting room for her recovery. I did what I was told, and waited. While waiting, I was worried about that alicorn filly not making it.

Diamond Dawn POV

Hi! I'm Diamond Dawn! Just an average pony who once lived in the crystal empire. *sigh* You probably know what happened. Anyway, I was chatting with the girls about what we want to do. In the middle from chatting, we say Ember running to somewhere. We were about to ignore it, and just thinking that it's normal, but we saw somepony on his back. We reacted. And we know where he was going. To Ponyville's hospital. The girls and I ran to the hospital to see what's going on. We went inside seeing ponies chatting for some reason. We heard that a black and while pony just brought a barely alive filly in the hospital, and is that foul saving her life. We were all shock about who are they talking about. No doubt about it. They were talking about Ember and that little filly. And speaking of Ember, we saw him in worries on a chair in the waiting room. We walked up to him ask what's going on. Solar was the first to speak up.

"Ember, what's happening?" She ask before Moonlight."And who was that?" Moonlight added.

Ember looked at us, seeing that were here. But in a sad tone, he responded. "This filly was beaten and barely alive in the Everfree Forest. Chances are that she's gonna die."

We were shocked that he went to the Everfree Forest. But says that there's a chance that she would die was sad.

"And I don't know her name," He said. "I wish I knew."

We all try to comfort him, but at the same time we were worried about that filly. An hour past, and she was still in the emergency room. Everything was getting boring, but we wanted to make sure that's she's alive. Just then, one of the nurse came to us. She looks shocked, but happy at the same time. We were all confused.

"It's a miracle," she said an awe. Ember responded. "Is she alive?" The nurse nodded her head. Now all of us were shocked. A beaten up almost dying filly survived. We were all happy about this.

Dark Ember POV

I can't believe that she still alive. But how? It's been like an hour sense she was in that room.
"Would you like to see her?" She ask. I immediately said yes. Same with my friends. The nurse smiled, and lead us to the room she is resting.

I can't believe that I'm gonna see the filly I save in her room. I was nervous, because I don't want her to think I'm a freak. Moonlight told me that she'll think of me as her hero. But I wasn't so sure. After a minute of walking, we finally made it to her room.

"Take your time," the nurse said before letting us in.

When we walk in, all of use saw the filly I rescued on the bed. She had bandages on her hooves, her chest, and her head. She was asleep, so we didn't want to wake her up. Solar went up to her seeing her, examining little alicorn wings and horn.

"I can't believe she's a filly alicorn." said Solar. "Me neither." Moonlight sat beside her.

After that, the filly started to wake up. Her eyes open, revealing her brown eyes. The girls were in an aww tone. But me, I only smile. I didn't know how this filly was in the Everfree Forest in the first place. She was probably banished by somepony. I walk up to her right side of the bed, seeing if she would flip out. But for some odd reason, she didn't. Instead she weakly smile.

Diamond was amazed still how she survived. But looked at the filly closer, causing her to scoot to me. The Diamond just smile.

"Aww. Looks like she likes you more then me," She said. And she wasn't lying. This filly wasn't shy around me. Like she looks up to me.

Moonlight then looked at me and speak up. "See, I told you your her hero." Smiling after saying that. I smile back.

Solar ask the filly what's her name. But in response, her voice was weakly sore. But we can understand her.

"R-Rainbow Flames." She shyly said.

I have to say, that's a nice name. It did fit her. Looking at Rainbow Flames, I'm going say Flames for short, making me feel warm. Not the kind of warmth of feeling from Moonlight, but the warmth of a strange feeling from her. It was more than love, it was like she's..... a little sister to me. She didn't say much, just her name. Then she turn her head like she's looking for something. I think I know what she's looking for. Her hair clip. I lucky grab it before we left the Everfree Forest. I grabbed it where I was hiding it and show it to her. She smiled a little bit more and hold it. The girls though it was a gift, but I explained that it was hers.

Moonlight Drawer POV

This filly looked at Ember like a hero. Or should I say a brother. When I saw Ember give a hair clip to her, I saw some strange design on it. I felt like I seen this before. Like from a book. Oh I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Moonlight Drawer. And I'm good friends with Solar, Diamond, and Ember (which he is kinda cute). This alicorn was different, but shy around us. Well, almost around us. Ember explain to us that it was her hair clip he saw at the Everfree Forest. The girls and I understand. I looked at Flames brown eyes seeing shyness and scared from us. Ember comfort her with his right wing behind her back. I thought it was cute to see this filly getting along with him. But I hope she gets along with us.

Dark Ember POV

Flames started to get along with me pretty well. She was frightened and shyness though, so I put my right wing behind her back. I can feel her snuggling on it. After that, she fell asleep. The girls gave in an another aww. But I don't blame them. This is cute how this filly was asleep on my wing. After she was asleep for 2 minutes, the nurse came in. She saw me and Flames getting along quickly, and smiled

"Are you ready to go now?" She ask. We looked at each other, then to the nurse. "Maybe just one more minute," I said. The nurse understand and left us.

A minute later we left the room. I said goodbye to my friends before we left. Well not me. I was hold back by Nurse Red Heart. I ask her why she hold me back. And here's why. She seen Flames before, and was an orphan with no family. She was only 4 years old, and has incredible powers. I was amazed. And it's just getting better. The words that came from her mouth, asking if I can look after her. Like somepony that can act like a brother to. So I accepted it. And after she was out, she stayed near me while I took her home with me.
