Life throws a lot in our way,
Though that's just living-
There ain't another way,
Just take it day by day,
Live in the moment-
Don't worry if time just keeps slipping away

Don't go searching ahead,
Look back instead,
On memories we had-
They carry us on- when lost in the dark
Like footsteps in the sand, they left a mark,
To see where we been, to know where to go,
A place to rest our soul-
A place to keep us whole

Day by day, the end keeps ticking away,
Night by night, a little ripples away,
In the crinkle of sheets, like waves in the sea,
Comfort surrounds us, til it gets set free,
When sunlight gazes in, giving a moment of peace,
As the wind slips through my fingers- freeing as the smile stretching across your face-
A moment in time of ours to take
