Sweet and bitter nothingness
They say the pain will go away.
That doesn't mean it doesn't hurt today.
You wonder if it'd be better to never been alive.
Every day you just survive.
Kept it together by innocents of your children's eyes.
Is this the breaking point of those who wish to die?
The silent remarks left unsaid.
It's a wavy line that you tread.
The depression sneaking in.
The thoughts keep sinking in.
Whispering voices of the dark,
never failing to leave its mark.
Feeling cold and hollow,
knowing you're more than shallow.
How longer you can play pretense?
Can't they see it's your defence?
Struggling through the fog of madness,
you seek solace in the darkness.
The sweet and bitter nothingness.
