My name is Selena Karsen, and this is my story.

2 years ago , I lost my parents. I then realized that my city was in trouble, and decided to do something about. I have come back to save my city from the horrors that lie within the shadows, I am the cities last hope. I am the Gotham City's newest guardian angel, I am the Nighthowler.

Selena finished the entrance exam and was walking through the gate to her new school. "I think this is a waste of time and effort. I need to continue training, get used to me new strength." Selena said into her phone.

"You need to be surrounded by people, it's good for you. Plus it keeps you under the radar, you've only been back a week and the wolf has already been in the news twice. If you don't master the art of a double life, then it will all be over for you." Her uncle Andy said on the other side.

"I get it, if I seem too suspicious about my extracurricular activities then I'll be in big trouble. So any tips on how to act like a normal teenage girl?" Selena asks. "Sorry kiddo, that' all up to you, and don't forget to...." Andy answers. "I know, you want me to sign up for the chorale, but who knows if they'll let me in." Selena says disappointed in herself.

"What did we talk about, you are a great singer. Just have confidence, and put yourself out there, just not so much that you blow your cover." Andy replied. "Got it, I think someone is supposed to show me around, so I'll call you after school." Selena says. "Ok, have a good day kiddo, see you at Karsen Industries after school." Andy replied. "Later, Uncle Andy." Selena said hanging up. She walked past the main entrance and was immediately noticed and didn't realize that she was being watched. Small strands of her hair fluttered in the wind as she gripped her navy blue shoulder bag.

(her hair was originally all dark brown, but then decided for a change.)She flipped her hair over her shoulder as her tattoo shined in the light, hardly noticeable. 

Except to the two students walking up to her.

"Hi, you must be Selena? My name is Leanne, this is my twin Rianne. We are the one's who will show you around." Leanne introduces. "It's nice to meet you." Selena replies. "Likewise, this school is pretty intense, but don't worry, your not alone. Even big shots like us have a hard time." Rianne says. 
"Really?" Selena asks. "Yeah, it must be even tougher for you, especially when you're a Karsen." Rianne answered causing Selena to tense up. "Don't worry, we understand how nervous you must be so we won't tell anyone your last name until your ready to announce yourself." Leanne says. 
"Thanks, I really appreciate it." Selena replied.

They continued talking until they decided to show her around, they made their way past the gym, out to the fields and ended it with the concert hall.

"This place is beautiful." Selena compliments as she walked to the stage. "Greetings, I am Mr. Keilman, but you may call me Mr. Kyle for short. I am the head director of the Gotham Academy Chorale." Mr. Kyle introduces as he stood next to the piano.
"I'm Selena. I was... uh.. wondering if you had an audition for your group?" Selena asks trying to find her confidence.

"We always hold one to see if the students want to join, it's never to late. Just come up here and show me what you got." Mr. Kyle said motioning her to join him on stage.

Selena walked up to the stage and flipped onto it. "Forget Chorale, are you sure you don't want to join gymnastics?" Mr. Kyle jokes. "I'm sure sir. I plan to start slow then work my way up. What would you like for me to sing?" Selena asks. 

"If you have a song that you wrote yourself, or a song already written that you hold dearly." Mr. Kyle explained. "I do have a song sir, but it's kind a personal." Selena says embarrassed. "Sorry kid, if you want to try a song that's already written?" Mr. Kyle offers. "I'll sing the song, just don't judge, okay." Selena replies as she grabbed the guitar. She sang the same song from the funeral, but with a more upbeat tone, and a smile.

When she finished, the three of them were in tears. "Was I that bad?" Selena asks as she sat the guitar down. "That was beautiful." Mr. Kyle states. "That song can bring anyone to tears, girl!" Leanne answered. "How are you not crying?" Rianne asks.

"I guess I sung it so many times, it doesn't phase me anymore." Selena answers as she then heard the entire student body applauding like she was a live concert. Selena slightly jumps and gave a soft, fake smile. 

"I think you would make a great addition to our group, would you like to sing again? Think of it as a challenge." Mr. Kyle explained. "Well, I..."  Selena tried to answer, then saw the anticipation on everyone's face. "We have another test, it's to see how someone's tone adjusts to a certain vocal range." Leanne said going to the drums, as Rianne went to the bass.

"Let me ask you, Selena. Do you know; Right Here - Ashes Remain?" Mr. Kyle asks. "I thought this was a challenge?" Selena asks sarcastically as she smiles.

She sang with an upbeat tone as she put on a front. But what she didn't see, was a certain boy watching from afar.

"Could it be, it sounds like her, but she looks different. Could it really be you, Selena?" Tim thought to himself as he made a phone call.

"What's up, Tim?" Dick asks answering. "I think Selena's back." Tim just blurted out. "You think?" Dick asks sitting in the Batcave working on filing.

"She doesn't look the same, but I know the voice anywhere. She's here, Dick. What do I do?" Tim asks. "Don't lose her, you already lost her once and it nearly tore Gotham apart, you need to find out what happened to her. Don't let her out of your sight." Dick said bring up the file they had on the Karsen's. 
"I would if I could." Tim replies, turning his head to see that she was gone, along with Leanne and Rianne. "You already lost her didn't you?" Dick asks happily smiling at Tim's mistake. "yep... dammit, Damien will never let me hear the end of it." Tim answered hanging up.

School went on as her last class was gym. She pulled her gym tank and shorts from her bag and changed. For the whole class she did pull ups and then started on the gymnastic beams. She was getting wowed looks from Leanne and Rianne and a lot of boys. Great.

"What are you guys staring at?" Selena asks continuing her pull ups. "You're so strong, how are you so petite." Leanne compliments. "You're awesome!" Rianne states. Selena smiled as she dropped to the floor, grabbing her towel to wipe off her sweat. "I'm nothing special. Just like working out, that's all." Selena replies as she turned and saw the boys beginning to drool.

Selena didn't give them the satisfaction they wanted as she went and changed. She walked out of the main entrance and found her driver waiting for her.

She was then joined by Leanne and Rianne. "So what's on your agenda? Anything big?" Leanne asks. "Just trying to get settled back in, it still feels weird to be back. I just want to go home, do homework then just crash." Selena said checking her phone then saw something that really pissed her off.
She didn't show a face of anger, as her new friends brought her out of her trance. "Hey, are you there?" Rianne asks. "Hmm, yeah I just need to get going. Let's hangout this weekend." Selena said as she sped walk to her car.

She had the driver take her to the secret entrance to her company. She got out and went down the elevator to her mom's secret underground lab.(Think Arrow season 2 after Felicity updated everything.)

"Have you seen this?" Selena asks. "Yea, that's really bad." Andy said in her earpiece as she sat down at the computer and brought up her new holo-screens. 

"Harley Quinn At Large!" Are you kidding me!!
"You have to keep a low profile, Selena. The wolf isn't ready for Gotham just yet, stay to muggers and rapists for now." Andy said as his actual life size hologram appeared in the room. "How long till you get here?" Selena asks pulling up every news paper clipping on Harley Quin on the screens.

"Not long now, just have to sign a few papers, then I'm on a plane to Gotham. I'll then be your personal butler." Andy jokes. "I will still give you the same respect as when I was in New York. But right now, Gotham City needs the wolf." Selena said as she punched in a 3 digit code that revealed her suit. A platform opened up from the floor and had her costume on a mannequin. 

"Think carefully about what your doing. Remember, if you put on that hood, you may not be able to take it off." Andy warned her, standing next to the computers.

"I already knew that, a very long time ago." Selena replies grabbing it and putting it on.

She used her grappling hook and swung herself to the building. She stood above as she watched the city down under. The lights shines as it reflected off her costume.

Her eyes were covered in a domino mask, like Red Robins.

She head sirens and followed the sound. "Andy, what's going on? Talk to me." NH(Nighthowler) asks. "According to GCPD, there's a jewelry store being robbed, one hostage inside, police are afraid of a firefight." Andy starts as NH started running across rooftops.

"I have to ask, who taught you how to hack into databases, cause if I remember correctly I taught you only how to fight." Andy asks sarcastically. "Runs in the family." NH answered as she jumped from roof to roof.

She found her way to the jewelers and saw the back door. NH jumped to the ground and walked to the door. "What's your game plan?" Andy asks as his hologram sat in her chair. "Time for the wolf to come out and play. Oh, Andy, get out of my chair." Selena said as her universally gorgeous emerald green eyes turned amber yellow.

By the time the robbers knew it, they were attacked by a wolf. It appeared in the shadows and took them out one by one, without getting a single shot in as they were dragged into the shadows to be taken down.

Nighthowler changed back to her human form and hightailed it out of there as the cops bursts in.

About 5 minutes later, Red Hood and Red Robin were on the roof overlooking the jewelry store where the hostage was talking to the police.

"What are you saying miss?" The officer asks. "Hey Red, come listen to this." Hood said catching RR's attentions as they regrouped into one spot. "Just like I said officer, this shadow just came out of nowhere, something grabbed the robbers and dragged them in the shaddows. Next thing I knew a figure appeared out of the shaddows and ran out when the cops came in." she explained.

"What do you think it means?" Hood asks. "I think it means, we aren't alone out here anymore." Red Robin answered.

There's a new hero, will the little birdies find who the girl is behind the wolf, or will the wolf attack before they have a chance?

I really like the song Right Here-Ashes Remain.

It's really good, I hope you like the next chapter, it's gonna be a really page turner.
