The gladers climb through the vent Thomas came out first checking the halls making sure it was safe.

                     Thomas's (POV)

We run through the halls of Wicked going right, left, then right again then left again it strangely felt a lot like the same path we ran in the maze. 

Suddenly coming to the huge metal door we entered just hours earlier.

I grab the key card from my pocket and try to use it but it doesn't work..

"Come on!"

No,no,no!.. the key card isn't working..

Then I heard Ratman..

"Thomas!"

Janson was coming toward them down the other end of the corridor.
With two guards holding taser guns.
Thomas threw down the key card.

(Y/N) hid behind me.. I feel she was terrified because not only was Ratman here so was Randall.

"Open this door Janson!"

"You really don't want me to do that."

"Open this dam door!" Tommy yelled.

"Listen to me we're trying to save your lives. We're trying to keep you, your friends, and (Y/N) safe.

"Don't shucking talk me about keeping us safe." "You want to use Me and (Y/N) for some special shucking connection we have and you want to activate it not caring when it's fully activated what it would do to her!" I yell feeling the rage building inside me.

                           Y/N'S (POV)
I felt Tommy's rage when he was yelling at Randall and Ratman..

Then Ratman spoke again "The maze is one thing but you kids won't last one day out in the scorch.

Especially little (Y/N) she won't survive.

We only want what's best for you."
             
                    Thomas's (POV)

I looked at Ratman and Randall as they both say this to me I then reply
"Yeah Let me guess Wicked Is Good?"

                        Y/N'S (POV)

I watched as Thomas shot the electric bullets at Ratman and Randall..

As Tommy starts to run toward the door I see it start close panic starts to rise.. thinking Tommy isn't going to make it.. thinking Ratman  and Randall are going to get him..

I don't even feel my feet move or my body react when suddenly I'm right next to Tommy instead of hiding behind Newt.

I grab Tommy pulling him towards the door. As the guards shot at us.. then I see it the main door is beginning to close..

Both Janson  and Randall are right behind us. Ratman yelling "shut the main door!"

I look and see Tommy slide under the door. I'm just a few inches behind him when suddenly I feel sharp pain in my leg I've been hit by one of the bullets..

A terrifying thought hits me "I'm going back to the bad people."

Then I hear his voice "Snowflake I've got you hang on! Ah shuck this stings."

Realizing Tommy came back and saved me.. but he's hurt again somehow..

We then make our escape from wicked..

We climb over a sand dune..  and we  enter an abandoned building..

                    Y/N'S (POV)

We entered the abandoned building..

I notice Tommy is in pain because he winces when he walks..

Tommy tells everyone what happened back in wicked.. what they found but he keeps that quiet as not to scare me..

Then he tells us to look around find what we can from clothes and other things..

I find a green jacket just like Tommy's and a new collar for Asher..

I'm worried about Tommy but Newt looks at me and tells me not to worry..

                Thomas's (POV)

We just escaped wicked. My ankle hurts but I keep it a secret not wanting to scare (Y/N).

Minho looked at me and asked" What's the special connection between you and (Y/N)? You care for her a lot.."

I look at Minho "I don't know what the connection is.. but I'm starting to figure it out I think."

"Yeah? So what's this Special connection you and (Y/N) have?" Minho asked.

"I think somehow we feel each other's pain." I tell him.
