Y/N'S (POV)

Tommy was holding me as we went down a long hallway. According to Ratman we needed showers..

We soon arrived at the showers there was a shower area for the boys and a shower area for the girls.. I hid in the group and went with the boys.
Asher was with us.

After the gladers were done with the showers and dressed in new clean clothes. Janson took them down another hallway and they entered a room with medical tables, a treadmill, and doctors..

(Y/N) instantly felt scared if not terrified.. she knew these were the bad people who separated her from Tommy.

These were the bad people who put her, Tommy, and their friends in the maze..

Thomas's (POV)

We were all put in separate places of the medical area. Minho was running on a treadmill, Newt was getting a shot of vitamins A through D and everything else he was dipprived of while in the maze.

While a different doctor was taking some of my blood I looked at the doctor and asked "You sure you've got enough?" The doctor walked off with the vials of my blood.

With the doctor gone I looked over and saw (Y/N) on a table just within eye sight.

She was just sitting there waiting for her turn.. A different doctor came over to her.. and suddenly it all happened so fast..

Y/N'S (POV)

The doctor came by she seemed nice. She asked me " Hi (Y/N). How are you doing?"
I looked at her and replied. "Fine."

The doctor has me do a few exercises which according to her I pass.. then she pulls out a needle and replies "ok (Y/N) I just need to give you this and then you can go with the boys."

I instantly don't hesitate I'm off the bed and by Tommy in a blur..

Thomas's (POV)

I'm getting ready to get up and go with the other gladers figuring (Y/N) will be with us when she's done with her tests.

When suddenly she's by my side in a matter of seconds.. I look down at her then at the doctor and I see that the doctor has a needle in her hand..

I get (Y/N) in my arms "What's wrong Snowflake?" I ask her and then I look at the doctor and see the needle.
"No needles she doesn't like needles." I tell her.

"No needles! Bad People!" Protect Tommy!"Ratman scary!" (Y/N) yells at the doctor.

What is she talking about? Bad People? They saved us from wicked.. I'm so confused..

I get (Y/N) to calm down and the doctor gives her a vitamin gummy..

I look at (Y/N) and ask her "Snowflake can you go with Newt?"

She looks at me and asks "Aren't you coming with us Tommy?"

I sigh before replying "I have to go talk to a rat. Then I will be with you. Save me a seat." "Ok?"

(Y/N) runs up to me and says "Be careful Tommy. The Ratman is scary."

I hug (Y/N) close and then get down to her level "Don't worry Snowflake I've killed a griever, survived a night in the maze, and got everyone out the maze to safety.. I think I can handle a Rat." I tell her with a smile.

Then while the gladers and (Y/N) are taken to the cafeteria I go and talk to Janson..

I keep my guard up because (Y/N) doesn't trust him she's also scared of him.

He enters and begins his questions..

"What do you remember about Wicked?"

"Whose side are you on?" Ratman asked.

"I remember they sent me into the maze.

I remember watching my friends die in front of me.

I'm on their side.." I replied.

Interesting. That's all the questions..

Now you can join the others..

"Wait others? What others?" I asked.

Y/N'S (POV)

I was sitting next to Newt, Minho and Mitch were on the opposite side of the table.. I looked toward the door and got up and started running toward the door I ran right into Tommy's arms "Your ok? You handled the Rat all by yourself?"

"Yeah Snowflake I'm ok. Tommy laughs at the mention of him handling Ratman all by himself."

I was going to ask Tommy what Ratman said to him.. when suddenly he enters the room.

Tommy and I go sit down with the rest of the gladers..

Ratman "Attention ladies and gentlemen you all know how this is going to go I call your name and you come make a line just behind me." He continues.. "Jack, Rex, Jenny, Stephen, Carson, Meghan."

There was a loud groan amongst the crowd..

"I know I know believe if I could take more I would." "Everyone enjoy your evening." Ratman finished..

"Where are they taking them?" Thomas asked a boy who was sitting just a few chairs away..

"They are going to a farm. A safe place. Lucky kids." He responded.

Thomas's (POV)

(Y/N) was sitting in my lap. "I wanted to know what was behind that door."

Newt looked at me and said " Look let's just keep our heads down try not to draw any attention to ourselves."

I suddenly see my chance when the kids are singal file and walking through the door I get up and fall in line with them..

"What's Tommy doing?" (Y/N) asks Newt

"Drawing attention to himself." Frypan replies..

I'm just about to get through the door when one of the guards stops me..

"Hold it kid your name wasn't called." Guard 1 says..

I look at him and try to think of a good explanation of why I need to get through the door.. "I just need to find an old friend." I go again to try and go through the door. But he stops for a second time.

"Turn around go sit down." He tells me..

I turn to go sit down but instantly I'm in enraged and I charged toward them again.

My friends are by side before I can do anything I will regret.. then he comes in.

"What's going on here?"

"Thomas were all on the same side here?" Ratman stats..

"Are we? I ask him..

I watch him keeping (Y/N) just out of sight..

"Get them to there bunks."

After that we are thrown into a dorm room with bunk beds.

Thomas's (POV)

"What the bloody hell was that?" Newt asked me.

"Newt these people are hiding something these people are not who they say they are.." I tell him.

"They are the bad people.. bad people.. they want our special connection to activate.. it's still Wicked we aren't safe. We're not safe." (Y/N) is saying this almost like a chant over and over again..

I rush over to her. "Hey Snowflake look at us we won't let them hurt you. We will protect you." Minho, Newt, and Mitch are agreeing with me..

I look at the gladers "Well since (Y/N) thinks it's still Wicked do you think we should stay or go?"

"Thomas I'm with both you and (Y/N) whatever you decide.. Mitch said.. Newt and Minho both agreed.."

"Alright let's find out what we're up against. Let's find out if we are safe or not."

Thomas's (POV)
I laid awake thinking we weren't safe here. Thinking of how I was going to protect (Y/N) when I heard the airvent move just under my bed I look underneath and see a boy who I learned his name was Aris from one of the boys sitting at our table.

"Come on. Follow me." Aris says.. heading back into the vent..

I quietly get up not wanting to wake
(Y/N) and follow him through the maze of the vents system.. we get to a part of the vents system and he opens it we both get down and using the key card I swiped from the guard we enter the room.. I look around seeing things in tubes, then we go through another set of doors and that's when I see them the kids that got called earlier that night hanging by tubes and these people are draining them of something..

Then suddenly the door opens both Aris and I hid not wanting to be seen..

I peek around the piller I'm hiding behind and see Janson.. Then I see Giant screen appear and I'm shocked to see and hear who and what is said..

"Good evening mama." Janson says.

"Are the new subjects ready? " The lady asks.

"I'm going as fast as I can." He responds

"Work faster.. Why don't you get the new arrivals ready. Especially with the girl and Thomas having that special connection we can't take any chances."

Thomas's head was spinning but hearing (Y/N'S) name made everything change..

The connection was cut off.. Janson left the room..

Thomas and Aris raced back to the room.

All the gladers asked him "What happened?"

Thomas couldn't catch his breath "We have to go. It's wicked.. it's still Wicked.. IT'S WICKED!" He finally yelled..

Newt walked up to him "Thomas what did you see?" Thomas told him what he saw..

Learning they weren't safe. The gladers decided to make their escape from Wicked.
