Y/N'S  (POV)

Tommy was gone. Wicked took him..

I felt my chest tighten I couldn't stay near the gladers I ran up the mountain and found a spot to hide..

It's all my fault Tommy was taken now Ratman can activate our special connection.. and he might pay the price.. unless I can cut off the connection between me and Tommy then I wouldn't feel anything and Wicked's plan would be ruined...

I heard footsteps coming up the rocks where I was hiding.. I then saw Newt and Minho appear..

"Hey little Greenbean.. we've been looking for you."

"Why are you hiding?" They ask me.

I look at them both and say "It's my fault Tommy was taken." I tell them crying.

"No it's not your fault Tommy was taken. He was protecting you like he's always done in the maze and now from Wicked." Newt tells me.

"Come on let's go back down and see the others." Minho says

We climb down the rocks and meet up with the rest of the gladers. I look to see Hope also in the group. She's holding two things..  one thing is a small vial I look closer at the vial as she passes it to Minho and see it's Tommy's Magic that made me better from my fever..

The second thing she hands is to me and my heart stops.. it's Tommy's white flower bracelet I made for him in the glade to protect him from the monsters.. from the bad people..

Now he doesn't have any protection against Ratman..

                    Thomas's (POV)

I woke up but I felt like I couldn't move.

I heard the door of my room open and a soldier entered.

I looked at him and asked

"What happened to me?"

The soldier checked the door then removed their helmet revealing my father Tyler..

"Janson gave you a little something to keep you paralyzed for a while."

"Why?  What does he want?" I asked.

Tyler looked at me "Ratman wants to injure you seriously to were your Special Connection between (Y/N) is fully activated but when it's fully activated there's something he doesn't want you to know that will happen.. Tyler tells me..

"What the shuck is that?" I ask..

Tyler looks at me and says "If your connection is cut off then Ratman will get what he's after.."

"What is he after? If (Y/N) cuts off the connection between us.. wouldn't that  be good that would mean I would take the pain and (Y/N) could live a normal life with the gladers and Mitch." I tell him.

Tyler comes over to me and shakes his head. "No Thomas you don't get it.
If (Y/N) shuts off the connection between you both then Ratman will be able to control you."

"What do you mean Ratman would be able to control me?" I ask him.

Tyler looks at me.. "Thomas you would become his soldier, do anything evil Ratman tells you. You wouldn't have any memories of (Y/N) or your friends from the glade..

And there's NO cure for the control once you're under it Thomas." He says..

After telling me the truth..  I suddenly hear footsteps approaching the room I'm in I'm guessing Tyler heard them as well because he comes over and whispers to me "he's coming play along." Before I can say anything Tyler punches me in the stomach but not hard just enough to get me to my knees.

Ratman enters my room and Tyler already has his helmet back on.. but he's also yelling at me I know it's an act so I play along.. "Don't Try to escape again!"

I look up at Ratman whose know kneeling down next to me "Thomas you should've just let us take the girl. It would be less pain for you."

I glare at him. "Don't you shucking go near (Y/N)." I tell him.

Ratman laughs and replies "Oh Thomas I won't have to go near (Y/N)."

My heart sinks.. that's why Ratman wanted me.. he's going to make me his top soldier..
