We currently were lying in bed early in the morning, too lazy to do anything else.

"John, why do you have the most beautiful singing voice in the world?" Asked Alexander, bluntly.

I blushed and looked down, "Haha, d-do you really think so?"

"Yes! It was almost as pretty as you~!" He squished my cheeks together and giggled.

Fuck. He's so adorable!

"Haha...well I can sing something else if you want?"

"Sure!" The happy look on Alexander's face was the cutest thing in the world.

I thought about a song I could sing. Then I had it. I wanted to sing a part from 'Hold Each Other'.

"Ha, this is kind of embarrassing and cliché but here I go. Ahem

"That was beautiful." Alexander said as he kissed my nose. "Cliche and only happens in fanfiction, but beautiful."

"Ha..." I paused, "What are we gonna tell everyone? Let alone Eliza?"

He frowned, "I'm sure everyone but Eliza will be happy for us. Maybe Angelica will be a bit mad. But I think everything will be fine in the end."

"Let's hope so." I said, "Let's tell Herc and Laf first?"

The two of us jumped out of bed, ran out of the room, and flew open the door to our other fellow roommates.

"Hey! We have news!" Yelled Alexander with a huge smile. Herc and Laf sprung up from their bed.

"Ooh, what happened!?" Asked Hercules.

Me and Alex exchanged looks and said in synch, "We're dating!"

There was a silence.

"And...?"

Another silence.

"Aren't...you surprised?" I asked.

"Weren't you already dating?"

...

"Why would you assume that?"

Hercules and Lafayette looked at each other and grinned then back at us, "Me and Herc always catch you guys cuddling and shit at night. Hehehe..."

What, what?

"Wait- how exactly?"

"Well, one day I needed to ask John a question but he wasn't in his room so I checked Hamilton's and saw you guys asleep, cuddling! So I went and told Lafayette and since then we've been spying on you and basically assumed you were dating."

Me and Alexander were very confused by this news. It was honestly creepy to think about.

"Okay, well, can you not do that anymore? Now that we're official, it might be a bad choice to walk in on us in the middle of the night." Said Alex with an embarrassed grin.

Holy shit.

What the hell just came out of Alexander Hamilton's mouth!?

The couple giggled, "Hehe, okay~! We'll just leave you to do things then."

Me and Alexander awkwardly left the room.

"O-Okay, well that just happened." I said, "Should we tell the Schuylers now? Minus Eliza?"

"Yeah. I just hope Angelica won't murder me. But Peggy will be ecstatic!" Said Alexander with a smile.

The two of us walked out the dorm and to the elevator to get to the fourth floor. We joined hands and only then I realized that his hands were slightly smaller than mine. It felt good to hold it.

The doors opened and we soon found ourselves at the Schuyler sisters' dorm. I hesitantly rang the doorbell and we let go of our hands as Angelica opened the door.

"John? Alexander? Hello." She said with a kind smile.

"Hi, Angelica. Um, we need to talk to you and Peggy." Said Alexander.

A slightly confused look came across her face, "Oh? Why just me and Peggy?"

Me and Alex exchanged looks. "You'll see."

"What!? You're dating!?" Gasped Angelica with a hard to read facial expression. On the other hand, Peggy screamed with joy.

I awkwardly laughed and said, "Yeah, we recently became official and wanted to tell everyone- minus Eliza because, you know. We'll have to tell her in a different way."

"YES! YES! YES!" Peggy was bouncing off the walls at this point.

"Sorry to let down your sister, Angie." Said Alexander as he put his head down.

"Normally I'd be mad, but I hate to admit that you two are really adorable. Plus, you're my friend so there's no way I'd be mad- unless you physically hurt Eliza because then you're dead."

Alexander and I stood their awkwardly as Peggy screamed.

"WE HAVE TO CELEBRATE THIS! LET'S-"

"Well we can't celebrate until we somehow tell Eliza. But after, we can? There isn't a need for a celebration but we can. I guess."

Later that day, Eliza and I went to Starbucks so I could tell her of the news. I had a plan in my head and I was ready to be slapped. But maybe Eliza wasn't like that.

"So, what how are you, Alexander?" Asked Eliza with her friendly smile.

"I-I'm good. Just a lot on my mind." I began to sweat and looked off into the distance.

"Oh? I'm sorry, what's on your mind?"

"Well...there's something I need to say to you, Liza."

"Oh, me too! Haha..."

Oh. This is awkward.

"Really? Why don't you go first then?" I really wanted her to go first. It's best to procrastinate in this situation. I think.

"N-No, it's okay, I'm good." There was blush on her cheeks and she looked to the left.

Crap.

"O-Okay," I cleared my throat and she looked at me with patient eyes, "Don't...don't get mad, okay?"

She tilted her head in confusion, "Oh, okay. What is it?"

I took a deep breath, "Well you see, I don't know if you'll take this news lightly but...I'm dating John Laurens." Her expression instantly fell, "Me and him became official last night- I mean, that sounds weird. What I mean is that we turned out to be soulmates and are finally together. I'm really sorry, Eliza, I was aware of how you felt about me and fell in love with John anyway. He just makes me happy in a way no one else can- I can't quite explain it. But I love him with all my heart and hope to never lose him for as long as I do live. I really hope you understand, and I totally get it if you hate me. I'm sorry."

She looked to be on the very verge of tears but smiled anyway. Her voice was shaky, "Oh, i-it's okay. I-I'm happy for you, Alexander. Really, I am." Tears started to glide down her face. She attempted to wipe them away and stood up from her seat, "You didn't give me color anyway."

Just like that, she ran out of the place. I called her name but she simply continued.

I really hope that she will recover soon.

That crushed my heart to write. I really love Eliza T_T
