11 - Sick
||Third Person||
:September 5th 2016:
That Saturday afternoon was when Laurens' colorful world opened. That's when he realized that the man standing before him was his soulmate.
He has been planning on telling Alexander how he felt, but he never got to right chance.
Eliza had kept coming over more and more to hang out with Alexander which left Laurens alone and jealous. Laurens began to notice the way Eliza was acting around Alexander. She was always complementing him and stuttering whenever Alexander smiled. There was only one explanation for this. Eliza was in love with Hamilton.
This bothered the hell out of Laurens. Do you know how hard it is to have the person you like being swept away in front of you and you can't do anything to stop it?
Yeah. That's what John was going through.
So he decided to wait on telling Alex his feelings.
Meanwhile, in Alexander's world, he felt like now would be a good time to tell Laurens. He was happier, they were getting closer by the minute, it was a perfect time!
He thought about different ways to win Laurens' heart.
Straight up telling him wouldn't be special enough.
But what if Alexander told Laurens of his feelings through writing? Alex had always been much better at expressing his emotion through writing rather than actual words.
So that's what he would do.
Write a letter to John Laurens.
All day, he had been using any time he could writing the letter. He made it seem like he was copying notes from the board so he wouldn't get caught.
But he ended up getting outed in debate class.
"Ooh~, what could this be?" Asked a familiar annoying student that Alexander despised.
Thomas Jefferson.
He picked up the letter from behind Alexander and held it up in the air so it was out of his reach. Alex jumped up to try and reach it.
"Jeffershit, you little bitch, give that back! It's important to me!" He yelled.
"Haha, if it's that important, why don't I read it to find out?" Jefferson teased.
"No! Give it back! Don't you dare read it, you bastard!" Alexander shrieked.
Thomas grinned and continued to hold the letter in the air and tried to make out the words on the page. He read them aloud.
"'Cold in my professions, warm in my friendships, I wish, my dear Laurens, it might be in my power, by actions rather than words, to convince you that I l-'"
Alexander finally grabbed the letter from Jefferson and held it close to him. Thomas pouted.
"You stubborn child, I wanted to know what it said!" Thomas complained.
"No, it's..it's nothing."
"If it's nothing, then why don't you read it aloud? Hm?"
Alexander rolled his eyes and looked down at the letter.
This would never work.
He ripped up the letter and threw each bit into the trash bin.
This was stupid. What was he doing? No way this was special enough.
He needed the perfect way to win Laurens' heart.

Later that day, Alexander was texting on his phone. Oh yeah. The author forgot to mention that Alexander has the Schuyler sisters numbers now and everyone was in a big group chat.
HammyHam: Anyone there?
HammyHam: I need someone to talk to.
Pegleg: Yo
HammyHam: Peggy! Hey, are you available? You appear to be the only person here and I am desperate for advice for something.
Pegleg: Sure. Where ya wanna meet?
HammyHam: The author can't think of another place besides Starbucks so let's just go there.
Pegleg: K :3

"Oh my God, Peggy, you have no idea. I really need help right now. You actually seem like the perfect person for this situation. So please hear me out." Alexander begged.
Peggy took a sip of her coffee. "'Kay."
"Okay, so, I know how good you are with this romance stuff, and, uh, I need you to do me a favor by giving me advice."
"Go on..."
"Well...I-I'm in love with John Laurens. A-And I really need advice on- Peggy?"
Peggy looked like she was about to explode, "WHAAAAT!?"
"Was that...a negative or a positive reaction?" Asked Alex, praying it was a positive.
"Well, that depends. Tell me why you love him."
Alexander blushed, "L-Lots of different reason. Um...one, I can now see color because of him so, that's a little obvious. But I love everything about him. His smile, his freckles, the way he fangirls when his turtles do something cute. Haha...There are so many more reasons but I think it's safe to say that I love him." Said Alexander. The whole time he talked, he smiled big and blushed a hella lot. This was the most adorable sight to Peggy.
"Awww! I'm sorry, Eliza, but I have to abandon ship. This one is so much cuter!"
Alex tilted his head, "What?"
"Ooh, I wonder what the ship name could be. Hmm...Lamilton...Jalexander...GASP! LAMS! IT'S LAMS! IT'S PERFECT! MWUA!"
"Seriously, who the hell says 'gasp' instead of actually gasping?"
Peggy cleared her throat, "Sorry. So, what did you need my help for? I'd do anything to get this ship sailing!"
Alex awkwardly laughed, "Well, I'm trying to find a way to confess to him but I want it to be perfect. Do you have any ideas?" He asked.
Peggy looked up and thought, "Hmm, let's see...uh- wait! If I do this, how the heck will Eliza react!?"
"Eliza?"
"Yeah, she's head-over-heels for you, Alex! If you start dating John, she'll be heart broken."
"Eliza loves me? Oh no, that explains a lot. What do we do now?"
Peggy sighed, "I'm really sorry, but before I help you, I have to talk Eliza out of being in love with you. I just don't think she can take a heart break."
Well this plan didn't work. What do I do now?
And poor Eliza...she'll be heart broken if me and John get together.

(I was gonna stop the chapter here, but let's just make this one really long lol)
:September 7th 2016:
"God...dammit." Alexander groaned as he lied down on his bed. It was Wednesday and Alex had caught the flu somehow. And this was just perfect because Alexander had a debate meeting today and he had an entire 69 page script for it, and he for sure would have won.
"Alexander, promise me that you stay home. You're really sick and are in no condition to go to school." Said John as he stood at his bedside. Alexander coughed and said,
"You're not my mom! I can do what I-" Another coughing fit began.
"Yeah. You're staying here. Want me to get you anything before I leave?"
"Get me some...ice cream. Strawberry."
"Alex, you shouldn't have ice cream when you're sick."
The two fought about ice cream (for some reason) until Eliza came and burst through the door.
"JOHN, IS HE BREATHING!? IS HE GOING TO SURVIVE THIS!?" She screamed as she practically hovered over Alexander's bed.
"Eliza...he's fine. I mean, he's not fine. But he's not dying if that's what you want to know-"
"JOHN! QUICK, GET SOME PAIN KILLERS! GET A DEFIBRILLATOR! WE CANNOT GIVE UP ON HIM JUST YET!"
The room was stunned into silence.
"Eliza, I'm fine-"
"HE'S ALIVE! JOHN, HE'S ALIVE!" Eliza tightly embraced Alexander and 'cried'.
"Eliza, you're gonna get sick!" John said as he pulled Eliza off of Alexander. But he was more annoyed by the fact that Eliza was clinging onto him.
"S-Sorry, I guess I overreacted. I just really care about Alexander."
John sighed but what he meant was 'hey biotch get off my future boyfriend before I cut you'.
"That's sweet, Lizy, but I'm fine. Just a little sick, is all. I'll be at school tomorrow." Said Alex in a raspy voice.
"Hey, can I just look after you? I mean, someone's got to! You're so sick right now." Suggested Eliza. John didn't like this idea.
"No, how about since I'm actually his roommate, I look after him." Said John, trying to be nice as possible.
"C'mon, you always get to see Alexander! Let me have a turn. Please, John?"
Laurens just could say no to Eliza. And her offer was really sweet anyway.
"Fine...but as soon as I get back, you have to leave. Okay?" Said John as Eliza cheered.
So Laurens ended up leaving for school while Eliza stayed behind to look after Alexander.
Alexander didn't know why he suddenly got sick. He was gone the day before! But that's just the thing with sickness. At first, you seem safe and harmless but then BAM sickness ambushes you when you least expect it.
"Alexander, do you need anything?" Eliza asked. She was way to close to him for comfort.
"N-No, John already provided me with the things I needed." He explained.
"Oh...on a scale of one to ten, how would you rate your pain?" She asked.
Confused, Alex answered. "A five? No, a six. Actually...a seven. But it's not like I'm wounded, you shouldn't freak out like this, Lizy."
Eliza sighed and sat down, finally, "I know, I know. I just care about you- as a friend- and want you to stay healthy always!" Eliza cringed at the word 'friend'.
Yeah. She totally likes him. Peggy must have failed at talking her out of it.
"Well, that's nice of you, I guess. But you don't have to watch over me. If I needed someone to, I would have just asked Laurens."
"Oh...Laurens." Sadness filled her eyes at the mention of his roommates name. She was oddly jealous of Laurens. He got to be Alex's roommate, he was, like, super close to Alexander, and Eliza wished she could have that with Alex too.
Eliza came up with an idea. "Hey...why don't we talk about...crushes?" Eliza wanted to make sure that Alexander was completely available.
"Isn't that *cough* a thing that girls do at sleepovers?" Asked Alex, confused about why Eliza had came up with an idea like that.
Eliza blushed, "Haha, well I'm just curious. Is there...anyone that has been grabbing your attention? Anyone that makes your heart flutter?"
There was no way Alexander could answer this question now that he's aware about Eliza's feelings.
"I, uh, can't answer that."
"So you do?"
"No! I mean...crap."
Eliza was puzzled. Was the question really this hard to answer? Or was he just embarrassed?
"C'mon, I won't tell anyone." That was a lie. She would immediately tell her sisters if he had a crush that wasn't her.
On the other hand, Alex didn't know how he could answer.
"You would judge me. No."
"No, I won't! Why would I judge you for a crush? The only thing you should worry about is me shipping you with them." Most of the time, that was true. But there was no way that Eliza was going to ship Alex with someone who wasn't her.
"Er, nahh...I can't say. Sorry."
Well, that plan failed.
"What about you?" This was now just to mess with Eliza.
She blushed, "Uh, no one, no one. No...haha."
But he knew she was lying.
Ahhhhahahaha Eliza is really interfering with the Lams.
Oh well.
That's how it's gonna be.
Question of the day
Character you'd be friends with?
Uh, everyone? xD Probably Eliza.
Hey here's a tip. We all hate Say No to This, right? Well, just replace 'Maria Reynolds' with 'John Laurens' and replace the female pronouns worth male pronouns and everything is okay! Better, even! :D
Holy hell this had 1944 words.
