Y/N'S (POV)

I woke up before anyone else in the glade.

I decided to get dressed in a faded blue shirt a pair of jeans and short boots.
Since Tommy wasn't going to be running for a while I figured I would let him sleep.

So I went to Frypan and even though it wasn't time for breakfast yet he gave me an orange and a piece of toast.

I ate the orange except for the skin. And I put the toast in my pocket of my jeans..

I decided to walk around the glade since no one was around.

I walked past the deadheads, past the council hall, and arrived at one of the doors to the maze.

I looked inside the door as best I could because it was dark in maze..

But then I thought I saw two shadows cross the incoming sunlight..

"No I thought. Besides No one is supposed to be in the maze. Unless they are a runner."

I looked again as the shadows crossed the sunlight. And I was shocked by one shadow and terrified to see the other shadow.

One shadow was a dog a German Shepherd I couldn't see any other identifying marks on it..

The other shadow was a women she had a jacket on and when the sunlight hit her jacket I saw letters that made my blood run cold WCKD.

I wanted to run into the maze to get the dog away from danger before the monsters came but I would break the number 1 rule in the glade..

Minho wasn't up yet and neither where any of the other runners or gladers..

It's then I decided I had NO choice before I knew what my feet were doing I was in the maze and right in the front of the dog.

Yelling at the women "NO!" "Leave her alone."

Before I knew what was happening I felt myself being dragged by the lady..

I knew if I yelled "Tommy or someone would hear it."

I kicked and then I yelled as loud as I could. "NO! TOMMY, MITCH HELP ME!!"

She had a strong grip on me trying to drag me away from the glade from the only family I've ever known..

Still I kicked and screamed.. then it happened I felt a jolt of pain rush through my body. I was unsure of what the lady did to me..

All I knew is I was in a lot of pain and I suddenly felt really hot..

The lady looked at me and said "Well I didn't want to have to activate the connection between you and Thomas but I also didn't want separate you both as well."

I was trying to think what she was talking about connection between me and Tommy.. what connection?

                     Thomas's (POV)

I woke up to Mitch, Minho, and Newt they all had worried looks on their faces.

Then a sudden jolt of pain hit me like I was being electrocuted.

I looked toward my friends and said
"(Y/N) is in trouble. She's in the maze."

Mitch, Minho, and I got ready to go into the maze when Newt stopped us he gave us each a flower bracelet.

Minho joked "Newtie thanks for the friendship bracelet."

Newt looked at him and replied"They aren't from me shuckface (Y/N) made them. She said it's a protection against the Grievers or as she calls them Monsters."

I looked down at the blue flowers on my bracelet and said "Well if these do protect us we are going to need all the protection we can get to find her."

Then another wave of pain hit me like truck almost sending me to my knees.

The guys saw this and responded "Hey Tommy maybe you should stay here." This coming from Newt.

"Yeah Thomas whatever this thing you and (Y/N) have it effects you both.
And besides your still healing from your injury. Your not at one hundred percent yet." This came from both Minho and Mitch.

I looked at them and said "I'm going out there now to find her."

"Are you shanks with me or not?"

There response "Yes. We're with you Thomas!"

With that we headed into the maze to rescue (Y/N).

                          Y/N'S (POV)

The dog had run off into one of the ivy covered areas of the maze. I hoped it was safe.

We turned right then left then right again then left again..

My brain couldn't process the maze it was HUGE you could be lost and not know where you are going if you weren't familiar.

My body was weak from the electric jolt she gave my voice was shaky..
I tried to call out but nothing came..

I was scared that no one would find me..

Then I heard them voices "Come on Minho you know this maze pretty well where do you think she is? That was Mitch.

"Maybe she's hiding in one of the sections we discovered." That was Minho's voice.

There's no way Tommy would have come he was injured after all.. he needed to rest.

Then she heard it "Come on Minho we have to find her. I can't lose her."

Tommy he had come "Shuck." (Y/N) said under her breath.

If the lady knew Tommy was close she could hurt him by hurting her.

(Y/N) decided right there she wasn't going to let this bad lady hurt Tommy or any of her friends.

She saw they were nearing an exit from the maze it was now or never she got all the energy she had left and bit the lady hard. The lady screamed and let go of (Y/N) just enough to shock her again (Y/N'S)  scream of pain echoing off the maze wall but before the lady could grab (Y/N) again.

Thomas, Minho, and Mitch were there and saw the lady.

Thomas yelled with fury in his voice "Who are you?! LET HER GO!"

The lady smiled and replied "You and her are special."

Then she disappeared further into the maze.

                         Thomas's (POV)

I bent down carefully picked (Y/N) up every muscle in my body screaming to not carry her.

I took two steps and looked at Minho he knew what I was asking for him to carry (Y/N) back to glade.

With Minho carrying (Y/N) Mitch and I followed we made it back to the glade in matter of seconds.

Immediately (Y/N) was taken from me and rushed into the medjack hut where they bandaged her wounds and gave her something for the fever she started getting.

I was pacing in front of the door of the medjack hut I wanted to be in there with her.

I was so furious that she was in the medjack hut again I took my fist and slammed it into the wall that I was standing close by. Newt, Minho, and Mitch rushed over to me telling me to calm down.

I looked at them and said "if I wouldn't have gotten hurt then (Y/N) wouldn't have gone into the maze."

Newt came over to me and said "Take a breath. Now Tommy look at what's on your wrist."

I took a deep breath and looked at my wrist and saw the flower bracelet that (Y/N) made me.

I sighed and said "I know Newt I'm just worried about her."

Finally the med jacks came out with news on (Y/N)..

They said she was in pain from being electrocuted.. and something gave her a fever. But they have her wounds bandaged and her fever is going down.

I pushed past them and into her room.

I see (Y/N) asleep on the bed like she was when she first arrived here.

Then I hear it her soft voice saying words I rush over to the bed "Tommy. Mitch is your twin brother."

I'm stopped in my tracks I have twin brother and he's been in the glade all this time.
