Mina opened her eyes wide and looked around confused. Her arms and legs were tied to the four pillars of a large canopy bed. The room was bright, but there were no windows, only a large iron door. The room was a fully furnished bedroom, but no one seemed to live in it. Or at least there was no indication that there was another person before her here. Examining the ropes, she tried to tighten them, moaning in slight pain as the hard bundles dug into her skin.
Turning the key made her turn toward the door, and she held her breath as the heavy metal swung open and slowly opened, revealing a man, probably a little older than her, well-dressed and obviously self-sufficient.
"Oh, you're awake!" he exclaimed, grinning boyishly. He entered, closing behind him, and approached, resting his hands on the lower headboard of the bed. "That makes you even more beautiful, doll." he winked at her, his fingers tracing the frame of the tray until he reached the tied ropes around the left column, tugging absently.
Mina watched him in silence as he scrutinized every part of her body. "No injuries, that's fine, otherwise I would have killed them." he straightened up and stepped into a small armchair on the sides of the bed, leaned back in it, crossed his legs, and intertwined his fingers on his knee.
"You're probably wondering what you're doing here, why and who am I?" he asked softly, meeting her uneasy gaze. "First, welcome to your new home. From today, you will live here with me." he tilted his head and smiled even wider. "Second, I'm Choi Eunji, your new husband!" he spread his arms welcomingly. "Please?" Mina took a deep breath and looked at him as if a tree or something had suddenly sprouted from his head. "Don't be surprised, doll, you know I've loved you for years!" Eunji frowned. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier, but first I wanted to make sure I could give you the life you deserve that we both deserve!" he grinned again, nodding contentedly. "But we can be together now, just like before." he leaned back and closed his eyes, sighing contentedly as if he had informed her that he had hit the lottery jackpot.
Mina stared in surprise, confusion, and fear. This Eunji acted as if they were in love, and he hadn't kidnapped her, locked her up, and tied her to the bed.
"I ... I'm already married ..." she said softly, and he looked up sharply. "Are you talking about Kim Taehyung?" he clicked his tongue, shaking his head. "He doesn't matter, doll." Eunji shrugged indifferently and smiled again. "He will look for me!" Mina nodded confidently. "But he won't find you." Eunji stood up, brought the bed closer, and sat on the edge of the bed, running her hand over her calf and knee. "No one can find you here, doll, so don't worry." licking her lips, his fingers dug low into her thigh, and she shivered in pain as she bit her lip.
Her eyes filled with tears. "Why are you doing this, what do you want?" Mina whispered, pulling her legs and arms desperately. "Enough, I don't want to see scars on your body when I fuck you!" he roared and pressed her legs to tame her. She froze in horror, breathing heavily, and swallowed dry. "No ..." Mina cried as the hand holding her thigh slid up and down the inside of her jeans. Eunji licked his lips eagerly, his dark gaze fixed on the zipper of her jeans.
But before touching her intimately, he withdrew his hand and stood up. "Don't worry, you'll want it yourself, doll" he smiled, and she shook her head vigorously as tears streamed down her face, blurring her gaze. "We will see!" he grinned and left, letting her gasp from the lump stuck in her throat at the sight of his confident gaze.

"We found traces of a car, but not of a fight. Apparently your wife left voluntarily, Mr. Kim." Taehyung tried to keep from hitting the policeman, who hinted that his wife had probably run away with her lover. "There are also a few pairs of steps, of your daughter, your wife and three other men." he explained.
"My wife left voluntarily so as not to hurt our daughter!" Taehyung hissed, looking sideways at the still-crying Lily. "I'm sorry, Mr. Kim, it's new." Taehyung turned to the approaching civilian. Lieutenant Seyong was a friend of Namjoon's, and he and Taehyung had known each other for a long time.
"Seong, you don't know how glad I am to see you!" Taehyung shook his hand. "Keep that feeling, because you'll hate me soon ..." the lieutenant muttered. "Come on, let's talk in peace, the child can stay with the nanny, right?" Taehyung felt his blood freeze. He gave quick instructions to Ms. Min and assured Lily that he would return quickly and set off after Seyong.
"What's going on, Seyong?" Taehyung sat across from him in the manager's office, who came out at the police officer's request. "Taehyung ..." he sighed and leaned back, wondering how to begin. "I don't want you to freak out first ..." Taehyung, on the other hand, did the exact opposite, feeling panic grip him and strain every nerve in his body. "The thing is, I suspect who kidnapped your wife ..." Seyong looked at him for a long time. "But I don't know how to find him or where to look." Taehyung clenched his jaw, wiping his sweaty palms on his pants. "Who is it...?" he asked, trying to control his panic so he could think rationally and help as much as he could.
"I am listening to you." the lieutenant nodded, clasped his hands on his knees, and took a deep breath. "I guess you've heard of the murders of the eight women?" Seyong asked, and Taehyung nodded. "Your wife responds perfectly to the profile ..." the lieutenant bit his lip, leaving Taehyung to make sense of what he heard. "You mean ..." Taehyung turned pale and shivered. "Each of them disappeared from a public place, the only difference, she was declared missing and found dead three days later." Seong nodded and looked down, unable to see his friend's pain.
"Of course, it's just a guess, no matter how many matches there are." Seyong hurried to reassure him by tapping him on the knee. "I'm sure she's fine, it's only a matter of time before we find her." he smiled encouragingly, though he himself didn't believe his words.
Taehyung was struggling to catch his breath, feeling the ground rest on his shoulders in an attempt to crush everything he and Mina were trying to build. It was as if someone was punishing him for unknown mistakes in a previous life, taking away all his happiness at once. Mina and Lily were everything to him, the meaning of his existence and the thought that he was about to lose her just killed him. And if the police were powerless, what could he do? Who could do anything? Really, after everything the two went through before and after they met and reunited, would it end like that? How was he going to look Lily in the eye, what did he have to say to her when she asked him about her mother?Taehyung buried his fingers in his hair, bowing his head. Why, why him, why Mina?
Anger, pain, hopelessness, despair, and helplessness merged, and Taehyung exploded like an atomic bomb. Jumping to his feet, with a bloodthirsty roar, he began to sweep everything before his eyes, ruthlessly crushing whatever he touched.
For a few minutes, the manager's office looked like a furniture grinder with almost nothing left, but Taehyung didn't stop, pounding hard on the wall as his hands began to leave bloody marks. Seyong stood numb, and all he did was avoid possible blows, thinking that it was better for Taehyung to vent his anger like that than to do something stupid that could get him into a lot more trouble or worse to cost him his wife's life. Exhausted and crushed, Taehyung rested his forehead against the wall and slumped to his knees, sobbing painfully. Seyong knelt beside him and patted him on the shoulder.
Seeing a man like Kim Taehyung in such a state was something no one dreamed of. His fists were still drumming weakly on the wall, on the sides of his head, streams of blood running down it, indicating where the blows had begun. Taehyung himself was an absolute mess of angry growls, heavy oaths and swearing, and unable to stand on his own two feet as a cold emptiness engulfed him from within.
"She will be back, Taehyung, I swear!" Seyong whispered as he himself wept, and Taehyung looked at him pleadingly, clinging to the only hope he had at the moment.
