"Absolutely not!" Jin made a horrified face, and Mina sighed desperately as she returned to the locker room. Her assistant helped her take off another dress and put on her next.
Since Mina had no family or friends with whom to share the moment she chose her wedding dress, she had asked Jin to accompany her to both the dress and the altar, and he took his responsibilities too seriously. This was the seventh dress she tried on.
"Here, try this one!" from behind, the curtain reached out, and the assistant picked up the ethereal dress, helping her take off her current one without even being able to look at her.
She held her breath at the sight of the delicate ethereal lace. The clean, straight line of the dress encircled her body perfectly, the light fabric enveloping her without tightening, but it still clung tightly and fell freely down her legs.

Mina looked around, amazed at Jin's taste, she had never seen anything more elegant and beautiful and yet so clean.
"Dear God! This is the dress, my little one!" Jin stared at her with a drooping chin, and she blushed in embarrassment, "Taehyung will swallow his tongue when he sees you in this dress!" he circled her, looking at her from all sides, enthusiastically commenting on the qualities of the dress and the bride. Mina wasn't sure which of the two was more enthusiastic about the wedding.
The truth was, the closer the date got, the more nervous she was. Taehyung didn't seem to worry at all, taking the initiative for dinner, guests, menu and decorations. He was literally flying with happiness, assuring her that everything would be fine, that there was nothing to worry about. But the ball of nerves in her stomach kept threatening to explode.
Lily also couldn't wait to be a little bride, as she sweetly described herself, and to accompany her father and new mother, showing the priest's grandfather that she allowed this marriage. She and Taehyung had laughed for days at the statement that she allowed the two to marry because she couldn't wait to have a brother.
In general, according to everyone, everything was going well, only Mina was the one who was dying from the feeling that her nerves would not last and she would have a heart attack. Taehyung was constantly teasing her, already calling her Mrs. Kim, dreamily blabbering on about how happy they would be and constantly changing the number of children he wanted to have.
"It's time for the shoes!" Jin tore her from her thoughts, pulling her by the hand, to the shelves, which were littered with incredible works of art from which she had to choose. He didn't even give her a chance to change, saying that if combined with the dress, it would be easier and faster.
Min and this time he trusted Jin's taste. She was tired, she wanted to go home and hide. She wanted to hug Taehyung and Lily, who had been spending less and less time together lately, and she missed them. "Here, try these." she nodded and obediently put her foot in the shoe he handed her.

"Perfect, we're ready!" Jin grinned contentedly, chatting happily with the assistant as they settled the bill with Taehyung's card. She went to the locker room and changed slowly.
She was just putting on her coat when her phone rang and she hurried to see who was writing to her. "I miss you, I can't wait to marry you!" she smiled. Although there was no time during the day, but Taehyung didn't miss these sweet messages. He obviously thought they would make her feel better, but that wasn't what she needed.
"Mina, are you ready?" Jin's voice came from the other side of the curtain. No, she wasn't ready, she wanted to, but she wasn't, and she didn't mean the change of clothes. She doubted they were doing the right thing, maybe they were in a hurry with this wedding. Yes, he loved her and she loved them too, but they were so different, their worlds didn't even touch. She read the message from Taehyung again. She would do it for him and Lily, or at least she would try, but she was afraid she would ruin what they had, like everything else in her life.
Taehyung kept telling her that she needed to believe in herself more, but in fact he was her strength, and when she wasn't around, she lost the little confidence she had gained in recent months. She knew she shouldn't rely on him so much, but Taehyung had become her addiction, the reason she woke up in the morning, smiled, lived. He had reminded her of human warmth, something she had lost after Kaya's death. Mina rubbed her forehead, her head roaring and her temples throbbing painfully. Sighing, she passed the dress by the hand and stepped out of the locker room, face to face with the impatient Jin. "It was about time!" she shrugged and handed him the dress with indifference.
Jin stared after her as he handed over the dress for wrapping. Ever since she asked him to hand her over to Taehyung at the wedding, the two had spent a lot of time together and he had known her well. And now he unmistakably recognized the beginnings of anxiety and depression he thought she had overcome. His mother had struggled with the same thing, and Jin knew how difficult it was to overcome the gravity of the black abyss, which promised only self-blame, regret, and unhealthy self-criticism.
Jin envied the connection between Mina and Taehyung, but his friend had unknowingly become the center of her universe, and without him, Mina felt empty and insecure. Taehyung was busy with their company's latest project and had told him that he had hardly seen Mina awake in the past week. He was right to worry about her. Taehyung had also begun to feel this need for her in order to feel calm and motivated. It was not only love, but an obsession that each of them aspired to, that they needed. Their relationship reminded him of Romeo and Juliet, who eventually died for each other.
Evidence of this was Mina's appearance, her demeanor, and the apathetic manner in which she treated everything around her. At least her fiancé was enthusiastic about the wedding, he did everything else just because he had to.And it all came from their old wounds and fears.
Once again, Jin made sure you couldn't completely heal anyone's heart because the scars remained, and with them the memory of the old dark feelings that were easily awakened once you turned on the lamp.
