"Ah Petalburg City!" I said as I pranced around in circles when Jeremy and I arrived at Petalburg City.

"Okay calm down, Luna. It's just a city." Jeremy said.

"Yeah, a city that I'll get my first gym badge in!" I cheered. But first, we had to go to the Pokémon Center to heal Treecko and get Kobe, the Eevee. I ran all the way over to the Pokémon Center, a white building with a red roof. I walked over to Nurse Joy and handed her my Pokéball containing Treecko.

"I'm guessing you just got your starter Pokémon today." She assumed.

"Yup. It's a Treecko!" I answered.

"Treecko is a good starter! I'm sure both of you will become great friends." Nurse Joy beamed happily. She then put my Pokéball in a machine, then after a few beeps, which made quite a catchy tune, she handed me back Treecko.

"Thank you and have a nice day." She gave me a slight now and smiled.

"You too." I answered respectfully, then I headed to the PC then I turned it on. I clicked on Luna's then I viewed all of the Pokémon my dad placed into the PC. Then I found Kobe and I clicked on him. Suddenly, he appeared on a little table right beside

"All set?" He asked.

"Yup. Let's get my first gym badge!" I enthusiastically cheered.

Jeremy and I walked out of the Pokémon Center and headed to the Petalburg City Gym. A few minutes later, Jeremy and I come across a large semi oval shaped building. I held my head up high as I walked to the front door of the gym. 'You can do this, Luna. You've trained a lot and your Pokémon trust you very well do know what you're doing. You know their moves, and what types are super effective against it. You can do this!' I thought to myself. Jeremy and I walked inside the large building, even though I was a bit nervous but at the same time I had high determination that I will defeat the gym leader.

I saw a tall man, standing in a distance with his arms crossed talking to someone around my age. I didn't want to interrupt or else I could get kicked out and not be able to become a champion like my dad. That would be bad. The guy who was talking to him then left and I calmly walked over to the gym leader.

"Hi I'm Luna!" I introduced myself. "And this is my friend Jeremy." Jeremy waved. The gym leader looked down at us and smiled.

"Hello, I'm Norman, the Petalburg Gym Leader. What can I do for you today?" Norman said.

"Well I was wondering if you can battle me, and hopefully get my gym badge." I replied.

"Okay, let me see your four other badges." He said.

"Say what now?" I answered with a awkward smile.

"Once you get four gym badges, you have the right to battle me." He replied.

"Yeah um I'm a new trainer, and I don't have any gym badges..." I slowly said, hoping that he wouldn't be mad at me.

"I'm sorry to say, but you need four gym badges to have the opportunity to battle me." He responded.

"Okay..." I said sadly then Jeremy and I walked out.

"Wait!" I heard someone call. I turned around and saw Norman calling my name.

"Yeah?"

"Listen, the next gym is in Rustboro City, it's not far from here. After you get through the Petalburg Woods, you'll find Rusboro City. After that, collect the rest of the 3 badges then come back when you have four." Norman explained.

"Okay, but I have a feeling that it will take a while. At least, I'll get my first gym badge soon." I answered.

"Okay, until then." He said then waved.

"Until then." I replied then Jeremy and I headed out from the Petalburg Gym, towards the Petalburg Woods.
