Chapter 5
It was a good minute before Damian actually said something.
"I-um-uh-Tt." It took Damian a minunte to compose himself. "I am Damian Wyane." He held our his hand and Pixie shook it.
"I'm Pixie Witsel.....you already knew that." She tucked a strand of blonde hair behind her ear and silently cursed herself for not putting her hair in a ponytale.
"Yes. I did know that. I have to take you to your locker before the bell rings." Damian grabbed Pixie's wrist and began to walk towards the school. Girls gave Pixie a death stare as she and Damian walked past. When they got to Pixie's locker she put all he books done and began to unpack her bag. Damian looked at her pile of books; his eyes widened when he saw the one on top.
"You read Harry Potter?"
"No, I don't read Harry Potter, I live Harry Potter." Pixie smiled "Do you like the series?"
"-Tt- I've read all the books a countless number of times, I have watched all the moives, I went to the theme park, and as a 10th birthday present I demanded to meet J.K. Rowling. She autographed my entire series."
Pixie looked up at Damian as if he had just said he met God. "You are the luckiest human on this planet."
"I know." Damian looked at his watch. "We have to get to first period." He attempted to grab Pixie's wrist but he grabbed her hand instead. His action made his checks burn, just a little bit. Pixie's face, on the other hand, turned a bright red.
Damian correctly grabbed Pixie's wrists and brought her to their first class of the day, science. It was very unexciting. Than came language Pixie and Damian booth took Latin. Pixie takes it because she finds it intersting. Damian takes it because he speaks every other language offered at the Acamdy, fluently. Then the elective class. Pixie loved to cook so she took Home Economics. Damian also took Home Economics but it was only because Alferd forced him to. The last class before lunch was language arts. Pixie and Damian grabbed their lunches and went to the cafeteria.
"Where do you usally sit?" Pixie asked.
"By myself. Most of the males here are brainless neanderthals and most of the females are harlots."
"It's not nice to call girls harlots."
Damian rolled his eyes. "Do you know what harlot actually means?"
"Yes. It means you think that the girls here are like prostitutes. That's a horrible thing to say!"
"Pixie you have only been here one day. In a few weeks time you will share my opinion on the females."
There was slience for a moment. "Do you ever get lonely sitting by youeself?"
"No. I don't need annoying companions to make me happy."
"Yeah. I didn't really have any friends at my last school. I had to sit with girls who hated my guts."
"Those females were obviously imbeciles."
Red once again filled Pixie's cheeks. "Thanks." She said softly.
They threw out their trash and went to their next class. Gym. Damian was amazingly good at everything. Pixie was not. Than came social studies, there is nothing exciting about social studies. Finally it was math. Pixie and Damian were both extreamly bored because one student just didn't get the Pythagorean theory so the teacher had to explain it a million times.
"It's not difficult a squared plus b squared equals c squared." Pixie whispered to Damian
"This entire course will not be difficult."
The bell rung and all the students sprinted out of the classroom to their lockers.
"Thanks for making sure I didn't get lost."
"I did not have a choice in the matter."
"Yeah, but you were nice to me. You didn't have to do that."
Nice. Damian was shocked, no one had ever called him 'nice' before. Most people called him the exact opposite of nice.
A black limo was parked outside.
"That is my ride."
"That limo is huge."
"I know."
Pixie laughed. "Your so modest."
"Was that Sarcasm?"
"No! Of course not!"
If any other person he would have surely ripped them a new one, but she looked so happy that the thought didn't ever cross Damian's mind.
"I have to go now." Damian said.
"Bye, Damian!" Pixie curtsied like a princess, Damian bowed like he was in the presance of a princess and got into the limo. Alferd was smiling at Damian.
"Who's your new friend?"
"Tt. None of your concern, Pennyworth." Damian turned his head to the side so Alferd wouldn't see him smile, but Alferd saw. A real, happy smile was on Damian's face. Alferd knew this was the start of a beatiful friendship.
