Chapter 22
"Pixie, mommy said, I mean mommy didn't say that you should play Mario Kart with me." Alice stared at her big sister with huge eyes knowing she messed up her 'script.'
Pixie looked at her youngest sister then to the doorway of her room and saw her mother standing there.
"I just wanted to let you know that you didn't have to stay in here by yourself." Mrs. Whistel kissed her daughter's forehead. "Me, your father, Rose to a certain degree, Anna to a certain degree, your Grandmother-"
"She would have hated Damian."
"You don't know that."
"Yeah I do. He was everything she dosn't want me to be around. Not Christian, not white, not agreeing with her political views-"
"All of that aside she still wants to help you. You know that. I was just trying to explain that you have people in your corner that's all."
"Thank you." Pixie hugged her mother. She then turned her attention back to her computer. Pixie's fingers flew across the keys. She had almost completed the 'how to type' program that Barbra made for her.
Since Damian's death, Pixie had been spending a lot more time with Barbara. This was mostly due to the fact that Blair had, once again, started brutally killing criminals.
Bruce knew that Pixie needed some kind of a support system so she would not have a mental breakdown, but her usual go-to-person was too busy cracking skulls and snapping necks. Bruce knew that personally he wasn't ready for such a large task, but Barbara was. He saw enough similarities in the two to see that, if given the chance, they could become friends.
"You're finally learning to type?" Mrs. Whistel asked her daughter.
"Yep. It was time for me to learn how to do it the right way."
"Good. I'm glad."
"Mom? could you do me a favor?'
"Anything within reason."
"Give me a ride to Wayne Manor?'

"If you don't think you're ready, you don't have to go back. No one is forcing you back to school."
"But it has been three weeks! The teachers won't listen to 'I'm sick.' for much longer."
Dinah Lance didn't know how to respond. She knew that Pixie wasn't wrong, but at the same time she was worried about the young girl's mental health.
"How will you respond when someone asks you about about Damian?"
"I don't know. I'll say he's visiting some far away country or he decided to transfer schools or he got in a sports car accident. It's easy enought to make something up."
Dinah took a deep breath. "If you think your ready, I won't stand in your way. I just want to make sure you're okay."
"Thank you, Miss Lance." Pixie hugged Dinah. "It's really nice to have someone to talk to."
"Anytime."

The bones in the man's arm snapped as Red Swan twisted his arm backward.
"Pl-please h-have m-mercy," He begged.
"I don't do mercy."
A bullet shot rang centimeters from Blair's ear.
"Let him go," an electronic voice growled.
"You can't tell me what to do, Hood."
Blair took her own pistol and shot a bullet right into the criminal's head, killing him instantly.
Jason ripped his helmet off. "Blair, you need to stop this. It's not right."
"Yeah, okay Batman," She spat back. "You're not exactly hero of the year either. "
"Don't you dare compare me to him."
"Then don't f**king act like him!"
"Blair, listen. We all miss Damian. Even Tim....kinda. You can't act like this though. Doing this won't bring him back."
Blair's eyes grew under her mask. "You're right it won't."
Jason held out his hand. "Come home with me, Princess."
Blair took his hand. "Just this once."

Jason woke up the next morning around noon, which was surprising given the lack of sleep and the 'vigorous workout' he had the night before. He wasn't surprised to see Blair gone either. He could count the number of times she waited for him to wake up before leaving on one hand. What surprised Jason that morning was the note she left.
Jason,
I thought about what you said to me and you're right. Killing like what I was doing won't bring Damian back. But there is something, more specifically someone who can. I know that I swore never to go back to the league, but I need to. I will never be able to live with myself knowimg that I didn't do try everything to bring back Damian. Do NOT follow me. Do NOT try and get me to 'come home.' This is my choice to make.
Blair
P.S. If I don't come back Pixie gets everything I own.
Jason reread the letter five times over before he actually got what it ment and when he did he felt as if someone had sucked out his life force with a drinking straw. He hit number two on speed dial.
"Bruce, we have a huge emergency. Blair is rejoining the league."
