I turn the water on, thankful when the cold water blasts out. I had already showered last night after my workout because I was really sweaty and who would feel comfortable sleeping like that? But now I was actually just going to stand in the shower to escape this god damn heat!

It was the hottest day of the summer by far and the day hasn't even fully started yet! It was barely eleven and I just couldn't deal with the fact it was just going to get hotter.

Maybe I should just take a bath in cold water instead...

"Annabeth!"

"What the fuck are you doing here?" I glare at Nathan standing at the doorway of my bathroom with his hands covering his eyes. "Hey idiot I have my clothes on you could look."

He removes his hand from his eyes and smiles brightly at me. "Let's go!"

He happily walks past me and turns the water off. "But I-" he takes me by the wrist and drags me out of the bathroom and down the stairs.

"I'll bring her back later!"

"I know. Have fun!" My dad was sitting in front of the tv with the fan on high right next to him.

"Wait!" I unlatch his hand from my wrist and hurry upstairs. "Just give me a second!"

I jog up to my room and open the door. Kissing my index and middle finger I bring it down to my framed picture then close the door and rush back to Nathan downstairs.

"Okay let's go." He furrows his brows in confusion but takes my hand anyways and leads me out of the house, closing the door behind me.

"Want to tell me where we're going?" After he opens the passenger door he jogs in front of the car to the drivers side.

"I already brought food for your dad." He opens the door.

"I didn't-" he shuts the door. I glare at him through the windshield until he finally climbed in the car and shut the door closed.

"And to answer your question we are going to escape this heat." I roll my eyes and buckle in my seatbelt.

He puts the car in reverse and backs out the driveway then into drive when we are on the street. "Where's Christian and Rebecca?"

"Their at home with the AC, they didn't want to go outside."

"And you did?" I lift my brow.

He smiles. "Only to spend time with you." Why the fuck would he want to do that?

"Where's Lily?"

"At the beach." She texted me in the morning complaining nonstop. Her family decided to go to the beach since it was so hot and she wanted to stay home with the AC like Christian and Rebecca, but they wanted to go swimming and would not leave her alone in the house after what happened last time (she almost burned down the house).

He nods silently, "where are we going?"

"You'll see." I sigh. Suddenly I feel myself freeze up as we near the incoming street. I turn and stare past him, out the window, towards the water.

"We're going to the beach?" He shakes his head, slowly coming to a stop at the red light.

A few cars make a left and pass us, obviously heading towards the beach until finally the light turns green and we continue going straight.

"No... We aren't." I nod slowly. Then where the fuck are we going?

We make a right at the next light (proving indeed we were not going to the beach) and continue going straight until we make a left at the second light. After a few minutes of driving we turn right, into an empty parking lot.

"Don't you know it's closed today?" We were at the towns pool which I had no clue in which why they chose today, of all days, to be closed. It was quite idiotic of them.

"Oh I know." Parking in one of the many empty parking spaces I quickly remove my seatbelt and get out of the car.

I walk up to the off-white building with a gray fence surrounding it that had a sign warning trespassers would be blah, blah, blah.

The windows and doors of the building were black. Even with the sun blazing down you wouldn't see anything inside except maybe where the pool was if the lights inside were turned on.

I hear a door close and turn as Nathan walks up to me with a backpack strapped on his shoulders. "Well then what the hell are we doing here? As you can see the pool is obviously closed..." I wave my hands at the building.

"Isn't it obvious? We're going swimming!"

"Oh yeah and how do we do that smart ass?"

He stops and stands right next to me and inspects the building. "By going inside... Getting in the pool... And moving our arms and legs... To swim..."

I roll my eyes. "Funny." I say sarcastically.

He walks up to the fence. I lift my brow and follow him- stopping short when we are just a few inches from the fence.

"Guess this means we're sneaking in?" He nods his head, smirking.

"What? Is Annabeth afraid of trespassing?" I laugh, turning my back at the fence, I lean against it looking at Nathan with amusement.

"Wow you really are turning out to be a comedian today." He shakes his head, a hint of a smile on his lips. "You know I didn't think you even had a bad bone in your body." I cross my arms and smirk at him when I see him get defensive.

"Oh please." He goes in front of me putting each arm in either side of me, caging me. "I do."

"Really?" He nods smirking, this is just getting funny. "Well then how do you suggest we get in, bad boy?" I try my best not to laugh at the last part. "There's a fence blocking us."

"Simple. We jump."

"Oh but I've never done that before." I lie. He smirks, shrugging nonchalantly.

"Of course you wouldn't. You clearly don't have the experience that I have." Okay now I know he's just lying to make himself look good.

"Apparently not..."

"If you don't want to do this then we can always do something else... Unless you do want to then by all means join the dark side." I raise my brow.

"Please," I roll my eyes. Putting my hands on his chest I push him back. Turning to the fence I start climbing up, quickly reaching the top. I jump and land gracefully on my feet on the other side. "I've been." I mutter to myself.

I turn back at Nathan's shocked figure and walk to the chained fence that's now separating us and grab onto it with my hands.

He shakes his head. "I'm guessing you've done this before." Oh Nathan. You don't even know half of it... You wouldn't want to.

"You could say that..." I mutter. "Come on, bad boy. Join the dark side." He shakes his head.

"Climbing fences? Trespassing? Framing somebody? You just keep surprising me." He shakes his head again. "What else is there?"

"Are you just going to keep talking or...?" I back away from the fence to let him climb up. Once he reaches the top he jumps off like me but lands not as gracefully.

I turn my back to him and walk up to the building. "What's your plan?"

"Easy." He stands beside me. From his pocket he reproduces a silver key and holds it out proudly as he smiles at me. "I behold you the very own key that will open the door to the beloved pool."

"And how'd you manage to get that?" I cross my arms.

"Let's just say a handsome, brave young man came here when it was opened in the beginning of the summer and one of the lifeguards had left their little office booth open so when he left that handsome, brave young man snuck in and grabbed a spare key. He then left the pool to a local locksmith claiming it was a key to his house and wanted a spare. Once he received that spare from the locksmith he returned the original spare key the next day at the spot he had grabbed it from."

"Clever boy." He smiles.

"The clever boy thanks you." We walk up to one of the side doors. I wait for him to open the door then walk inside. The lights inside the pools were obviously off so I walk to where I knew the lights to the pool were and switched it on.

One side of the room was for the little kids or anyone else who can't or doesn't particularly want to swim could stand in. And the other was the deep end with diving boards on my far right. There was a set of bleachers on either side and as well as the set in my right against the wall.

No one was here for sure. Not even the security guard, which was a good thing for us. I hear the door close and a second later Nathan is by my side putting the key in his pocket.

"So you had this all planned out?" He nods.

"Am I good or what?" He smirks.

I cross my arms and tilt my head as I stare at the lower end of the pool where the kids who didn't know how to swim would be at. "What was your first mistake?"

"Mistake? There is none... I made no mistake."

"That's very true." I nod my head. "You made mistakes... As in, more than one." This time I turn my gaze to him. "Let me enlighten you on a few things." I hold up three fingers and count them down one by one as I list them off.

"You may be prepared to go for a swim in your swimming trunks but does it look like I am?" I was in a pair of workout shorts with my converse and a regular t-shirt. In no way, did I look like I was ready to swim.

He curses. "I'm sorry I forgot-" I hold up my hand.

"You got a key from here. Good job, but you might as well have gotten the key for the fence outside so we didn't have to jump which everyone knows they leave a key in the drawer in there." I point to a room, with a huge window so the lifeguards could still see everyone.

"And you forgot one major thing."

"Which is?" I ignore him and silently walk to the lifeguard room. I open the door which was of course unlocked and went to the desk.

I pull out the first left drawer and grab a roll of happy face stickers they usually gave to little kids as a little "token" or to just shut them up when they were being annoying or bratty.

"What's that for?"

"You'll see." I close the drawer and lightly push Nathan out the way.

I go to my left and start climbing the bleachers until I'm all the way at the top. "You forgot the cameras!"

I stand right in front of the camera making sure it gets every angle of me and smile and wave at it, wiggling my fingers before I remove one of the stickers and stick it on the lens.

I then go to each other corner and do the same. Occasionally flipping the cameras off, smiling sweetly at it, waving at it, blowing a kiss to it... Pretty much doing everything but avoiding my face. The last one was the camera directly above the door, which I needed a boost from Nathan to cover.

Once I'm set on my feet I place the stickers back in the cabinet and close the door behind me.

"That settles that." I wipe my hands. "Now for the next problem... well I like jumping fences so that doesn't matter." I wave myself off. "I don't get it... Why would you go to the trouble in putting the stickers on the cameras when you made sure they saw you?"

"I did no such thing." I put my hand in my chest and start walking to the deep pool. "Anyways yeah they saw us but do you really want them seeing footage of us swimming and all that? I mean it's called privacy."

I pull my hair into a pony tail. "So you don't care that you just showed your face literally right in front of the cameras and could get into serious trouble? Like get a ticket or something?"

I laugh cold heartedly. "Oh Nathan, your so naive." He stares at me confused. "They aren't going to do shit to me. And now that your my boyfriend they aren't going to do anything to you either." I clear my throat. "Come on, did we come here to talk or to swim?" I remove my shirt and place it in the bleachers behind me.

"What are you doing?" I turn to Nathan. His hands are covering his eyes and his face is all red.

"What does it look like I'm doing?"

"Um getting undressed!" I chuckle as I walk up to him and pry his hands away from his eyes.

"Hey open your eyes you baby." He does. His eyes widen as he catches sight of me in my bra. "Seriously this is no problem! You've gone swimming before, you've seen girls in bikinis! What's the difference if I'm in my bra and underwear? Its like the same thing."

"But... It's more... intimate." I laugh.

"Your so innocent." I walk away from him and remove my shorts until I was only in my matching black and white bra and underwear. I'm actually really glad I wore my cute shit today. I turn to him but he still looked anywhere but at me. I roll my eyes. "Look if it helps it's not like your the only one I've done this in front of before. It's honestly no big deal for me."

This time he does turn to me. "No. That in no way helps!" I shrug my shoulders. Thought it would have. "But now that were on the subject who else have you gotten undressed in front of?"

"It was just my bra and panties." I roll my eyes as I wave him off. "And people okay? This isn't exactly the first time I took an unexpected trip to the pool with no bathing suit." I watch as he opens his mouth to ask another question but I interrupt. "Come on, bad boy! Last one in is a rotten egg!"

I book it to the edge of the pool and kick off my converse. In my side vision I see Nathan quickly remove his shirt. God. Muscles. Six pack. I shake my head when I see him remove his pants until he was in his black briefs.

I take in a lungful of air and jump into the water, the cold water hitting my skin making me instantly cooled. There's a splash nearby me and I pop back into the surface and see Nathan do the same.

"How long can you hold your breath under water?"

"I don't-"

"Count of three! Three!" He plugs his nose and inhales a lungful of air and goes under water. I roll my eyes and repeat his motions and go under water as well.

He takes me by surprise when I feel him pull me closer to him. I open my eyes to see a blurry Nathan smiling at me. I raise a brow questioningly at him when suddenly he pulls me to his chest and kisses me.

I had to unplug my nose so the kiss wouldn't be as awkward, which made water go up my nose. I gave him a quick peck on his lips and went up to the surface. "Ugh."

I hate when water goes up your nose, I can't stand it! Nathan resurfaces next to me, exhaling loudly.

"Was that your plan all along?" I look at him trying to blink away the blurriness out of my vision.

"Maybe." He smiles.

I roll my eyes. "Come on." I swim to where the diving boards are. Once I reach the edge I hoist myself up and quickly walk up the steps of the diving board.

"What are you doing?" I walk to the edge and jump up and down until I finally jump off and cannonball into the water using one arm to plug my nose.

Little bubbles of water scatters around me as I float back up to the surface and wipe my eyes. "Happy now?" He swims towards me.

"Very much so." He grabs onto the ledge and stares at me. "What?"

"Race you." I roll my eyes and swim to the ledge.

"End of the pool?"

"And back." I squint at him.

"Your on."

"On your mark..."

"Go!" I take in a lungful of air and plug up my nose and go under water and swim with one hand. It wasn't hard but it did slow me down.

I felt waves next to me and know Nathan has caught up to me. There goes plugging my nose.

I ignore the water and continue swimming. Occasionally bobbing my head to the side to inhale water then continue swimming.

I reach the end of the pool and quickly dive under the water, kicking the wall to give myself a boost and swim to the other side.

I catch up to Nathan quickly and swim faster when I do. My hand hits the wall and I surface out of the water the same time Nathan does.

"I won!"

"What the fuck? I did!"

"You cheated you went before me!"

"Well go means go..." He rolls his eyes.

"Rematch?"

"Your on." I smirk.

"Count of three. One... Two.."

"Hey! Who's there?!"

"Shit!" We quickly hoist ourselves up from the pool then run to our stuff and quickly grab them. I had just stuffed my feet into my converse when Nathan grabs my arm and runs to the exit.

"Did you not check the guards schedule?"

"I forgot!"

"Stop!" We run out the building and see the guard had left the gate open for us. "Hey stop right there!"

I turn around, laughing. "Bye Paul!"

The guard immediately stops dead on his tracks and shakes his head. "Bye Annabeth!"

I smile and run to the passenger side of the car and get in as Nathan throws his stuff in the back and turns on the car and flies us out of there.

God that was the most fun I had in ages! I laugh like a lunatic as we drive farther away from the pool.
