I wore a white jumpsuit and went downstairs to greet my mom and her sister's which means Nicole will be here and Dave too.

Dave Johnson is my childhood crush our parents thought we'd be together forever but I soon got over him now we're just casually friends.

People usually spend Christmas at their houses but my mom loves spending time with her sister's so they come over every Christmas to spend time together.

Mom " Alexa get the finger foods "

Alexa " sure mom "

I head to the kitchen and get the five platters and begin to arrange the snacks my mom made with zoey .

Mom " David go help your cousin "

He comes to the kitchen and I hand him the red velvet cup cakes to arrange.

Knowing that more cousins are on the way I made him arrange enough.

Dave " I'm done "

Alexa " Great come over here and help me with the duffel eggs "

I gently arrange them on the platter my hair almost gets on a few but he holds my hair backwards for me .

I hear someone cough and I know it's Nicole.

Nicole " Hayden wouldn't like this "

She says picking a cupcake from the platter and taking a bite.

I try to move but he's right behind me I stand steady by holding his chest for support I move past him and wash my hands .

Alexa " it's nothing and you know that "

Dave " Alright I'll be taking my leave "

Dave's 21 just like Aaron so he usually dosen't have time for Nicole'a taunts and I'm still wondering how I fell for someone my brother's age.

I look at the neatly arranged platter's each filled with Cupcakes,duffel eggs,miniature meat pies,sausage rolls and weirdly enough chicken wings it was my idea .

I neatly arrange them on the table and head back to the kitchen I use the mirror to try and see so I can pack my hair in a bun but I feel someone else's hand on my hair and you guessed it it's Dave he used a rubber band to catch my hair in a tight bun .

I'm not suspecting anything he's quite friendly and nice I'm sure it's just a friendly gesture .

Alexa " Thank you "

Dave " Your a lot taller than I recall "

Alexa " Well I was pretty young "

I said with a hearty smile

Dave " But your smile never changed "

Alexa " Look whose lovely today "

Dave " Nah your still the Dragon butt I know "

We both laugh gently

Dave " why don't we beat this joint "

Alexa " more reasons for my mom to push us together "

Dave " True well I'll be eating all the finger foods "

I watch him leave his designer sneakers following his trail .

I quickly jog the thought out of my head I take my phone from my pocket and call Hayden.

Hayden " Hey babe I'm a bit occupied "

Alexa " Just called to check up on you and I can't make it to your buffet"

Alexa " My cousins came over it's a bit stressful "

I hang up and join my cousin's in the living room .

His arms swung on my shoulder and the whole house laughs Dave's mother is giving us a story from when she lived in Compton it's a bit sad but she always has a peachy ending.

Mrs Johnson " Dave was such a handful kids would beat him up and take his lunch money "

Dave " that wasn't all it "

Mrs Johnson " Yeah it was that's why I moved here to give him a break Al though that experience gave him a strong back bone "

Dave " Yeah and I'll always be proud of that "

I find myself leaning in on him he dosen't move though.

Mom " Now I'll tell you a bit about my five kids "

Before I oppose my phone rings I excuse myself and take it .

On the line : Kailey

Kailey " Hey bestie I'm bored "

Alexa " I can't my cousin's are over "

Kailey " can I come "

Alexa " Might be risky "

Kailey " I'm Latina not white I'll be there "

I hang up and Head back to the living room.

Dave " Saved your spot "

I return to my spot and listen to my mom's embarrassing stories when Kailey shows up surprisingly things go better Aaron introduces her as his girlfriend and she spends the afternoon teaching my Aunts Spanish things went great .

It was late and my Aunts were on their way home I hugged Nicole bye and I hugged Dave bye too it was a long hug though Because he'll be back at college soon .

It's New Year's Eve

It's my best time of the Year.
It's quite different this year Justin is throwing a New Year's party and I'm thinking if I should spend it at home or at Justin's party.

I decide to go the party but come back home at 11.

I took a bath and wore a lacey gown and a black dress underneath.

I arrive at the party and head to the snack bar and take a bite of the chocolate cupcake i was so hungry i skipped dinner hoping the snacks will be worthwhile and there were.

After stuffing my face with most of the snacks I go around looking for my friends.

I jolt in my steps as I see Aaron and Dave speaking to Hayden and kailey.

I quickly head to them and interrupt the conversation.

Alexa " Hey guys what's up "

Hayden " My lady in red "

He says pulling me by my waist He plants a kiss on my forehead.

Dave " This is your boyfriend I presume "

Alexa " He is actually,Hayden this is Dave my cousin "

Hayden " we've met actually "

Alexa " That's nice "

I begin to stir up the possible outcomes of my boyfriend knowing about my childhood crush.

The party goes great I spend most of the time dancing and eating I threw up in the bathroom twice luckily Justin was their.

I finish cleaning up and get my things and begin to leave for home .

Dave and Aaron drove me home.

We arrive back at home but I was too stuffed to eat so I just sat and waited for the countdown.

It's like the 4th of July I see Aaron wrapping his arms around kailey and for a moment I feel lonely before I receive a new text from Hayden .

I smile and tuck my phone back in my pocket I feel Dave's arm's around my neck but I choose to ignore it .
