Laie Third Ward
December 17, 2017
Okay, hands down, wards in Hawaii are amazing. Every speaker started their talk with "Aloha" and the congregation responded! Some of the men wore grass skirts over their church pants and some of the speakers wore leis, like a return missionary speaking and someone about to leave for their mission. The Tonga Sister's were there and they sung. Apparently, they have pretty good hits on YouTube.
They were pretty cool.
So apparently when the ward sends someone off on a mission, they sing a type of goodbye song in Hawaiian. (Or the native language). It was so cool! People went out to the parking lot to give the missionary leis afterward, kind of like the leis that the graduates received. I had fun.
Well, goodbye for now!
