Today it occurred to me that I know how to crochet and it would be great if I could use that learned skill to sell goods to customers.

I made six potholders so far, half of each one at least. Wait lemme backtrack. First I made a nonbinary pride bracelet from crocheting some yarn that I happened to have the right colors for.

Now moving onto weaving with a loom. I handwove six halves of potholders. I'm weaving the other halves of each respectively tomorrow because goddamn my shoulders, it's a lot of work.

It looks very sedentary, and to be fair it is, but it feels like a physical sport on my shoulders after hours of remaining in that one position to do this repetitive task. It's meditative but it is work.

People like handmade stuff though. I'm gonna shoot for six more, total twelve. I have to make two parts for each and kind of stitch the woven halves together, because they need to be nice and thick to hold hot stuff.

I believe I could charge around forty dollars for a dozen set. That's fair for something handmade.

So happy to finally put this skill I taught myself as a kid to use. Especially because I've had all this yarn from my old hobby laying around for like twenty years.
