chapter 11: Possible rival/victim?

(A/N: can you guys see the picture? I had to retake the picture because the lighting was bad and for some reason it keeps telling me that it failed to load. Hopefully it's only my phone that has this problem. I had to use my brother's iPad (it's technically not their's but they use it all the time) to take the picture because I kept getting fed up with my phone telling me that I'm out of space delete more pictures when I have none. Anyways, this is @Geek-it-out 's OC. Forgive me if his personality is a little off, this is my first time hearing of a coodere so I was looking for some examples and the only one I could find was Haruhi Suzumiya, which I have seen the anime and read the manga for, though she seems more energetic than the OC. Anyways enjoy the story.)

----------------------

Toshiaki's POV:

Another victim was killed.

This time it was the substitute teacher for class 2-1, Ayano's class, last week known as Kaneko-sensei.

The killer did a pretty good job of getting rid of the evidence, however I ended up finding a bit of blood in the grinder and a torn up piece of a shirt with blood on it. I figured out that the shirt belonged to Kaneko-sensei and that the blood was also his. Unfortunately I couldn't find the murder weapon.

Kaneko-sensei was murdered the same day he was fired for his behavior. Most likely he was murdered as he was leaving the school when no one could witness it, not to mention his low reputation helped the killer murder him in privacy. After he was dead the killer took his corpse to the grinder and put the corpse inside. The corpse and the murder weapon was disposed of and the blood (except for the blood in the grinder) was cleaned up. However the killer did realize that a piece of Kaneko-sensei's shirt was left behind.

Another murder and I still couldn't catch the killer. It's obvious that I'm dealing with an experienced murderer, well either that or the killer is getting help from someone who has an even more hidden presence than I do.

I feel bad for Ayano though, it seems that no matter what I do the victims are connected to her somehow. She's actually a pretty nice person even if she has trouble with emotions.

"Hey Seigi-san, someone wants to see you."

My thoughts were interrupted by Supana Churu, a classmate of mine who hangs out with me sometimes when she's not in the occult club or when I'm not doing my investigations.

"Who is it Churu-san?" I asked.

"She's talking about me."

I look up and see Ayano standing next to Supana.

"Aishi-san?" I said.

"Nice to see you again Seigi-san." Ayano said.

"I didn't know you had a girlfriend Toshiaki-kun." Ryusei Koki, a friend and classmate of mine, said.

"Aishi-san isn't my girlfriend Ryusei-kun." I said.

"Sure.~" Ryusei teased.

"I've already told you that I'm not interested in a relationship, especially after you know what." I said.

"Your always so serious, always putting detective work ahead of everything else." Ryusei said. "After school I'm making you hang out with me and the other guys."

By the other guys he means what I like to call the male version of the rainbow six. Sigh, knowing Ryusei he's not going to let me escape. I may know self defense but Ryusei is much more faster than I am.

"Fine, knowing you, your not going to let me say no anyway." I said then turned to Ayano who was still patiently waiting for me (Supana already left to the occult club).

"I apologize Aishi-san for keeping you waiting, Ryusei-kun always gets the wrong idea when I talk to other girls, it took me a long time to explain to him that Churu-san and I are just friends." I said.

"It's fine Seigi-san." Ayano said.

Ayano and I left the classroom and started walking around the school.

"So what was it that you wanted to talk about Aishi-san?" I asked.

"It's about the tapes you gave me." Ayano said. "I listen to them this morning and I was wondering, you thought I'd be interested in them because the events that the guy in the recording was talking about happened the same time my parents attended this school right?"

"Yeah your right." I said. "When I heard those tapes I was curious to know more about that event but I'm pretty sure that the school isn't going to talk about it so I did some research and I found out that a lot of the people who attended this school at that time sent their children to this school."

"If that's the case why did you give the tapes to me of people." Ayano asked.

"I figured that you would know more than others, neither Ryusei-kun or Churu-san know a lot about their parents life's at this school and as you can see I'm not best when it comes to hanging out with others without bringing up my detective work." I said.

"I hate to break it to you but I don't really know much either and my parents are currently overseas in America, sorry." Ayano said.

"It's fine, I was just curious anyways, well mostly because it seemed similar to the murders that's been happening lately." I said.

"You really are serious about your detective work, huh?" Ayano said.

"Someone has to be. Ryusei-kun says I should get a girlfriend or boyfriend but I've told him that I'm not interested in a relationship." I said. "I don't understand love, it's too complicated."

"I guess I'm not the only one who feels that way." Ayano said.

I never thought that I wasn't the only one who didn't understand love. I was certainly right about Ayano being different than other people (in a good way).

Suddenly Ayano got bumped into someone and she fell, actidently taking me down with her. I didn't realize until I was on the floor that Ayano fell on top of me.

"I'm sorry about Seigi-san." Ayano said, getting off of me.

"It's fine Aishi-san." I said.

"Hey watch where your going." Someone said.

Both Ayano and I looked in the direction of the voice. We saw a boy with burgundy hair with a golden sakura flower pin keeping his bangs out of his face and brown eyes.

"I'm sorry about that." Ayano said.

"Whatever, I'm going to the drama club." The boy said and looked at Ayano before walking off.

"I think I should get going too, I want to get some investigating done before after school, since there's no way I'd be able to escape from Ryusei-kun." I said. "Goodbye Aishi-san."

"See you Seigi-san." Ayano said.

After that we parted ways. Though I can't help but get the feeling that it won't be the last time seeing that boy.

Ayano's POV:

After Toshiaki left I noticed that there was an ID card on the floor. I picked up the ID card and looked at the card. It belongs to the boy I bumped into earlier, apparently his name is Kanashimi Riry.

Suddenly a pair of arms wrapped around my waist. I turned my head and saw Satsuki with a smile on her face.

"Hello Ayano-san." Satsuki said.

"Oh hi Satsuki-chan." I said.

"What is that your holding?" Satsuki asked, looking at the ID card I was holding.

"An ID card that belongs to some boy I bumped into earlier, he must have dropped it." I said.

"Oh really...?" Satsuki said, grip on me got slightly tighter.

"Yeah, I should return it to him later." I said.

Satsuki (hesitantly) stopped hugging me and grabbed my hand.

"We should get to class now, I'm sure Shizu-san is waiting for us." Satsuki said and we started walking to class.

(Time skip)

???'s POV:

Here it is, Akademi High School.

Rumors have it that there's been murders happening at this school.

I can't wait to see some beautiful performances that will happen here.

And maybe I'll even get to see my mistress again.

To be continued.

(A/N: I apologize for taking forever (again), the last two chapters of my other story took longer than I thought to complete. And I was having writers block when it came to this chapter (so hopefully this chapter wasn't too bad). I'll try to be a little faster when it comes to completing the chapters. Thank you for being patient.)
