Properly feeding yourself prevents binge eating the wrong things✌

"When we meet our physical, spiritual, and soul needs first, our sexual desires quiet down. Your body, soul, and spirit are all connected. When you're getting enough sleep, exercise, released endorphins, community time, connection with God, etc. then you'll find your sexual desires calm down and can be managed easier." - Moral Revolution

Never in my entire life (aside from the Bible) have I read something so true. I noticed that whenever I'd find myself in sin, or on the verge of it, it was when my physical, spiritual, and or soul needs weren't met. For me this not properly managing my stress, depriving myself of community, and not spending time with the Lover of my soul. On the opposite side I've found that when I'm well rested, properly managing my stress, and HAVING QUIET TIMES WITH THE LORD (it's in caps and bold lettering because it's the most important one) my temptations are no match for me. Yeah I still feel tempted (because I'm human, and we're all tempted), but it's much easier to say no.

Some people rely heavily on alcohol as a stress reliever. However, when an alternative such as exercise is used to manage stress it's much easier to say no to the alcohol because they're no longer dependent on it and consequently no longer need it, as their stress levels are already being reduced via exercise. Sexual addictions work in a very similar manner. When we get our needs met in a healthy way we're no longer dependent on sexual sin to get our needs met, and conequently no longer feel as if we need them, ultimately allowing us to say no.

Yeah there are practical things you can do, like blocking certain websites, and getting an accountability partner (which are great!), but those are only temporary fixes if you don't get to the root of the problem; unmet needs in this case. If you find yourself going through cycles of being "clean", and then cycles of being in sin it's probably because you're either not getting to the root of the problems by properly getting your needs met, or you're simply not being consistent in truly getting your needs met.

Think about what you're feeling in the midst of temptation, find ways to combat that, SPEND TIME WITH GOD DAILY, and you'll be amazed at how much easier it is for you to say no to your temptation.

I pray this reaches whoever it was meant for, and that it's the start of something awesome! Leave any questions, comments, prayer requests, and pretty much anything else in the comment section, or message me! Lots of love, and be blessed. Xx
