Entry #6
I made this a long time ago before I was good at writing so it's pretty bad.

*intro*
Young Catra ran through the hallways of the Fright Zone, crying. She wanted to be alone so she ran behind storage boxes filled with old pipes. "Catra!" Adora had clearly followed her. "Catra, come out. I know you didn't mean to hit Lonnie. It's okay, I'll tell them. They won't be mad. But first, you gotta come out tell her you're sorry". Catra ducked back down her ears flicking. Adora smiled and walked over to her. "We were all just having fun. You didn't have to do it. Why'd you do it?". Catra swung her claws at Adora's face and pushed her away. Adora touched her face and tears formed in her eyes. Catra was hissing at her.
Catra stared painfully out a window on Horde Prime's flagship. Outside the window was a planet, explosions seemed like sparks of light like the stars. Catra jumped down from the ledge to the ground. She kept walking down a hallway. Soon, she stopped and looked behind her. A clone was following her. They're still at this, she thought. Catra just walked on. She hadn't been looking where she was going and bumped into a clone. "Are you guys following me?". "I am here to attend to your needs, little sister. It is Prime's commands". That didn't make Catra happier about the situation. "I can't go two steps without one of you breathing down my neck. If I'm a prisoner, he might as well make it official". A second colne came up behind her. "You are our honored guest. We are here to make your stay more comfortable". And you're doing great at that, she thought sarcastically. "Right". Catra ran away from the clones and down another hallway. She thought she had gotten away from the clones when she nearly bumped into another one and she yelped. "This part of the ship is off-limits to you, Catra''. "You called me Catra. None of the other clones do that. You remember me, don't you? Here's a clue, you don't like me. Hordak''. "It is wrong to have a name. Prime's chosen servants are but parts of the whole''. Look, it's okay". She ran her claws through her hair. "The name thing can be our secret. It's just--. It's good to see a familiar face". "This part of the ship is off-limits to you, little sister". Catra's face fell, disappointed. "Yeah, yeah got it". Catra walked off.
On Mara's ship, Bow was checking some holograms that showed the point they were tracking. "We're getting closer to the signal Entrapta triangulated. We should reach Glimmer in the next-- Nope!" Bow spotted Entrapta taking off a panel and examining the wires inside. Bow pulled her away. "What are you doing? You can't apart the ship while we're inside the ship. Did you forget about the, I don't know, crushing void of space?". Entrapta's face lit up at his last words. " I love thinking about the crushing void of space! But there's always improvements to be made. I could really boost this baby's speed". Bow threw himself in front of the panel to protect it. "No! We have to keep the ship intact until we can reach Glimmer". He heard a thud and gasps. The main char was shaking and Adora was standing next to it. "Sorry". He grabbed them both and put them in specific spots. "You, stand there. You, stay there. And until we reach Glimmer, nobody is going to touch anything". The ship rumbled and the computer spoke. "Diagnostics have a prob-- Problem. My user interface will now shut down to conserve energy. Goodbye". Bow ran to the computer system "No! No, no, no!" The lights went out and the ship gradually slowed to a stop. Adora and Entrapta gasped. Adora was the one to say something. "I didn't do it".
Catra was planning to talk to Glimmer but jumped when she got close to the cell and something hit the door. "Hey there, princess. How's the escape attempt going?" She teased. Glimmer scoffed and rolled her eyes. "You again. Why do you keep coming back here?" "Just bored, I guess," Catra lied. "No, I mean, Horde Prime told you not to talk to me. He's gonna catch you eventually. Why risk it?". Catra looked away from Glimmer to the floor and pushed back tears. "You're lonely, aren't you". She knew Glimmer was right but she wasn't going to let her see that so she snapped at her. "What do you know? You're the prisoner here. I can go where I want. So, stay by yourself for all I care". Glimmer stopped her from leaving. "Ok, ok. You're right. It helps having someone to talk to. Even if you're the last person I'd ever want to be stuck here with". Catra chuckled softly. "Trust me, Sparkles, the feeling is mutual". Catra turned her head away slightly and smiled. Both of them walked towards the cell door and sat back to back. Catra was the first to talk. "So, what would you be doing if you were back on Etheria right now and not, you know, a prisoner on an alien ship?" "I guess maybe... Maybe I'd go teleporting all around Etheria, visiting the other princesses in their kingdoms. If it were a really perfect day, Bow, Adora and I would be having a sleepover". Glimmer chuckled as Catra looked at the wall next to her at the mention of Adora's name. Glimmer continued her story. "We'd raid Bright Moon's kitchen for cake and then we'd eat it with our hands right off the platter". Catra stopped smiling as memories ran through her mind. "We used to have those". "What?". Catra smiled again. "Sleepovers. Me and Adora, when we were cadets in the Horde". Her tail tip flicked and she chuckled quietly "We'd play tricks on Kyle and stay up all night whispering about..." She trailed off and looked at the floor, she smiled and her face was bright red, blushing at the thought of Adora, "... You know, whatever". Catra's mind begged Glimmer hadn't seen Catra blushing about Adora. Glimmer didn't seem to have noticed. "Did Adora still thrash around all night and, like, sleep-fight? What was that about?". Both of them laughed. "She always did that. Adora can't even relax when she's asleep". They laughed again. "I miss them. I was so awful to them the last time we saw each other. I'd do anything to go back and make it right". Catra just barely held back tears. She figured Glimmer would be forgiven but Catra knew she wouldn't be. She regretted her actions and what she's done to hurt the rebellion. Glimmer broke Catra's thought concentration. "What about you? What would you be doing if you were back on Etheria?". "I'd--. Uh, nothing. There's nothing for me on Etheria". Catra couldn't take much more and so she got up and walked away.
"It's okay! I'll fix Darla," Entrapta piped. "Darla?". "I named the ship Darla. It just felt right". "Classic Entrapta," Adora rolled her eyes playfully. "Uh... Okay, you can fix Darla". Bow said reluctantly. "But we have to be careful". "Great!" Entrapta went through a hole and Bow tried to stop her. "Entrapta!". He looked back at Adora. "I promise not to move or touch or break anything". Adora smiled innocently at him. "Okay, I'll be right back". He left the main room to go after Entrapta. Adora suddenly heard steam hissing behind her. "Huh? Uh-oh. Bow? There's a thing...". Adora decided to fix it herself. She placed her hand on top of it and the steam stopped. She slowly lifted her hand and she smiled in triumph. A panel shook and rumbled. A bunch of wires popped out. "Oh". Adora grabbed the tape nearby. "Ha ha! I got this".
Catra started gloomily at the ground as she walked on. Her claws were digging into the metal, marking it. It calmed her to dig her claws into something. She looked up and spotted two clones heading towards a door quickly. Catra was curious. "Now, where are you two going in such a hurry?". Her claws detached from the metal and she silently ran after them. She hurried in and hid behind a column before she was seen. One clone stepped onto a pad and the other went to a control panel. "Contacting Panet 1659 ground base. Please prepare to receive our brother into your flock". Green light beamed from the pad and the clone was teleported. Catra walked out the door, her eyes fixed on the room. She hadn't seen the clone standing right outside the doorway. She bumped into him and he glared at her. His eyes closed and opened again, white pupils in them. "There you are, little sister. I seek your company". Catra's expression turned fearful. Catra walked with the clone to a room with more clones standing off to the side. A pool of green liquid was in the center. She glanced around and all the clones seemed to be staring at her. Horde Prime acknowledged her, "Sister, thank you for joining us. I have been scouring, searching for She-Ra, but what I seek is not yet to be found". The screen behind him lit up. "My drones recorded a ship leaving the planet. A ship of such ancient design that it is not detectable by my instruments. How can this be?". "I don't know". Catra looked away from Prime's gaze. "Hmm..." Catra knew he would see the truth soon. "I don't. Me and Adora, we're not friends. I don't know anything about her plans". Catra lied, her voice was fast and barely convincing. Prime frowned, "And yet you seek to protect her". Catra looked sadly at Prime. 'And I'm doing a horrible job at it'. "You have been speaking to our guest, Queen Glimmer, against my command. Have you not, sister?". She was about to protest but stopped herself. "You have pity for her. You will speak to her, and learn what you can. She must have some knowledge of this mysterious ship". Catra didn't want to betray Glimmer but her thoughts raced on something else. 'What if... Adora's on that ship. I don't want to hurt her anymore than I already have'. Catra looked at the floor. "That won't work. She doesn't trust me. She's not gonna give me anything". Prime didn't let go of his glare. Catra lied to him to get Prime to let her go. "Believe me, if I could tell you where Adora is I would. She's my enemy. I want her gone". Those last words stung her. That was the opposite of what she truly wanted but Prime seemed to believe her. "Oh, look at you, poor sister. Your Adora causes you nothing but suffering. Don't you want to be free of it?". Prime's two extra eyes blinked at her. Catra realized she shouldn't have said what she had and she let out a gasp of fear. "There is another way. Let me show you. Step forward". He motioned for the clone to come to him, he obeyed and bowed in front of Prime. Catra glared at Prime. "You spoke with our little sister this morning, did you not, brother? What was it she said to you?". The clone, which was Hordak, didn't see a way out of it so he told the truth. "She gave me a name. Forgive me, brother. Please take this affliction from me". Catra looked up from Hordak to Horde Prime worriedly. "Hmm. Those who seek freedom will be granted it". The clones started to talk repeatedly "Cast out the shadows. Cast out the shadows". Hordak looked at Catra and she realized what she had just done. As the clones kept speaking, Hordak walked into the pool of green water. The water started sparking and Hordak shouted in pain. Catra's ears were flat and her mouth was wide open. "I am sorry that you must suffer". Catra looked at both sides of the room then back to the pool. The room filled with green smoke then disappeared quickly. Hordak turned, his head down. When he lifted his head his eyes were blank white. She knew that this was her fault. Prime held out his hand to Hordak. "Behold the purest among you". Hordak took his hand and pulled himself out of the water. "One to be honored". The clones were shouting yes. Catra was terrified and Prime only made it worse. "Do what I ask of you". Catra saw no way of getting out of this.
Catra's ears pricked once she got to Glimmer's cell. The clone, who had escorted her, opened the door. Catra walked in, "Give us some privacy?" "Of course, sister. Prime sees all". He did a slight bow before closing the door again. Catra looked down in embarrassment. Glimmer teased her, "What's with the babysitter". "Here". She held out a box with a slice of cake in it. "It's the dumb food you wanted. You know, from your perfect day or whatever". "I remember. I just--Thanks". Catra was eager to change the subject. "Don't go thinking I actually care about you". She gave the box to Glimmer. "I'm supposed to talk to you. So, eat the stupid cake and then answer my questions". Catra looked back at the door. It was clear the clone hadn't moved. She wanted to ask Glimmer privately so she could think about what to tell Prime. "What's going on?". Catra lowered her voice to a whisper. "Don't say anything, just look at me". She backed Glimmer up so Glimmer sat on the edge of her bed. "An old First Ones ship left Etheria's atmosphere a few days ago. Prime cannot track it. What do you know about it?". Glimmer gasped and dropped the box on the floor, smashing the cake. In an instant, Cata knew what that meant and fear rose inside of her. "Adora's on that ship isn't she". Catra got up from the floor and nearly started to walk away, but Glimmer grabbed her arm. "You can't tell him. You know what he'll do to her if he catches her," she protested. Catra pulled away from Glimmer's grip. "Adora's on her way here. She's coming for you. I don't have to do anything. I just have to let it happen". She started to walk away but Glimmer blocked her path. "And you think Prime will reward you? As soon as you're no longer useful to him, he'll get rid of you in a second". "I always find a way out". Catra tried to push past and Glimmer pushed her back. "So, you'll just run away? To what? If Prime captures Adora, he can use the Heart of Etheria to wipe out the whole universe. Is that what you want?". Catra was shocked. Obviously, she hadn't known that the weapon would destroy the universe. They both backed up slightly and Glimmer grabbed her hand. "Please, Catra. Do one good thing in your life". Catra didn't have time to think and instead she snapped and yelled at Glimmer. "Don't talk to me like you know me. You don't know anything about me! Hey!". She banged on the door. "Let me out". It opened and she left. Behind her, she could hear Glimmer crying as tears formed at the edges of her own eyes.
Bow walked into the main room of the ship. "Adora, have you seen Entrapta--" he trailed off as he saw Adora struggling with a bunch of wires. "What are you doing?" "I have everything under control". "That's not what I asked. I told you not to touch anything". He helped her out of the wires. "It's bad enough that Entrapta has disappeared somewhere". "Oh, yeah. She was just in here. She said she was looking for...Uh...a blowtorch and a really long piece of rope". "Why didn't you stop her?". "I kind of had my hands full here". She just finished putting the wires away. "Adora, we are so far out of our depth right now. We're about to fly into the heart of an evil alien empire, and all we've got between us and certain death is this fallen- apart old ship. But now the ship's broken, and we haven't got Glimmer and who knows where Entrapta...is" Adora had pointed behind him and Bow turned around to see Entrapta floating in space. "Hi" "What are you doing out there?" "I made space suits for us and then i fixed the ship from space! Where I am!". "Oh, so that's what the rope was for". Bow started laughing nervously. Adora reluctantly joined him. "Is this a good laugh or a bad laugh? Well the longer it goes on the more I think it's a bad laugh". Bow took a deep breath. "Entrapta, get inside. Adora, put down the tape. We're just going to get back on mission and nothing is going to derail us again!". The ship powered down again and Bow sighed. "I got it"
"It is as our sister said. We have done a sweep of all quadrants in our vicinity, and we have located the Etherian ship. It is almost here". Horde Prime turned to Catra. "You have done well, little sister. Soon, She-Ra will be mine. And with her, Etheria. All because of you". Catra didn't move, say a word and just looked at the floor in guilt. "You made the right choice. You will be exalted, raised up above the other wretched creatures of your homeworld. Is that not what you wanted?" Her gaze flickered from the signal to Horde Prime. "Yes, Lord Prime". "Go now in peace". Catra left the room, a wave of unknown emotions flowing over her.
Young Catra was still hiding behind the storage boxes, crying. Adora had come into the hallway. "Catra? It's dinnertime, and you're missing it. It's the gray kind tonight. I know it's your favorite". Catra shifted away. Adora pressed up against her but Catra shoved her away. "What are you doing?". "Well if you're missing dinner, then I am, too". "Just go! Eat with your new best friend, Lonnie. "Is that why you hit her?". "I know you like her better than me. You're supposed to be my friend". "I am your friend, Catra. I'm always gonna be your friend". Catra blushed at her realization and hugged Adora. "You should say sorry to Lonnie. And then we can all be friends". She pounced on top of Adora, "No". Catra started running off. "Come on, Catra". "I'll never say sorry to anybody, ever".
Catra walked down the hall. She stopped and sighed. She looked to her side to see her reflection. She couldn't even tell who it was staring back at her. Out of nowhere, she heard kids giggling. The noise was so familiar to her. It turned out to be her and Adora when they were kids. Catra gasped and her eyes widened as Adora looked at her. "I'm always going to be your friend". Catra tried to push back the feelings of love and regret but she couldn't. At that moment, she realized what she had to do and what she should have done a long time ago and she raced off to Glimmer's cell.
Luckily, a clone was delivering food so Catra stalked him and then pounced. She held his head down. "It's nothing personal, Hordak". She jabbed her fingers in the back of his neck, turning him off. She picked him up the best she could and alerted Glimmer. "I'm coming in". She opened the door. Glimmer seemed ready with a weapon but lowered it in confusion. "What are you doing?". "I want to do that one thing in my life. Like you said. So, come with me". She held out her hand. Glimmer hesitated a moment before grabbing it and they ran off. "Where are we going? What's the plan? How do I know I can trust you?". Catra told her the truth. "You don't". A clone appeared in front of them and two more surrounded them. "Little sister, why is our guest out of her quarters?". "She wanted to get some fresh air. Didn't you, princess?". She pounced on the clones as Glimmer jabbed one in the stomach with her stick. The other threw it away. Catra knocked him over. "Hit them in the back of the neck. That should take them down". Glimmer punched the clone and it worked. Catra chuckled, "Not bad, Sparkles". An alarm wailed and Catra knew they had to hurry. "Let's go". She held Glimmer's arm and ran to the teleportation room. She made sure Glimmer was on the pad. A green wall formed around her, "What are you doing?". "What does it look like? I'm getting you out of here". She closed the doors, "Good. That should hold them". "Wait are you--? Are you saving me?". Catra again told the truth as she saw no point to lie. "Not you. Adora. Even if I sent her a message to stay away, she'd still come for you. That's just how she is". The clones were banging on the door and starting to open it up. "What about you?". "Me? All I do is hurt people. There's no one left in the entire universe who cares about me.
"Is it working now?". Entrapta tested it out. "Are you there Darla?". "Yes. welcome back, Entrapta". Entrapta hugged the hologram but it zipped away "I missed you". The computer spoke again. "There is a transmission being received. Would you like open communication?". Adora pressed the button. "Catch it through". "Adora?". She recognized that voice immediately. "Catra?". "Don't sound so happy to hear me. I'm sending Glimmer to you. I don't know your exact location, but I can get her to your quadrant. You have to be there to catch her". This was all too fast for Adora to think. "Wait, wait, wait, what? What's going on? Glimmer is with you?" She could hear strange noises from the other side. Catra hurried up, "We don't have time. You need to get to these coordinates now. Don't come here, no matter what. Horde Prime is ready for you". "Catra, I don't understand, what is--". "Just listen! Adora... I'm sorry! For everything!". Adora heard Catra struggling against something and the sound of the teleportation starting. Soon, the radio wait stadic. "No. No, no, no! Catra! Come back!" "The communication channel has been closed". Bow wasn't going to waste time. "Entrapta, do whatever it takes to get to those coordinates". The ship sliced through space and Adora and Bow put on their space gear. " We're arriving at the coordinates". "Copy that. We're ready". The door opened to show a beautiful sun. "There!" a bunch of green sparks surround a specific spot. Bow ran out as Adora held the rope. Bow caught her and Adora pulled them back in. They all slammed in the back right before the door closed. "Glimmer". "Bow? Adora?". They hugged her. Adora didn't wait to ask questions. "What happened back there?". "I think-- I think Catra saved me. I think she saved us all".
Catra was being held by two clones and was being brought to Horde Prime. She was dropped at his feet, her eyes down. He used his foot to catch her gaze. "The Etherian ship has changed course...but your treachery will not save them. There is no darkness my light cannot peirce, no distance that my hand cannot reach". The clones chanted behind her. "Prime cast out all shadows. Prime cast out all shadows". "They will not be able to hide from me forever. You were beloved in my sight and this is how you repay me". Catra just laughed. "What did you expect? After all, us Etherians are so very emotional. It doesn't matter what you do to me. Glimmer is gone and you will never get your hands on Adora". "Oh, my child, you're wrong. Everyone has a place in my empire. You will be of use to me yet".
